What $2077.96 Worth of BMW Repairs Looks Like
LAST EPISODE WITH THIS BMW ALMOST A YEAR PRIOR!
• Reviving a BMW E46 Che...
In todays video, we will fixing an ENTIRE LIST of problems on my friend and coworker Erik's 2001 BMW E46 325i with a manual transmission. We start with a full inspection of the car, and then we get into diagnosing each of the individual issues Erik has noted. Its a lot! We get it all looked over, create a bitchin write up and estimate, get a monster list of parts coming, and get this thing looking and running tip top again. A few of the jobs I go over... Bumper fitment, hood latch, broken electric mirror, broken window regulator, leaking power steering lines, coolant flush, trunk latch diagnosis, tire repair, idler pulley, tensioner pulley, alternator replacement, headlight lenses, kidney grill replacement, fog light installation, it was a BIG list! We also crushed it on an interior detail and wash.
This video took a lot of time and effort, so I hope you all enjoy!

Unfortunately, this is what does in many E46s. This car was in good shape, it just needed a few maintenance items. If your local shop charges $4000, it may be more than the car is worth. Your $75 an hour is way under indies and dealer prices. You are giving excellent service at a great price and cleaning things as you go! This will help keep some older BMWs on the road. The E46 is a great looking car.
BMW in Minneapolis is $250/hr now! Last time I needed anything from them it was $100…$75 for quality work is honestly too low; I get for friends and family but don’t undercut your skills especially when a good mechanic is hard to find these days🔧
@@bimmerboi_hutch. Wow I haven’t been to Minneapolis BMW for years. $250/ hr is crazy.
@@DCPEvo while I agree - a package of bacon is $18, so I guess I'm not surprised; I just hope the tech's got an increase too 🔧
This amount of work and repair for a little over 2K is INSANE value.
thanks for the comment and replies everyone! I agree its quite low, however Erik is a great friend and I dont know how I would feel charging more. With that being said, this job total was over $1300 in parts alone. Its crazy how expensive labor rates at the dealership are getting, I dont agree with it one bit. I can guarantee you the technicians rates are not increasing at the same rate either. Thank you all for the support and awesome comments!
If you own an old german car you definitely need someone like this to keep it on the road
Appreciate that!!!
Dude can I bring you my 2006 bmw x3 I want to get back on the road! Would be great content and I’d be more than happy to pay any rate you seem fit!
hey archy! if you could get the car to me i would take it on, im in northern CA @@archyposada7965
As a German I love that people still do this! Me myself I'm looking to get myself a Audi A8 D3 or D4 3.0TDi depending on milage and prices and keeping it on the road for as long as possible
@@DayOffDIY me too! I’ll dm you.
That is some A1 service! If every mechanic out there was as great as you there wouldnt be any cars in the junkyard! Keep up the good work bud:)
Appreciate you my friend! There would be a lot more cost efficient cars on the roads I agree, my two $500 E46s were destined for the scrap yard until i found them. Good to see you again!
Do I have a BMW? No. Do I know anything about cars? No, that’s what I have my mechanic brother for. Did I watch this whole video and google things I didn’t understand? ABSOLUTELY. This video was great, I really enjoyed how you went over things , how you spoke, it felt like I was there with my brother keeping him company while he works on cars. Looking forward to seeing your past and upcoming videos. Liked and subscribed!!
Do I know how to fix cars? Nope. Do I own a BMW? Not at all. Am I a newly subscribed and fully addicted supporter of this channel and all of these videos? ABSOLUTELY! It's almost cathartic watching how much he enjoys repairing BMWs and just his awesome and kind personality. I almost wish I did own a BMW X3 or X5 and lived in that Northern Cal area. This guy is amazing!
Youre awesome, what a lovely comment! Im glad you enjoyed the content, more to come soon! :)
What I would do to be able to find a BMW mechanic like yourself in my area. Incredible job, going above & beyond with even the little things is why you're not just a mechanic, but a great mechanic.
Thank you Daniel! Really appreciate the kind words. Where ya located?
@DayOffDIY Of course, hard finding good, reputable & honest mechanics. I'm in Staten Island, NY
ahh NY! do you have to fight a lot of rust?
@DayOffDIY fortunately I don't, most of my fighting is with the mechanics who do little work, but charge alot of $
@DayOffDIY just found out that I need to replace 2 of the 4 front lower control arms. Two questions, 1: is this something I can do myself without a lift using jacks & stands & 2: if I need to replace 2, wouldn't it be better to just replace all 4?
Hello, a real pleasure to watch. Ain’t no more guys like you around. Had a lottt of bmw and a loooot of broken pieces in the garage instead of repairs… bill just keep climbing, till the day I’ve starting doing it myself. Keep up the good work and content. Cheers man all the best ✌️
Thank you for the kind words! I’m glad you enjoyed. Always fun cleaning up these E46s. I hear ya, I even have hard times finding good labor myself, more of a reason to DIY as much as I can
Cheers friend!
