We had a popular short about trimming a Crazy Kicking Horse, but it was only a small section of what happens. • How to Handle a Crazy ...
I thought that someone out there might like seeing the process through completion. Here is one way to do a young horse that needs the feet worked on. Application of common sense and horsemanship required. #farrier #heartlanders #horseshoe #satisfying #horse #school
Wonderful demonstration of patience!
Many thanks Chirs. Video prof of excellent horsemanship.
Absolutely awesome horse handling!👍👍👍👍
We call him bossman for a reason. Hope your doing well, boss!!
Great stuff, this is awesome. Thank you Chris
Well done sir.
Bossman you a tough ol,country boy.
Awesome job
Awesome work. You are a true professional and steward of the animals you work with.
awesome!
You got some good jobs. How about show some real horsemanship. Turn that colt lose and when you can trim without them being tied then you set it up for life. If I can lay a hand on a mustang it will quickly let me handle feet. Don't have to be broke to lead or ever had a halter on yet
There is no reason for this. We are farriers, not horse trainers. If a horse acts like that. Walk away if you would like to continue your career. This job is dangerous enough without doing the owners / trainers' job . We have all been in this situation, and we should have walked away, not encouraged this. I strongly disagree with trimming/ shoing these kind of horses.
So off to the glue factory because this young horse is a little difficult? How would you suggest it be trained out without exposing the horse to this and allowing it to get comfortable? Should we beat the behaviour out of it?
You’d be the same person bitching about how an owner didn’t call someone to change the shoes early enough and would be howling about how neglectful the owner is.
Spoken like a person who can’t do it.
Nah!!!!
Nope!!
Dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. If they are pulling back and kicking they don’t need to be trimmed. He isn’t dumb by the way the owner is
