Hey 👋 I have a new update video on resin tips with all the new knowledge I have learnt since making this video. kzhead.info/sun/gZtmm5xuf3qHl4k/bejne.html
Question, what is the part a and b ratio?
Why do you need music playing in a tutorial, it's so annoying
To see a stunningly beautiful looking woman doing a tutorial on a subject without showing T&A and you actually know what you're talking about! Keep up the great videos 👍👍👍
Exactly ...the music is louder than her voice and so annoying
I have no idea what you just made.
Wear protective gear! I cannot stress this enough, I've seen multiple youtubers and fellow resin artists develop respiratory illnesses because they didn't wear respirator. You need protective glasses as well, the fumes can hurt your eyes. Epoxy resin doesn't have a scent so a lot of people dont take this seriously and get hurt. Be safe and resin your little heart out.
up for this pls. Ive seen videos too. Thats why i hesitate to do this because of the cases i have seen and hear! spread awareness!
I was thinking about doing resin stuff but now that i know that i have to buy whatever that is I'm not gonna attempt it why is everything so complicated i just wanna do something fun for once
Hell yeah I do it in the shed heavily ventilated with a respirator.
@@oyasumioooyasumicloseyoureyes I mean it's a mask that you can buy in any ace hardware. It just filters out the fumes
Well not all of us has a gas mask laying around so a mask will have to do
I recommend not using a lot of plastic that you just throw away. Cups holding a canvas might get dirty but just let it dry and reuse them. Plastic covering work surfaces can also be used many times. Save your money, and help reduce harmful plastic in the environment while creating beautiful art.
Else F I do reused my cups as the resin once it's drys just peels off. The resin also peels off the baking paper too. 😊
Great idea. To be more mindful of this!!!! It's so easy to just toss stuff in the trash when we don't want to wash things out... like paint. I need to be more mindful myself so thanks for mentioning it!
someone said it thank you! It's stupid to throw away just because it has colours on it, better to just recycle on your own than throwing it away and it never really getting recycled.
Lynn Moore Sheri reused everything over and over she said that before she never used anything plastic just once
@@MileyonDisney haha sheri always reuses even in her face to face classes
THANK YOU!!! FINALLY SOMEONE WHO TRULY HAVE STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS WITHOUT BABBLING LOL

The music was too loud and distracting :(
Yeah I really couldn't hear her
Yeah I agree but just put captions on
🤣🤣
I got really nervous when you started mixing without any protective gear and obvious ventilation procedures. But calmer when I noticed everyone in the comments letting you know! I hope all will be well, thank you for the vid!
you're a great teacher - you cover all aspects in a quick and interesting way - i learned to so much and have saved this in my favorite vids to look up in the future.
What a terrific tutorial for those of us who are just scratching the surface. Brief, friendly and gems of information. Love to see more of your thoughts and tips. You've already saved me hours of frustration. Thank you.
Thank you for the nice video! I really recommend to wear gloves (you never know exactly if there will fall any drops on your skin) and respirator when working with resin. Even if it doesn´t smell that bad it can give off toxic fumes.
Can you send me the scientific evidence proving resin gives off toxic fumes?
Exactly! Just because you cannot smell it, it doesn’t mean it isn’t harmful. All it means is that you cant smell the fumes slowly killing you. Resin should always be handled with gloves and in a ventilated area, so if you dont have a respirator, go outside instead. Many people are not aware of this!
Michael Burry, I assure you you can find a lot of information on your own. It’s a real threat so there’s a lot you can easily find on the web. Including scientific data. If you dont believe that then resin art is NOT for you.

This was great thank you. Would love another video including tips and tricks. Keep the coming ! Cheers, DEB T
This was so simple, easy to understand and well put together. Thanks a lot for it!
that piece was gorgeous at the end. I really want to try this after watching your first video.
SamuelJ thank you :) I'm doing a piece like this for a client. So I used a small board to make sure they like the colours before doing the full size board.
thank you for directions that weren't over simplified. Loved the outcome.
I'm just starting out. Fantastic beginners video!! I can't wait to see more tips and tricks especially using resin :-) but I've also used many of the other mediums you put up so far ( such as gold leaf!) thank you, and beautiful work!
geckomom74 thank you for watching

SJD99 thank you for watching 😊

Awesome video really helpful I love watching other peoples work and ideas colours are gorgeous thank you for sharing. I turned the treble down on my amp .......cos I am master of my own destiny!! Your music choice was fine.
Would love to see a video with different types of pouring and the effect different pigments have :)

I found this really useful, helpful, clear and concise - thank you. One question though - Why did you use casting resin on an artwork?
Hi there. Thank you for this useful, clear and simple video. I just want to know if the board must be primed before hand?
Fantastic. Thankyou Sheri. Would love a techniques video!
Thank you so much for sharing this!!
I really appreciate the time you took to make this video knowing there's a lot to do when you edit a video. Thank you for sharing these tips but it would be cool if we could get more details on the measurement for example or how you got the result at the end of the video. Thanks again and have a good day!

