Loved working on this 430 with you Sam, such a great project. That fire damage that would put most buyers off was a fairly simple fix. This doesn’t mean you can now buy whistling diesels F8 Ferrari and expecting me to work magic on it 😉😉😉
Although, i'd laugh to see a youtuber attempt to rebuild whistlin diesels Ferrari. Like a parody version hahaha
Well to be honest, the work wasn't complex but it is the knowledge you require which makes it possible. Knowing about the pumps being flawed, knowing where to get sensibly priced replacement parts, where to get the wiring loom etc.
Psyched to see you pop up in Sam’s video, hope it drives new folks to your channel, you deserve it. Sam acknowledging your expertise is also nice I’d imagine!
everybody owns a F 430 these days hehehe
@@chrishaug Do you? 🤣
The biggest upshot of owning a salvage Ferrari is you could put miles on it without worrying too much about the resale value. This looks like a car you should just enjoy and drive once it's finished.
That’s why James (Stradman), bought a rebuilt titled 430 Scuderia for that reason as well! 😎👍💯🐎🇮🇹🚗
Until it burns to the ground again. How many more Ferrari / Lambo fire vids until this shit gets called out? A 20 year old used Ford/Merc/Nissan/whatever will never catch fire. But a 6 digit piece of Italian thrash shows up on KZhead burned out. What a joke.
Also the more miles you put on after it’s repaired has less of an impact. It’s never going to be highly desired but it will always have a market.
I think he should sell a few cars and help out his step mom. I'm not sure if he knows what she is doing to make ends meet.
@@dennisfahey2379Who stradman or Sam??
Great vid. The last two trucks I've bought have been salvage, and it's so rewarding to turn them around. Lots of folks on social media hate on salvage vehicles - probably because they've never resurrected one. Nice work.
Sam, you have some real world talent on your team. I am jealous. These guys know their stuff. Incredible work done on this car
Samcrac you actually finished a project! In one episode!?!?! It looks AND sounds great, good job.
Only because that last shot at the end looks like it caught fire again
almost, there is some trim on the trunk lid still scarred. And the closing shots show smoke coming out and from the engine... ouch
@@TheFoyer13saw that as well.
Stepmum will be proud of him 😂
That's only because he wasn't the one working on it.
This has to be the sweetest rebuild on your channel ever. Cheers to all the talented guys that made it happen.
With the help of Scott (Rattarossa) the Ferrari Guru. Ben (vTuned) The body magician, Peter (Zila) welder instructor + Kandy Man the painter.. this project is definitely going to be really awesome..
@@JohnJayden-cl6eg So, what your message has to do with the clip above ?
@@JohnJayden-cl6egWhy would we follow the man who never rose from the dead to lead us to paradise? He himself is not at paradise so what makes you think he is the way? Muhammad's body rotted here like everyone else's.
Nah, i think his best rebuild is the Purple Gallardo . That had serious crash damage, much more difficult to fix bent metal than a burnt panel
@user-pn3im5sm7k no you ARE wrong CHECK ON GOOGLE
V-Tune is amazing. Warming the panel before installation because the bond dries better with heat is genius!
Teamwork made all the difference. Positive vibes and networking (KZheadrs) got you this amazing result. I enjoyed watching this build. Thanks Samcrac.
To be honest when I read the title, I thought this was Whistlindiesel's Ferrari
I was going to comment and ask him to repair Whistlindiesel's one now, but I'm 9 minutes too late.
His Ferrari is just ashes haha. There isn't coming back from that haha
That’d b a bigger rebuild then Freddy’s p1
I saw Ferrari and fire and thought the same thing.
That is whistling diesel Ferrari no doubt
26:00 I'm surprised ferrari hasn't had a class action lawsuit over those fuel pumps......same as the sticky buttons....what should fail is the pump mechanism NOT the connections or housing.....
