Coming out flat is an old sports phrase that it's like the opposite of being in the zone. Physically you are prepared, but mentally something is just off and no matter what you do, shyt just won't go right. In basketball you miss easy shots that you normally make. In football you miss tackles or fumble the ball uncharacteristically. You can't explain it. Everything that can go wrong, does go wrong. Some people can battle their way out of it. At your job, you mess up on a project that you're normally competent in. Fumble your words at a presentation where you normally have no problem doing it. Shit like that.

  • I haven't heard Crouch's name in quite a few years. He won the Heisman in 2001, was drafted by the then St. Lois Rams, but as a receiver. He opted not to play as a receiver and retired from the NFL at 23 years old. It was a strange year for the Heisman, as Crouch only threw for just over 1,500 yards with 7 TDs and 10 INT. Grossman threw for almost 3,900 yards and 34 TDs and finished 2nd. Weird. I'm just watching this fight for the first time on Christmas Eve, 2023. Just got through the 3rd round, and the ref was incorrect to call that no knockdown. That was a 10 - 8 round for Kava. What happened toward the end of the 6th with the commentary? I don't remember watching a fight (especially this high level) where a minute went buy without a word being said by anyone ringside. Definitely a good sign how Crawford came back after getting knocked down for the first time.

  • People forgot Spence had been ducking Crawford for many years and not fought till he turned 36 years old. He past his prime but he still beat Spence easily Mean machine did much better than Spence even tho he fought prime Crawford

    • How did Spence avoid him? Spence captured 3 of the 4 world titles! Bud captured 1 vs a substitute school teacher & avoided every top contender for 6 years how do you think Spence got the belts & not Bud? Spence went & earned them Bud wanted a golden ticket to them just like he did at 140 he won the undisputed & left the division without defending same thing he is trying to do at 147

  • Crawford had him the entire fight. Dude did better then they expected with Crawford but wasn't doing any damage. Crawford felt him it in the first round. After the 2nd round Crawford was breaking him down. But was comfortable by the 4th.

  • It's amazing how these commentators act as if there's only one way to fight any boxer that can't use both hands is just a conventional fighter and that applies both ways lefty or righty. Crawford knows that and takes advantage of guys who can't boxs only fight from one position, like this guy.

  • My favorite fight of Crawfords career. This just like the Porter fight even tho he wasnt hurt vs Porter like he was in this fight you saw that mean junkyard dog come out of Crawford where he just doesnt give a shit about what you got he is coming foward and knocking you out

  • Tim Bradley hates for people to correct him he hates to be wrong. Crawford wasn’t getting caught on the way out with his hands down, yes he was pulling back with his hands down but he was getting caught in the exchanges coming in.
