Did you know, you can find swamp villagers naturally if a desert village spawns into a swamp biome.
Something I'd love to see in vanilla tweaks is a "more obvious powder snow" option similar to the suspicious blocks and ore outlines
I’d love to have something like this, but maybe with an option of an more fitting texture? Cause I personally don’t like the suspicious sand texture too much, it kinda pulls me out of the Minecraft experience if you know what I mean. But that’s an idea based on a personal preference so do with that what you want, the great thing with vanilla tweaks is that you can choose freely what YOU want :)
theres another optional texture on the website for sus sand, you don‘t need the among us ones

I think it would make sense if the snow got more shadows and dark areas, while the powdered snow, got the opposite, because it's softer.

Savannas are usually so so ugly, I usually despise the grass so much, but that golden grass actually makes the savanna very appealing to me! I'll so be adding that to my vanilla tweaks!
This is such a clever tweak. Incredibly simple, yet turns an ugly biome into a beautiful one
i love savanna grass, its my favorite biome to build in
I agree, savanna was my least favourite biome too but I couldn't really explain why exactly, but now I realise it was the grass mostly and honestly with a tweak it looks so fitting!

I've been using vanilla tweaks for so long now that I've frankly come to forget some of its features aren't in vanilla! Terrific work as usual! Love these additions
Same here, and that's what I love about it : it's never felt intrusive. If any particular feature is too much, I can just take it off and enjoy the rest of the pack
Honestly, it feels so weird to me to see the default textures for the dyes that aren't unique

do you think it’d be possible to have a “randomized” version of villager skin types (including wandering traders)? i think it’d be really fun to see a bit of diversity within each village lol
Possible with Optifine or other mob variation mods, not possible with just a vanilla resource pack.
@@LunizIsGlaceyYup, but there’s a pack for zombies too, only that it states you need OptiFine for it. They’ve done it before, I’d love if they did it again.
I made a pharaoh themed armor and my biggest complaint with the rib armor trim was how dim it was with the gold trim. That’s awesome y’all fixed that

I seriously hope that we get a full drooping carpet pack. And I would love a 'drooping' pressure plates pack where pressure plates have a little bit hanging off blocks, I think it would be lovely for café tables.
I can imagine that it should be quite easy to just take the one from the moss carpet and just retexture it for every other carpet in the game. It would maybe take a bit of time but not much and it would be a good place to start experimenting with creating your own resource packs.

Yeah, tho obviously with more of a regular “tassle-y” texture for the drooping parts of a wool carpet instead of the naturalistic one moss has.
Hi Xisuma! As someone with a sight disability (I'm legally blind) I am so appreciative of the various tweaks you and your team have made many of the harder to see items ingame (such as the bright borders for both suspicious sand/gravel and for ores). Thank you for sharing this with us, and making it easier for folks to enjoy the game. I do wish though there was something that could help differentiate between regular snow and powdered snow, or help show the ancient debris a little easier. Mining in the nether is rather hard when everything is pretty much all the same bright colour (at least to my poor eyes lol) in all it's biomes.
There are some resource packs where ancient debris is bright blue, that might help?

@@krynne im not sure if its in vannilla tweaks but there is definitely a pack that allows it to be whatever color u need for it, same with ores (diamonds turning fully blue ect). i dont know the packs name but theres defineitely a pack that include anceint debris being easier to see, hope this helped!
@@williambolton7083 I did look through the mods sites and found the one that changes the debris into various other colours. This is definitely a big help for my poor eyes! I did not know there was one for other ores as well... I'll be looking into that one for sure as well. Much appreciated, thank you :)

Xisuma has added villager ethnicity to minecraft 😆 Love it. Definitely makes it less uniform.

Some of these QOL tweaks are genuinely so good, I love the crop growth indicators. Unironically, the suspicious sand amogus is very useful too...
The technical changes here is going to cause MANY mods to take awhile to update
The villager skins depending on the biom temperature is so smart. Love it
2:05 Ive been using this pack for a while and the moss carpets with overhangs make a really cool effect when put on trapdoors
Something that I think would be an interesting addition to vanilla tweaks would be to add ways to farm some blocks like sand and spore blossoms. Something like having sand as a rare drop from Husks and the spore blossom having a chance to appear at the bottom of a moss block if it is bonemealed and there is an air block below.
Yeah that makes sense, especially husks having a chance to drop sand, it just makes sense
Been using Vanilla Tweaks for my 1.19.2 modded survival world (Create, Farmer’s Delight, Aquaculture 2, Iron’s Spells, etc.) and I gotta say: When you put all the variations textures together, along with the tweaks to crafting certain blocks, they really make the world feel just a bit more natural and alive. Well done and thanks Xisuma!
Love this! A couple of these I already had from 1.20 in general but had to go right away to add the moss carpet, the fences, and the decorated pot fix to my pack!