You're not wrong but the people who drive cars like this don't need money. They aren't going to waste time on legal proceedings only to be rewarded with something that's not worthwhile to them.
How about a recall?
If it was an American car company, there probably would have been. It's a safety issue.
Not to mention the rear lights breaking off.
Ferrari's clients would never want to ruin their relationship with the brand, sometimes i believe that they build better cars for their long time client's
What an amazing group of people you assembled for this project! It was a joy to watch artisans in action. Thank you!
I love how you involve some of the best KZheadrs in your content Samcrac! This was a great quick build that I would certainly do!
This is one of Sam's best episodes. Long video, good jokes, lots of talented folks, cool car, and the satisfaction of seeing immediate results.👏
Glad you enjoyed it!
i just wish we could have had a visit from his stepmom when she paid for the paint job.
The Hunter Biden painting joke had me laughing out loud.
Completed project 😂
@@Samcrac, I was hoping you were going to mention the wheel/tire change. :(
I'm always impressed when I see proper workmanship, like Mitchell Collision Repairs, who cut no corners and redo incorrect work like the faulty rivets on the quarter panels.
I loved watching all the different people come together to get this car back together!
I have been involved in building a few race cars at the level of detail and construction that you guys are doing...then raced them for years. I can tell you that I almost enjoyed the build process, and teamwork it involved more than the driving...well not quite...but close! ;-) I think my car build days are behind me...thank you for taking me along on another amazingly fun ride!!!
I’m a long time subscriber of Samcrac, Rattarosa, & Vtuned, this is an awesome collaboration, on this Ferrari 430, this is legendary! 😎👍💯🐎🇮🇹🚗
I'm so glad that all of you have gotten so much better at bringing in good help rather than trying to do everything yourselves!
I love that Sam got the best of the best to help build this amazing car. V tune is super experienced, the welder was a1, ratarossa the legend and candy man one of the best painters in the game
Between V-tuned and Sam. Y'all 2 are best amateur European car experts on KZhead in my book. Sam always knows how to do the best research on parts , trouble shooting and repairs. V-tuned is 🔥with his body working skills , repairing and troubleshooting plus more. 🎉
What a great team effort ,but the paint looks phenomenal lol
the paint job was the best !!!!
@@ZILAweldspaint society has a video up about the paint job.

Wow, Sam. Hats off on this one. A completed rebuild from start to finish in one episode, and with great personalities featured throughout. A very satisfying watch. Bravo.
except he bought it in 2019 lol, either waiting on parts or something else.
Did anyone even watch the whole video? How is it satisfying if it's broken in the end?
I happen to stumble on this video. I am absolutely useless when it comes to cars but found the adventure of the rebuild amazing. Nice friends you have on your side. That truly makes you rich. The car is for show and an amazing car it is. Great video!! Ty for making it.
I agree with your dad! A branded title takes away a LOT - A LOT - of value but even worse it severely limits your buyer pool. Of course if you plan on keeping it forever it makes more sense - congratulations!
One of your finest videos yet. A lot of fun seeing the team. Great to see how professional the body shop was in their attention to the details. Rivets was a tremendous catch. It’s the difference between a good job and a great job.
Seriously, what an amazing fire damage rebuild! PS - Isnt there an NTSB recall on those gasoline fuel pumps?
I'm terrified it burned again from that last shot..
@@stopthephilosophicalzombie9017- Dude, and what he said about his Dad, smoke coming out the air intakes, and shot of the harness from a red intake when that intake was fully charred original state: Did this fucking thing catch fire again after the rebuild?!?!
Epic rebuild Sam! Certainly looking forward to seeing more on this car! So sweet!
i always like a video like this , no milking , no extra content or anything , just finishing up the car
I got cancer in 2018 and the Dominos car Pissed me off Just like Elanor. You introduced me to My People I have been a Tin bender all my life and restored over 500 Cars and 50 boats and hundreds of paint jobs, I was bedridden and you Boys ( you and Rich taking on the Man) gave me hope, everyone I watch is because of you Sam, Thanks for being My Hands when I couldn't work,! It gave me Hope. For the Little Guy. The Carter Boys!