Very well explained, thank you for sharing, but your music is very distracting.

Love your videos, more tips and tricks please
I love your video's, Keep up the great work, I also love to teach beginners how to paint & I can learn a lot from u to pass on to my students..
I know shes an artist and her work speaks for itself, but this is a beginners video and those of us who are trying to learn something cant hear her due to the loud music. It has something to do with the recording, I am sure she did not intend it to come out that way. Great work!!
Thanks for the feedback I will take it onboard
I liked this as I am new to this method. How do you measure the paint to resin ratio please and where did you get your resin from. Thank you. Nanoya
Love this!!! Thank you!
Very helpful. Im finally not scared to try this!! Thankyou
love these colours!
Beautiful video! Well done and thankyou for the clear & concise steps. 🌞
LightHealsU thank you for watching. Make sure you checkout my other tutorials as I have some great tips in them too.
Thank you for this video! Do you use the blow torch for the top layers as well as the bottom? Can you explain a little more about how/when/why to use it? Thanks & looking forward to other tutorials.
Christine Kite I use the touch when I see bubbles in the resin. Use can you use it throw out making the art work.
Is a heat gun sufficient
Perfect video! THANK YOU!
What resin should I buy
Love it, thank you for sharing!!
Exactly what is that board you are pouring on. That really will look great
Love that table!

Thank you for beginner tutorial. Can you please list the items you have in this video? Which 2 resins did you mix in the measuring cup at the beginning
I really appreciate this video, you have answered all my questions. The music didn’t distract me at all,and I am very distractible. Thank you so much for sharing this information!
I am really so happy the best art Resin and always looking so thanks.
Very nice. Thanks!! I think i now what i did wrong. I used to much acrylic paint. Because the mix was in a couple minutes already stif, it wasn't fluid any more. I gues when you use acrylic, you also use a drop, and not a full (dinner) spoon.
Yes, a little goes a very long way. I'm so happy this video helped you. :)
Hi Sheri, curious - I’m looking to replicate dripping honey on a board. I think resin may be a good way of making it look like the real thing, based on this. Would you agree or is there anything that I may be missing? Cheers!
Excellent video thanks for sharing your talent
I do like the end result. Looks neat.
Nicely made .... thank you What colours are they acrylic ? Or glass colour?
Great video! I would love to see more :) How do you know how much resin to put in the measuring jug? what are the measurements?
Abbey Cooper I've kind of just found out over time. I use mostly 3 different sizes boards so now I know how much for each board. I always make sure that I have more than enough before I start my pour.
I think the ArtResin website has a calculator
sheri vegas do you know any other way to get cells with out using the Resi-Blast???
put some 91% alcohol into a cup and take a mixing stick or whatever is convenient ( I use the my fingers ) and drip it onto the pour lightly....works pretty well.
Love your work . Tell me where do you get your resin solid cast brand ?
Thanks for sharing..really helpful
Thanks for the video! If you don’t mind me saying, maybe you could look into some reusable items instead the cups, knives, sheets and boards you used? Each step goes a long way and a step from you can lead a lot of us newbies to not generating a lot of unnecessary plastic refuse. Thanks again!
Can you use the resin to cover an acrylic pouring? Would the colours be kept if expossed outdoors? Example, a table top? Thank you
Great video, does it make a difference what type of paint you use for a primer?
Great straight forward and concise video.
What is resin? Is it a fiber glass?
Sheri, I have watched your videos & love your beautiful art works. I have tried & getting to understand acrylic pour & swipe technique and I would like to venture into resin art. There is very little information on how to mix resin colour using acrylic paint. As I live in Hong Kong there is no access to resin pigments like in Australia or the US , hence I am more or less stuck with acrylic paint for colouring. Other source says acrylic being a water based product which does not mix well with resin. I will however try using make up podwer for glittering effect. Please be so kind to advise on mixing acrylic of acrylic paint for resin art!
thanks so much nice work i learnt a lot and wish see more about making decoupage with resin
Sorry, where can I find, buy resin? I’m a beginner ☺️
Sheri, thanks for posting your video. I have done a painting on a coffee table in acrylic paint. I was hoping to put an epoxy clear coat over the top of it. Have you done this type of thing before. Picture first let it dry then poured the epoxy over the top. If so do you have a brand of epoxy to recommend for this type of thing. My concern is the epoxy will soften the paint and when i trowel the excess it will smear or streak the painting? Any advice? Thank you, Mick
Thanks for sharing your tips I really adore doing that I want to try to have a small business jewelry made resin..where did you buy your ingredients?
Hey! Thanks for the tutorial. Can you do a video on how to add something to the back to hang it up on the wall?

