  • I think your work ethic is what it takes to pull off a build like this. If you need something done you don’t do it over the phone you show up at the place. You’ve flown all over the world for this car. This series is the perfect guide of how to achieve your goals. You don’t wait around for things to happen, you make them happen. Beautiful job, and congratulations to you sir.

  • When I first started watching this series I expected a nice restoration with some budget choices that would make this like a 75% P1. I knew it would be nice, but per the video where you revealed the prices for replacement parts from Mclaren, it seemed like everyone acknowledged that it wasn't realistic to try to do a full OEM rebuild knowing that you would never recoup the value because of the flood. But you have taken this in a direction that is mind blowing. You really are making this the coolest and most unique P1 in the world. It's a car that I honestly believe every other P1 owner will be truly envious of. What an accomplishment. I can't wait to see the story continue. I'm sure it will only get better from here.

    • @@AB-80XNot sure, but I’m almost certain the 650, doesn’t have a 720 engine, let alone a built 720 engine. Also suspect the suspension is far better on the P1 than it is in the 650, so personally I don’t see that comparison.

      @MechanicalMafioso@MechanicalMafioso6 ай бұрын
    • @@MechanicalMafioso Like I said, tuned. Or in this case, engine swapped. As for the suspension. Let's see what happens. Maybe he also realizes that the OE suspension is too expensive and thus just throws a set of coilovers at it.

      @AB-80X@AB-80X6 ай бұрын
    • @@MechanicalMafiosoit'll be twice as expensive as DDE 720 GTR with a built 1300+hp engine. The P1 without the hybrid drivetrain and battery will actually weigh less than the 720s. It'll have an older version of the 650s/720s transmission. Won't be a completely new build but it should be interesting

  • It’s worth noting, we’re watching a lot more than just a hyper car rebuild. That in and of it’s is just nuts. But the collaboration and effort being put forward by everyone involved is just unmatched. Freddy has forever changed the way we watch rebuilds. Being brought along while he makes major decisions on the most infamous build on KZhead is a true joy. Thank you ❤

      @nickcoleman1968@nickcoleman19686 ай бұрын
    • @@nickcoleman1968 I’m sorry, what? You think building a motor is what makes this a hypercar?! Ah bless. What made this a hypercar was the way the hybrid system linked in with the IC engine, without it it’s just a modified 675 which would be a modified super car. If he’d replaced the hybrid system with the modern day equivalent AND modified the engine then yes, you’d be right. But he isn’t going to, this is just a rebuild on the cheap, so you’re wrong and come across like a sad little fanboy.

      @IamDude2@IamDude26 ай бұрын
    • I don't think he's concerned about it being cheap but rather is rushing the build to keep views up. Tbh I wouldn't have a problem waiting 2 years for the build to be complete whilst they do other stuff like the Audi r8 on the side but this is the way they've decided to go. 😮😮