Samcrac and vTuned is the dream duo
VTuned and Gonnzquad are the O.G duo!!!
@@palletwizard It looks like ol' V~Tuned and the Boyz are going to be collaborating on the G-Wagon build. Probably for quite a while.
Beautiful work by all parties involed..Great video Sam. Nice to see you working on cars again.
I don’t know what Sam has left to achieve in life but after this I think the rest is just gravy. The video was a masterpiece.
Wow, what a result Sam. Ratarossa and you did one hell of a job. It now looks gorgeous. An excellent paint finish. Hats off to you guys.
Sam, thanks for the long video that takes us through most of the repair in one viewing instead of stretching it out over many weeks. Great episode.
Fascinating project. I was wondering about the valve covers, a very visible element, that seemed to have had the paint bubble up from the heat, that is, if they were repainted.
Excellent work. Big congratulations to all involved.
I can’t believe we got to see you finish this project in one sitting. Enjoyed it throughly and thanks. Keep them coming!!
This was a really cool collaboration. I love when you do stuff like this. Having a project that brings the community together is really awesome and their willingness to join in and the fact that you spread it around to so many people kudos to you man.
Totally agree..Ourtstanding Collaboration!
Daddy chill
Great work! I really enjoyed your video. You have good vision and a practical approach to everything that is to be admired. Your team around you are also to be admired. I'm glad you had a win and got that dream car that you've always wanted.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I work for an OEM in the automotive industry. My one tip that will save you a lot of head aches in the future. Fuses. Blade fuses. Get brand name MTA fuses, and never use a noname transparent blade fuses ever again. There is so much specification, quality, resistance etc in fuses. So much more than I thought. Even the "plastic" itself has a ton of technical specification itself. Get MTA fuses and never look back. from small fuse fires, to just melted fuses etc etc. We had cheap fuses heat up to 180 deg C, desolder our fuse holders that we actually launched a full research project in our R&D department to solve the issue, and it was the fuses that we used.
Glad to see you back Sam, Hats off to everyone involved - You all made that look way too easy What a bargain it turned out to be ! Keep that content coming 👍
This is how someone makes a KZhead video in today's world. Start to finish, no delays, and price breakdown. Good job brother my life is to busy to wait.
Love the 360, 430, 458, 488... This kinda project is 100% up my alley. Starting a complete teardown on my 1995 Lexus SC400 this week. Ive always loved the shape of them, and there's NO way I'll ever sell it.
Really? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, truly
Hi Sam what a great poject. Wow the result is awesome. Looks like the fire never happend. You guys are very motivated and talented . Keep it like this . Nice greetings from Europe
Hi Sam, I’ve been watching you for a long time. I have to say I’m really proud of you on this one. Yes I agree with you. I would’ve totally done the same thing. You bought your dream car. at half the cost. You also learned a lot on the way. That alone is always a great thing. I’m a car fanatic as well, so maybe I’m not the voice of reason, but you’re lifetime dreams are something that you can’t put a price on. I also think that the rebuild BMW that you auctioned off for charity was a wonderful thing you did. It’s good that you have surrounded yourself with some great people who are there for you. I I hope you’re still married after that Lincoln snafu, but nothing ventured nothing gained. Again I would’ve done the same thing. I think you and I are cut from the same cloth! Regards from Tampa. Keep bringing the phenomenal content! Diane xo ❤
That was a really good video. Who does not enjoy a Ferrari restauration? With the specialists you put on the project even more so. And one episode with no cliffhangers! Perfect.
Great job! Awesome to see her brought back to life. A clean title car doesn’t go for $150k tho. This would be more like $120-$130k at most in the current market. Still a great deal for $70k!
