The first week of the 2024 season is in the books. Students get taught some forging basics and start getting under horses. It is getting real for many of them that they are here and becoming Heartlanders. Not easy for anyone, but nothing worth having comes easy. #heartlanders #farrier #horseshoe #farrierschool

  • Your video's used to be so good and so full of knowledge why did you change it ? I've shod horses for 50 years I still want to learn...

    • 50 years is amazing! This is just footage from the earliest days of the new class, my friend. If you listen to Mr. Gregory's podcast and his interviews with other farriers he says himself that he always wants to learn new things. One of the best ways to learn is to hear the perspectives and experiences of other people. One of the greatest things about this trade is that you can always improve on the things you "already know". In my personal experience, if I feel like I've plateaued and stopped learning, going back and touching up on things I thought I had perfected ends up teaching me something new. I'm sure there will be plenty more to learn as this class tackles bigger things, but in the meantime there is still many older videos on this channel that really make you wonder how deeply you understand the concepts. Although I'm sure with your years of experience you know quite a lot and it's very admirable how you want to keep learning more. That in itself is the difference between a good farrier and a great farrier: the desire to know more. I wish you the best and hope something fresh and exciting finds you soon. 😊