Fantastic video. This was just randomly suggested for me and I'm so glad it was, I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. You really do top notch work. Can't wait to see this channel blow up.
Thank you my friend! Glad you were able to find the channel. Welcome aboard!!!
quick tip from someone who’s working with these… let’s say wonderful parking brakes (thanks Mercedes) on a daily basis: put the brake rotors on and adjust the brake shoes until you can’t spin the rotor by hand anymore, after that loosen them up by about 3 turns. Like that you’ll get pretty much the „optimal“ setting for your parking brakes, no matter if the brake rotors or the brake shoes are new or not. Still an awesome video though!
good recommendation! ill have to give that a try next time
Love how you treat customers cars like your own
Ive always strived for that! Workin at the shop charging 169 an hour, i tried to instill into all my coworkers that same mentality. makes for a happy customer and a quality repair. great to see you Grant!!!
Impressive work as always! Erik’s reaction was great. Especially that detail! “I didn’t hit the trunk…” “Good!” 😂
Hahahah glad you enjoyed it :) enough work took place
This video was just randomly recommended to me and I decided to take a small peek of its offerings. Little did I know I would sit here and watch this whole amazing video in one go. And the best thing is, I don’t even have a car! Great video and I love that positivity. Keep it up!
Your comment made me smile, had to show it to my girlfriend, she loved it! Thanks for the view my friend, thats my goal, to make content that people can relax into and be entertained for an hour or so, while learning at the same time. Appreciate the comment and support!
It's so fun watching two e46 enthusiasts talk about all the work that was done on this car! I so wish I was closer to you as I would bring my e46 down and have you do some work on her. Great video.
Thank you Tina! I appreciate it!
Great video, I love how personal you are with the owner and go far beyond expectations. Keep up the e46 content.
THANK YOU!!! :)
Dude, you are great! This video and the love poured into that car was amazing! Also, shoutout to the chickens!
Excellent job on this ride, and greatly priced! My local BMW dealer charges $250/hr here in Los Angeles. 13 days and 88k views, great job bro!! Let’s keep building up the channel. I appreciate that you put everything into one solid video instead of leaving us viewers with cliff hangers “till the next episode” lol - Look forward to many more videos!!
Holy crap that is nuts. I've been maintaining my own cars since high school, hourly shop rates and finding it all enjoyable is why.
Corbin my man! Great to see you as always. Thanks for the congratulations and well wishes, we’re almost double since your comment! On our way to 200k and I can’t believe it!!! Couldn’t do it without viewers like you my friend. Yeah cliffhangers are not my style
@@DayOffDIY channel is growing at an exponential rate! I love it. Looking forward to many more videos from you brotha🙏🏽
thanks Corbin! really appreciate it! almost to 250k!!!
I used to watch his videos to fix my E46, and it was looking good and making a lot of progress until someone rear-ended me. Man, the feeling of losing it after so much work! The engine was hit and never started up again. Everything can change in a couple of minutes. I’m just happy to have enjoyed the car.
You are the mechanic that car owners hope to have. Thanks for taking so much pride in your work!
Hey i appreciate that Bill, I try! thanks for the support!!!
You’re a legend sir, great personality and fantastic customer service 👏👏👏
Thank you friend! Really appreciate it
This video showed up in my recommended videos. Glad I watched it. I love seeing how good an old E46 cleans up. Also, what a cool dude and good friend. Also a very hard worker! Hope your channel takes off, man!
Bret! Thank you my friend! Glad you found the channel. Hope we can keep the content comin for ya. Appreciate the dupport
Two words! Wow, AMAZING! I just sat through and watched this entire video without skipping a second. Great commentary, great pov and the satisfaction at the end when delivering the vehicle to the customer was the cherry on top! Keep it going man first video and I had to subscribe!
Vic! Thank you partner! You made my day with this comment. That’s exactly what I was going for. Hopefully more enjoyable content to come in the near future’
What an awesome video!! Really enjoyed the vibe and the work to keep this noble beast e46 running tip top! Erik's reaction was really great to see as well, he appreciated you going the extra mile!
Thanks for the comment! Glad you enjoyed it. Just texted Erik today, the car is running great and hes even putting more work into it. new cornering lights, seat covers, and hes doing my trim repaint DIY i did a video on! Cheers!
There's nothing like a great mechanic. My mechanic turned into a great friend. You have to appreciate good people that do good work
Well said! Thank you for the comment and support!
Just loved your nice energy, care for the car and the customer/friend. This was the very first video I saw from this channel and kept me hooked the hole hour. These E46s are sweet gems that just need good hands and owners like these. New subscriber right now here.
Thank you Igor! Really appreciate the kind words. Stay tuned for my next project, it’s going to blow you away I guarantee it!