Thanks for telling the price! He is such s sleezebag for not telling it right away. I would Still watch some of the video.
Nice video with a lot of Ferrari info. There are a lot of you-tube channels rebuilding salvage cars which are great for others doing similar jobs and fun to watch for those who love automobiles in general. I would like to see a newer salvaged GT3 or 911 Turbo S rebuild, they seem to be quite difficult to repair with everything so tightly packed.
Simply amazing to watch this rebuild. So many talented people on this planet. I am in awe of your skills and the final paint was incredible! Enjoy the car!
There is not a better way to finish the weekend than seeing two of my favorite KZheadrs Sam and VTuned. Thanks. 👍
Don't forget @ratarossa. That dude gets stuff done
Nice job. Hope it remains and you finish the little stuff on it. Nice to have all those resources to help. Lastly, I hope that exhaust sounds better in person that on the video, as it sounded terrible to me.
I really liked how the video was made. I appreciate how the knowledge provided wasn’t too much and too little it was perfect. I also liked if someone wanted to go in depth they could see it on other youtuber’s channel that were part of the video. Keep it up :)
Vtuned is just amazing man! So glad to see him in your videos!
subscribed. thanks for a good presentation of the whole progression of the restoration process.
Love to attempt this, y first build / rebuild was a 1962 Guilleitta Sprint which had rolled and had no engine or interior, and I was located in Zimbabwe at the time..
Wow all this done in one episode?!! What a treat! Great restoration video Sam! Now i have to go back and wait for Tavarish to finish his own!
Samcrac and finishing a project does not belong in the same sentence😂😂
I'm shocked because Ratarossa never finishes a project either. They must've cancelled each other out 😂
Awesome video. It's amazing how the build came together and was very satisfying to see the finished build in one video! 😍❤️🇿🇦
Nothing on KZhead can beat a bunch of exotic car men from all over the World getting TOGETHER to work on a project. It helps promote everyones channel, gets everyone well known, and we get fantastic videos to enjoy. Well done and thanks to all concerned. Greetings from the UK.
Yeah! You actually completed a build and it looks great! Rich would be SO proud! Great episode!
Sam very nice work and repair. I like watching these stories, always good. So, in regards to your question asking for opinions on a new title, I myself generally stay away from salvage titles which is what I believe your mentioning on collector cars for potential future sales. I know people that would buy a salvage vehicle for the right price. Childhood dream, I get it. Pull the trigger and made it happen. Nice work, I'll be tuned in for future vids.
Excellent video! Keep up the great work! What a great finish to the project.
Great work everyone, best vid in years. Now Sam please do all rebuilds like this one and finish them in 1 or 2 parts 👍🏻
This was such a satisfying watch, especially the new quarter panel being fitted. Great work by the whole team : )
It looks amazing. I can tell from the side shot it has been resprayed. The back is a touch darker than the front/original paint.
This was really interesting and seeing this F430 coming back to life was truly arousing. I wouldn’t have watched it if the chassis was damaged. I do not believe, especially on a super car that you should try to repair a damaged frame. That been said, I have subscribed to your channel ☻
Amazing job and a unique project from start ho finish in one episode. It seems that with the proper partners everything is possible. Thanks Sam and team.
That smoke at the end is gut wrenching. Let's hope its just some spilt fuel..
I saw more than just smoke. Definitely some charring.
Came here for this comment. Did nobody watch the end! What happened...on fire again!
@@liquidhalf Looks pretty bad. I think if I owned one of these I'd install an auto-fire extinguishing system.
I own a shop and digging into an exotic car like that with wiring problems takes some serious guts. Well done guys.
lovely work n lovely detailing, just one flaw i noticed, is the gap between the rear bumper n the rear quarter pannel at the very end of the video, it's not aligned, since the quarter panel was loose n the bumper was out you could've done some tests to ensure it will all fit n look like the other side. overall lovely quality n lovely work!