This is fabulous loved it 💕
Such beautiful work could you perhaps show us how to make a geode table?
I enjoyed your video. What bothered me was when you were pouring the resin(s) - I couldn't see them because of the black board you used! Do you have another similar beginners video where your background board is white/lighter?
I am not skipping ads and subscribing to this so that you can provide more good content :)
So helpful! Would love to see the different pour techniques. Have been wanting to do resin countertops but not sure how they would wear. Any ideas?
@renemccullough I would imagine if you use a good sealant in to and don't use cutlery on it, or let it get stained that it would be fine... but im not a professional and I'm not sure if good prep would be advisable on that kind of surface.
Good info,thanks I subscribed!
Hi, lovely easy video. Are these acrylic artists inks?. One thing I have discovered..dont do resin on a damp humid day! be patient, don't tip it after a couple of hours to see if it is dry. :) I did that cos I couldn't help myself first time I tried.
Linda Baker yes definitely don't move the board after a few hours. Most resin need at lest over night to set.
Thank you for the tricks and tips!
just wondering what time of paint you are using with the resin, im a beginner and dont want to mess it up, thanks
Hi thank you for your teaching on KZhead you are very easy to listen to. I have a question which i hope you can answer for me. I have been painting tiles to make into coasters to give away for Christmas presents. My husband is resining them for me but the resin is pulling away from the side edges of the tiles. Have you got a solution to our problem and if so what can we do? Thank you look forward to hearing from you. Regards Maria
Thanks a lot Very Helpful Video
Hi loved the video, and tried risen a few time but still end up throwing everything. What kinde of colores do you mix with risen?
Indeed it is a beautiful piece of art but since I am a beginner so I need to know the ratio of two component which you have added.
Very informative- thanks!
Judy Williamson thank you for watching
Thanks for sharing! Found this great! Xxx
great we need more of it
Is there a substitute I can use instead of a blowtorch? I looked it up and it said I shouldn’t but I have seen many others used hairdryers and even just blew through a straw and their pieces came out really well.
Love the music
Would love to see a video with all the techniques and tricks!
Check out my resin art play list. There are lots of resin techniques videos there
Hi Sheri...when you pour parts of resin in the measuring cup, how many ounces of each??? Thank you!!!! Your work is GORGEOUS!
Very helpful What kinda board do you use?
wow .. u make that look so easy
Gorgeous colors
Super video Thank You for sharing...I’m ur new friend 👏🏻👏🏻God Bless 😇😇
Can you paint and re resin on a previous project to rectify it
Sheri, you work is lovely and so neat and clean, not like some I have watched making a big mess an so much waste. Do you add something to thin the resin to get it to pour easy? Keep up the beautiful work!!!
Elaine Moltrup the resin I liked to use is not as thick as other resin I've tried. You can always add a little bit of acetone in to your resin. Just be careful that you don't add too much because it will effect the resin setting.
Thanks, you help a lot.
Pro tip, lower the music levels because makes it hard to hear you. But thank you so much for the tips! I don't know why, but all of a sudden I had this huge interest for this kind of art. I'm a graphic designer, this is going to be an excellent hobbie and a way to make some cash who knows :D
Very helpful, thank you!❤
Very interesting, wouldn't it be a good idea to put a board over the top of it so dust doesn't get into it while it's drying?
Hi i enjoy and enjoy your step by step the only thing i want to know hoe to preperd the board before I pour the resin thank you much
excellent.....what colours you used?
Thank you for this very nice content art video.
