This Aftermarket air intake system was a breeze to install! It improved the sound of the vehicle, the look of the engine bay, and the performance of the car. Definitely a ten out of ten easiest beginner mod!

Awesome job! I learned a lot about cars that I had no clue about before. And nice editing skills. :)
Ah SICK! Glad it was so informative!!! Tysm!!!😊🤙

Hahaha! Thanks man! Gotta do whatcha gotta do! 🤣👍
Lmao
BEST VIDEO YET
Thank you so much bro!✌
I bought a 2000 chevy s10 with 2.2 and it had a cold air intake. It was messing up the shifting in the automatic transmission. On a slight downgrade it would downshift. The fancy air filter fell apart and that was the original reason putting the stock ductwork back in. That problem went away and I was pleased. I did not know that this would fix it.
Woah! Never heard of that type thing! It changing the shifts is so odd fr. Glad it got worked out though! Whoulda' thought!
Wohw an OPEN HOOD run.... that would be another 100HP. Cool to put that on the streets!
🤣Haha! Yess! That extra HP is what we were expecting!! Oh well!🙃✌
Generally, the filter element is much smaller - not as robust - in the after-market cold air systems, so unless you spend more time / money on this maintenance you will shorten engine life especially if you drive more often on dusty roads. As you said at the end, mostly a cool factor not performance or beneficial to engine longevity.
Haha, yes. Thankfully we're in a pretty clear area so dust isn't a much of a problem for us. But that makes sense what you said. Definitely planning on continuing good maintenance for sure!
👌
That's the way to do it
We trying!🙃👌
Your not making enough power for the intake to be a restriction in the first place, that’s why it’s not making power it never had that power to begin with
Yes true! That's what we eventually found out as well!👌
Does the cold air intake give me an 80% higher chance of getting a woman?
Its probably a safe bet chance that it does! Haha! Lemme know how it goes!🤣👌
Only if they identify as a blow off valve.
Was this just a dyno run? Or did he go to tune it aswell? I love how based your video is though. Slight lose in power? Fuck it, its cool just do it.
Haha! Thanks! Nah, this shop doesn't have the software to tune on a stock GM ecu. We'd have to get new stand alone for them to reprogram. 🙃👍
Idk how y’all only have 169 subscribers. This shit was funny and informative. 🍻♠️
@@Burgher1605 Haha! Thanks! We're trying. Someday we'll be an overnight sensation!🤣🤙
cold air intake on turbo'd car should get gains
Yes! That's for sure! The man at the dyno shop was explaining that because we don't have supporting modifications, like you mentioned, its hard to actually harness the benefits of the increased air. Definitely hoping to do a turbo some day tho!
Make 15 holes with 10 mm dianetar in standard airbox delete rezonator this mode is much better than this
Woah! That's actually such a SICK hack! Hadn't heard that approach before bu it definitely makes sense!
Try this and put on dyno and youtube you be suprise
Off course houles must be on dirty side down off air filter greetings from Split Croatia
You didn't install a cold-air intake, you bot. You REMOVED the cold-air intake that comes stock in your car, which pulls COLD AIR from the fender well (hence, being called "cold-air"), and replaced it with a HOT AIR intake, which pulls HOT AIR from your engine bay. And then tested it with the hood open, which is unrealistic perfect conditions, and it still sucked more balls than air :D
Lol! We're so dumb!😆
You will actually have far more (negative) -HP when driving around with the hood down due to the heat of the engine bay thus reducing air density. To dyno one short pull with the hood up really means nothing compared to real world driving, hood closed, air in through the grill, heat trapped within the engine bay, and that open air intake trying to suck in the far less dense air than the ambient air outside.
Yes, that's some of what we've been considering as well. Its our first time working with an aftermarket intake. We had noticed other configurations on other vehicles were isolated much better regarding heat shielding and distance from the engine itself. Not a ton of aftermarket supply options with this particular automobile. Might have to do some further fabrications with it ourselves down the road. Thank you very much for your comment and contribution!👍
But airfilter make engine go BRRRRROOAAAAHHHH
@@nielsoudegriep2900 😂Facts!!👍
@@_stancebrothers i got a little 1.3 and its getting a KN intake soon, idk about the performance gain since its slow af and not getting fast anyways, but it'll sound cool🤝🏼🤣
@@nielsoudegriep2900 oh 100%!! That little THWAAAHHH every time you hit the petal is soooo satisfying fr!!😁😁😁😁

🤣
You forgot to mention you now have 80% less money in your wallet. Without a tune, CAIs won't do anything but add intake noise.
Lol! Facts!🤣 #carguymath said it was still worth it tho!🤣
@@_stancebrothersholy shit true lmao. I’m debating either a badass K&N CAI or a short shifter kit that will be mega amazing for my next mod.