Wow, this was a satisfying rebuild to watch. A great auction score Ferrari and it went back together beautifully with that team. I love it!
What a tough week for Ferrari on KZhead.
Wow! Some very talented people did some fantastic work. Loved the video.
Need a follow up final video to see it fully detailed inside and out and engine bay cleaned up
Sam really enjoyed this build. After seeing your previous video on the fuel pump fire it was fairly clear what happened here. Thanks for another informative video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a team they make it looks so easy amazing work 👏👏
The first car you finished wow Iam proud you let do this with the rest of the cars Sam 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
February of this year 2023, The vehicle I have had for 27 years caught fire due to an electrical system failure. After emptying out two fire extinguishers and using a fire axe on the bonnet to get to the fire, the fire was extinguished, along the life of my favourite vehicle of my life. At first, I thought about retiring it to lawn art. But I just kept getting parts and deconstructing the burnt parts. By the end of the month, she was running again. By the middle of spring, she looked better than she had in years and ran smoother than new. Congratulations on your fire restoration.
Helluva crew. I wouldn't hesitate if I had that team on speed dial.
You and me both!
Very well build machine. Shows the craftsmanship put into it just by how it maintained the 🔥 fire
Except that it caused the fire. The operation was a success, but the patient died.
@johnelectric933 I'm referring to the fact that it contained the fire in that section. Most cars 🚗 would've been totally burned 🔥.
@@ulearnwithrobert9013 You mean they designed the car so it wouldn't completely be destroyed if it caught fire? Might have been better to design it NOT to catch fire in less than 10,000 miles.
@johnelectric933 I don't disagree with most of your points. Every car has a flaw, weak point, recall, or defect in most cases. To my point, what car with that kind of issue would keep the fire 🔥 in that area. I'll wait.
My boy had to hire a team but he finally finished a build 👏🏾
you can proof overheat aluminium parts/structur with resistance measurement, that authorized act in the aircraftmaintenance zu check if aircraft skin after lightning strike okay or the aluminium crystal structure weakened and repair required
What happened to the 599 that Vtuned helped you rebuild?
Wow there is a reason why your the best Sam you are just so positive and you give your viewers encouragement to go out and do it for themselves. I have been a long time fan and watch all your content and can all the hate Rich rebuilds give you is not warranted. But I know you and him just joke and banter around. This time you assembled a great team with v tuned. I think I speak for all your fan boys and girls we. Ant wait for your next project. Thanks for the great content.
Excellent video Sam. Beautiful restoration of your budget Ferrari. I hope 🤞 you have the means to be able to keep this classic car.
Are you kidding me, Woot a freaking Awesome Paintjob, WOW. Insane transformation, Great job Guys.
Awesome job, the paint looks great 🎉.

Wrong Channel, Tavarish has dibs on that one! LOL 😂
Hell yeah I'd do it...been looking for another salvage McLaren as a 'weekend homework' worth doing this to. You just gave me hope...great video brother, thanks for sharing!!
I'm so saturated on you tube that I rarely can sit and watch any videos completely. This video was fun and informative from beginning to end. Thanks!!
Great job! A kid named Cody Detweiler has another red Ferrari with recent combustion issues I am sure you could pick up cheap.
I am a Corvette guy but really enjoyed this "bring it back" process. Enjoy all your videos when car focused.
Being a specific car model/make guy is so pathetic.
Cool story
One of the best videos of the channel, I is really nice seeing that project completed!
Glad you like it!
That ain't whistlin diesel's 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice paraphrase of John Maynard Keynes.
Rivets and welds are only there to hold the panels in place whilst the adhesive cures. Factory adhesive require heat cure and are far stronger than panel bond so always to do belt and braces
So good to see the transatlantic cooperation here; KZhead really does seem to be creating a great community spirit amongst likeminded enthusiasts whichever side of the pond thet come from, good on you Tubers, and Brilliant content!
Great timing to drop this one lol
