Yeah, I love his skill and personality, I don't know how it's possible for someone to be so down to earth, funny, charismatic, a pioneer in their subject, amazing and dedicated to what he does and just ridiculously awesome at what he does. Jackie Chan is the best.

There's a theory that explains based on his origins (he's from Hong Kong, former brittish colony, in which, the people spoke English alongside Cantonese, nowdays as well). The theory is aldo based on the experience of Pat Morita (American with Japanese ascendence) he spoke English with American accent, he trained for the karate kid movie saga in order to speak with Japanese accent. In the case the JC, the theory says that he speaks perfectly English, another aspect is that he loves making people laugh so (according to the forementioned theory) he does it in purpose.
But according to him, he didn't know much about the language in the past, and he most of the time he's in Asia, and he mostly speaks in Mandarin and Cantonese, so he's pronunciation, maybe, is due to lack of practice.

Brilliant interview!! For anyone here interested in Jackie's best work, both creatively and physically, watch all his Hong Kong films from the early 80s til the mid 90s. They are martial arts entertainment at it's highest and purest form. It's a shame that most of his Hollywood films were completely crap! He was heavily type-casted to dumb roles and wasn't given the creative control that made him an international movie star before Hollywood. I could go on and on but, all in all Jackie's one of a kind and it's been a delight watching him master and reinvent his craft. Congrats Jackie!!