The NBT changes will be absolutely devastating for datapacks. Some might get updated, like VanillaTweaks, but a lot of the old ones wouldn't, probably ever, which would break them forever, even though they are still functional so far, years after.

Just wanna send some love for you and the Vanilla Tweaks team, these small tweaks take my experience with Minecraft from 90% to that perfect 100%!
I've been using the moss carpet overhang texture for a while now and I absolutely adore it. Especially when its used to slightly drape over some containers (barrels, hives, etc)

Can you add old bat texture and old vex texture? Also add anti wither grief too. Also can you fix the More Mobs Head, Wandering Trader and Wandering Trader [Hermit Editition] datapacks? Because they sometimes flashes back and forth from the original Player Heads texture to the datapacks' textures and vice versa.
This is a Minecraft issue, the data for the player heads is stored in the block data

I'd love an option to the diverse villagers where you can set it to spawn different skin tones in one village if you want, so that way if you don't like the idea of it being based on biome or just want diversity in villagers without having to travel.
yeah, I'm not a big fan of having them all be the same skin tone if they are from the same village.

Love the change to the moss carpet, the change to the grass in the savannah biome, the change to fences /gates, brighter trim. I'm a builder at heart. The one thing I've often wished for (besides glass stair/slab options) is for a recipe to make doors/ trapdoors with a glass window as well as the original version. Because there are times I'm building where I want both looks incorporated into the one build. Maybe one day either developers or the Vanilla Tweaks team will fulfil my wish. Until then, I will make do.

Glad that Vanilla Tweaks continue to still be worked on, I look forward to seeing what comes next. Just a thought I have, but for 1.21, would it be possible for data packs to have a scoreboard that will appear when in Trial Chambers that can track kills? Perhaps it could be used for players to decide how they can split loot, anything that doesn't come from vaults.

I’m already using some of the new vanilla tweaks and I absolutely love the moss carpet one!! I also use the variates villagers, golden Savannah, and the accurate scaffolding

Those smooth/stripped fences look really nice. Now we need raw/bark fences. The different skin tones on villagers is something I never even thought of, but it makes total sense!

2:26 This bamboo is supposed to be the dried kind the new wood type is, and the string is like a lead.
as always the best additions and being able to choose your own combination is awesome some mob heads look a little weird though

there's no repercussions for users who would ever complain about the skin tones being tied to certain temperatures, it's just a texture pack and loosely based on areas irl. i doubt anyone that'd complain actually gives two damns that it's included on the website

I feel like the default scaffolding texture does reflect that it’s made of bamboo, it’s just dried out. Ur prolly not gonna be making scaffolding out of fresh live bamboo. Cool that you made it an option tho.
Yeah, I feel the same lol! But hey, that's the beauty of VT - we can pick out what we want and disregard the options that we don't want or are maybe a bit silly :P
Yup, Mojang did it right. Since nobody uses fresh bamboo for construction, they are really heavy when they are not fully dried out (which turns them yellow).

Inverted Phantoms was a change I made that made the game much more fun, phantoms only spawn when you sleep in multiple nights in a row, and it is +1 phantom per night, so sleeping 5 nights in a row will force you to fight 4 phantoms before going to sleep, and now instead of removing incentive to play at night they reinforce playing at night
I can’t see myself playing without VanillaTweaks. Such an incredible project that benefits the community as a whole :)
Would love to see the hanging signs move a little in the wind, like the wind&water features.
I'd love to see a data pack that reverts the Villager curing system, I built this whole machine to cure Villagers multiple times and it's no longer possible to drop trades further 😑 😢
So annoying when Mojang do that! It's really pointless when they nerfed zombie villagers curing!

btw if you update more mob heads to get the mobs sounds on noteblocks, all of your old heads wont play sounds, just sharing cause i was confused if it was working or not for a bit.

I was already discouraged to keep my personal datapacks maintained with all the 1.20.5 changes, can't imagine the work required to update all the vanilla tweaks packs 😢
The variated villagers are very cool and surprisingly well implemented lol. The biome temp is pretty genius. That Savannah also looks awesome! Would like to see the leaves match a little more though. :D

One addition to vanilla tweaks I would love would be compatibility with the Fresh animations resource pack. Several of the options don't work right with FA, like the different zombie variants and the emeralds to rubies option.

Every biome, really? I don't know. Don't they all look more or less fine? Meadow looks so good for example. Savanna was the only one everyone disliked and that really needed to be fixed. I don't know what were they thinking when they chose dull yellow-green for grass. Savannas naturally invokes the image of golden grass for many. It was a very weird design choice.
