Newly crowned “America’s Got Talent” winner Brandon Leake chatted with Ellen about what winning the $1-million prize means to him, how he first got started in spoken word, and how writing personal pieces has become cathartic and a way of healing for him. Then, Brandon took the stage to debut a moving poem dedicated to Breonna Taylor.

    • Sadly, for far too many, Christianity is a heavy financial and time consuming burden, when Communities are crumbling, CHILDREN and SENIORS are being HORRIBLY neglected and far too many churches are flourishing as well as condoning/allowing various heinous crimes.. Not Christ like at all... But his spoken word talent is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, and worthy of awards!!! Congratulations 🎊💖💯🎯

  • I wish all artists used their platform to spread words like this that America definitely needs to hear. Brandon did such a good job of that in his performances.     • Absolutely correct. It was poets such as Shakespeare and Mark Twain that spoke on current events and life in general that told of historical events while experiencing them. Edgar Allen, Walt Whitman and even Dylan Thomas were vital to historical storytelling. It is an art form that has failed to receive acalades
