Throwback for the name of the black cat... since it came from the witches hut, it's fitting if you named it Salem, like the wise cracking cat from Sabrina the Teenage Witch years ago.
I was about to make the same recommendation. Seems a fitting name given the circumstance.

Name the cat Frank. Then, casually drop activities you do with Frank in conversation with hermits and never tell them who Frank is.

I had a moment of amusement where I remarked to myself how competent your redstone explanations seemed. I realize I've started to lose track of which hermits are redstoners and which are builders - nobody stays in their lane anymore, and the results are always fantastic.
The builders seem to be getting better at redstoners and the redstoners are getting better at building
A lot of people are building their own farms and becoming self-sufficient for some items, and not spending diamonds in the Shopping district. Maybe you could think of trophies for hermits who spend certain amount of diamonds in the shopping district, similar to the ones the shop owners get, only with different amounts for the buyers. This could incentivize Hermits to buy, and activate the economy. Maybe the diamond amounts could be higher for buyers, and the trophies could be free. Maybe get the shop owners could agree to some discounts to big spenders, the same way some point cards work in retail establishments.

The interactions between Hermits is so fun to see, they really are the sort of people you want & need in your life, shown by Xisuma & Jevin both being like, oh well I assumed it was YOUR land not mine, cheerio, both just thinking of each other the entire time :D
If i remember right you use all the variated textures from vanilla tweaks. The variated planks include bamboo planks.

I will shamefully admit I only ever have time to watch Hermitcraft episodes (barely, as I do try to get all hermits), so I really enjoy being able to listen to your music on your episodes. On that note though, I really liked your last snapshot video. I was blown away (pun not intended) by the mace. My gosh, what an amazing new tool.
the problem with dirt turning into path blocks when right clicking with shovel can be solved by putting a full block above it. That prevents path blocks from forming.

If you still want a Netherite Fortune pick, maybe you could add diamond blue bits to the tips of the pickaxe for better distinguishing
hey x! you can increase the rates on your farm by building out 5 blocks in each direction (using slabs) from the top spawning layer outside the farm to increase the amount of pack spawning you farm utilizes. also, replacing the walls of your farm with non-full blocks (stairs, for example) at the layer one above each spawning platform (or all the layers of the wall if you like) will increase the amount of pack spawning. hope this helps!
The pack spawns would help a lot with this design, since he chose to build over the top of the spawn area. That decision cut his spawn chances by about half, depending on the breadth of the top platforms compared to the spawning platforms. Widening the net for pack spawns will get more "spawnable" spaces with lower height maps. (Although he will benefit less due to the slimestone being full blocks at floor height, so the stairs have less impact due to other blockers. And the slimestone engines are already occupying most of the five meter net, so not much more to gain there either. Pros and Cons. His farm can be improved, but other choices have already placed other limits.)

My black cat, creatively named Blackie, died a few years ago (summer of 2021). It'd be cool if she was immortalized on Hermitcraft. She used to curl up in my lap while I watch youtube on the couch, Hermitcraft included. X probably won't see this comment in time though.

i recently found out something with the freecam mod. there is a setting that allows you to place blocks during the free cam mode. of course it doesn’t allow you to build outside your normal radius, but it does allow for reaching certain areas such as behind walls and under blocks your on top of. it really is quite useful for building

I know what you mean about wanting to distinguish between your fortune and silky picks! It's for this very reason that I left my silk touch pick as diamond which is very obviously different from the netherite fortune one. Worth considering, though you do lose the netherite bonus. Maybe the opposite way around would work better TBH, but switching now would be a pain for me as I am so used to blue = silk touch.
might I suggest 'Salem' (after Sabrina the Teenage Witch's cat). 😉

You could name the black cat Cosmic Creepers. It's a reference to a '70s Disney film called Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
At around 12:35, when you were talking about distinguishing between silk touch and fortune, i just leave my fortune pick diamond. The durability increase does matter due to many ores dropping xp repairing the pick. Edit: I paused the video to type this, and right after i start it back up X says something similar.
A good way to distinguish fortune vs silk touch picks would be mirror image the fortune pick. In my experience it's used so rarely that the really weird look of a backwards pick wouldn't be seen often, and when it is it would be very obvious. As someone who never bothers with netherite, a vanilla tweaks pack to swap fortune picks is something I would use.
Personally I'd go with wrapping the pick head, with the wrap coloring being dependant on which enchant it is. If that ends up being to complicated to implement though, mirroring the pick would be simple but effective.

One idea for differentiating your silk and fortune picks would be to add extra heads to the fortune one. So it’ll be like there’s more parts of it breaking the stone

For the wheat farm I believe you have to first fill their inventory with five stacks of seeds or else they will make bread.
A potential solve for your pickaxe problem, maybe placing a few emerald pixels at the end of the pick blade, to indicate fortune, ofc, may be non-intrusive enough?

Since you are using the Fortune Pick only for ores, you could totally also use a golden pick with mending!
19:19 Xisuma- "Netherite is OP" The context- ("Fighting" some of the weakest mobs in the entire game.) Pillagers deal pathetic damage, they aren't a threat unless you've either got trash tier armor or you're fighting 30 of them completely solo and let them surround you. Whether you have Netherite or Iron Armor it isn't going to make a major difference when fighting 5 of them with their absurdly low DPS on account of their long charge up and low damage output when they do attack.
A black witch cat HAS to be named Salem, of course.

in regards to the Tool Texture, i allways thoght That the new armor trim and color Thing would be a cool way to "enchant" the tool or armor, so it would be easy to tell from the looks what the tool is for like in Thinkers Construct with the tool Changes when applying a Modifyer like "mossy"
