Wels was making a point (in a comedic way) that even their generation has progressed from their parent's or grandparent's. Everyone was right. The shorter attention span of today's generation is just an unfortunate consequence of that progress. There's too much stimuli that our parents and grandparents didn't have to deal with.

Im an AMC stubs member, so I go relatively regularly, and EVERY TIME I am in a theater someone is always on their phone full brightness. I got assaulted when I went to see Spiderverse bc I asked a guy a few times politely to get off his phone during the movie etc. Also went to see Oppenheimer w my parents and this dude during the bomb scene had his phone full brightness checking his email. • 🏆 Xisuma 🏆 💡 Idea for leaderboard room 💡 ON the wall behind the hermits heads you should have different colored horizontal stripes for each Trophy benchmark that gets reached. for example when a hermit gets to the 1000 diamond sales they reach a specific colored stripe on the wall via the snow piles …. that way when the snow climbs up the wall you can tell exactly who has what trophies unlocked. (I personally think this would make it a lot easier on you, with the added value of giving the hermits a better visual aid rather than just the snow piles . this will also incentivize the hermits by being able to see exactly who has what trophy….) your basically making a line graph on the wall with the horizontal colored lines this way you won’t have to keep moving the heads each time a new person moves up/down 💡 Another idea 💡 for this theme would be to put the corresponding greyscale trophy on the left and right side of the wall on its corresponding colored horizontal line . you can have a greyed out model of the trophy, until a hermit reaches the benchmark then the trophy gets colored in. I apologize for the rant but i have so many amazing ideas for this room, you truly have woken up my creativity with this whole trophy sales thing it’s awesome dude keep up with the amazing content and thanks for taking the time to read.

    • it's fine to complain about a bad experience you had at the theater (especially because the theater specifically tells you to silence your phone before the film starts), but to extrapolate that out and criticize an entire age demographic is extremely lame. i don't want to hear an unironic "kids these days" bit from a damn minecraft youtuber lmao

      @chastermief839@chastermief839Ай бұрын
    • @@chastermief839compare it to when phones never existed and you’ll see it IS a newer generation issue, BECAUSE ITS NEW GEN TECH CAUSING IT! It’s not that young people don’t exist who can focus through a movie, it’s that there’s MORE in the younger generations who can’t COMPARED to the older ones. Cellphones are a tool, more gen Z out it any generation uses it more then a tool religiously….. and this is the important part…. COMPARED to other generations.

  • 3:43 in my college psych classes this is one of the things i talk with my teachers about. the average attention span of a human has continued to decrease to an average of 40 seconds of concentration. our brains (especially young teens and such) have been wired around the electronic devices and the dopamine and euphoria our brains process seem to be much more potent with social media compared to other forms.

  • 13:40 looking at the hourglass from this perspective... It might need googly eyeballs. +1 for diamond block currency. To then be supplanted with shulkers of sand. I like the leader board, though it may become a labor of love with little hermit attention, you might want to setup something where players have to pass by the leader board to get to some function of that shop, after the first encounter currently hermits are encouraged to use the mail system and would not see the leaderboard. Something to draw them in? Like a highrollers club where deals are done for multiple double chests full of shulkers of items, rare items, unique items in a silent auction?

  • For the leader board: Using the mod you should be able to lock the armor stands gravity and move it up by 1/2 block each time you need to adjust it... then use a piston to push a new block up from the bottom.