This was Awesome! You could tell Eric was Super Grateful
I think so too! It was a blast to see him again
Great video. Nice to see the both of you looking after each other. True friendship.
Agreed! He’s a great man
Love this! Rebuilding my first e46 rn and really enjoy the content. Keep it up!
Awesome! Thank you! good luck with the rebuid and keep up those gains! lookin jacked!
Wow I’m in awe. I absolutely love BMWs and the E46 is almost like the ultimate classic. Your craftsmanship, honesty and hard work is simply amazing. Enjoying the company of other BMW enthusiasts is just topping on the cake.
Thank you! Really appreciate the kind words, thats what this channel is all about. Gotta love the E46, one of the best BMWs ever made in my opinion.
after watching a lot of your content its safe to say you're amazing and I hope more sponsors realize your talent and skills for repair and diagnosis, also great camera work and commentary as well a great restoration of another e46. also hella nice garage setup and agree I also want a lift soon as well lol
Thank you! really appreciate it! The few sponsors I do have enjoy working with me so far... I think? lol Thanks for the kind words, more content to come in the future!
Great video man, enjoyed seeing how thorough you are on everything along with great explanations of what your doing. I’ll be watching more 😊😊
Thank you! Appreciate the support friend!
Nice results brother. Enjoyed watching you go through knocking each item off the list. When chasing threads I typically flush with wd40 as I am running the tool in and out to keep debris from building up. Good video!
Good idea! I usually use anti seize but it usually makes a mess
You are such a great and honest guy/mechanic! I wish I know someone in my area with your level of integrity to work on my car
Good work mate, I really like your channel. Almost like a USA M539 Restorations!!
Thank you friend! thats a great compliment. I like to think I keep it more real ;)
I know these comments might be getting redundant but I am astonished by your work! It’s nearly impossible to find a mechanic with your skill set, work ethic and honesty. I have always wanted an older bmw, but not knowing a trustworthy mechanic has held me back. I know problems tend to arise from time to time with these cars, and I’m so skeptical of shops and mechanics taking advantage. I’d have no problem taking my car to you and spending the $ and having the peace of my mind you’re doing a quality job! Anyway, sorry for rambling! I just really appreciate your work! Amazing job and transformation. Your friend is lucky!
Noah! no way, love the comment my dude, really appreciate it. There are still good mechanics out there to be found, just gotta find someone that takes pride in their work, or just take care of the repairs yourself! Ramble on my friend, thats what my comment section is here for. Where ya located? Appreciate the support! Cheers!
@@DayOffDIY of course! & I’m in the Bay Area!
Awesome! I’m about 4 hours north of you in the redwoods!
beautiful video man, you did so much to this e46!
Wow! Your episode is as thorough as your work. Thanks for bringing back conscientiousness. Mechanics of the world, take note.
Glad you enjoyed it! thanks for the kind words! I really do appreciate it!
This is so good. You are a stand up guy and wish you nothing but success. New subscriber here from MN. Keep up the fantastic work.
Really awesome video! You really packed a lot into just over an hour. Also, your methodology is outstanding.
Thank you! Really appreciate the feedback and support
Amazed at how you’ve given new life to an old BMW. I fall under the don’t keep a car longer than 7 years club. My cousin had one like this in the late 90s, brings back memories.
Thanks for the comment! It’s great to keep these older cars on the road. They deserve to be driven! Better cars than their modern equivalents in my opinion
You’re a stand up guy. Earned my sub for the informational content but also for being an awesome fellow human which is rare nowadays.
thank you ABE! I try! really appreciate the sub and the support
Another e46 saved. It’s great to see people putting money into keeping these on the road. Even if they approach the value of the car. Top notch work as always. I do the same approach of prioritizing importance of repairs. Was a service writer for 10 years and it was a method that my customers really appreciated. The tamper dot could also be from a LCM swap that wasn’t programmed. PA Soft can scan each module and verify mileage and vin. But I’d suspect it was the cluster as they’re known to fail. I have a guy in CA that can do vin and mileage correction if your customer is interested. Keep up the great work!
Hey Rob! Thanks for the comment my friend! Just got back into town. Cool to hear you had some shop experience as well! I was wondering where yours came from. it shows in your videos. Im curious of where the dot came from. Ill let Erik know and see if hes curious, hes going to ask his son Kirk if he knows anything about any gauge cluster repairs etc. Good to see you friend!
@@DayOffDIYthanks Alec. Yah 10 years as a service writer at Chevy, Jeep/Chrysler and Toyota. If it wasn’t for the customers it would’ve been a good gig lol. My father was a tech back in the day but about the only thing he taught me is that I’m holding the flashlight wrong.
lol some customers are the WORST. My old man taught me how to hold the flashlight too, now im teaching him what i know about newer OBD2 cars. Youre channel is looking really good dude! the views are climbing and the content is quality! keep up the good work.
Hey man ! I’m watching your video from Europe, must say it’s been therapeutic just seeing the car transformed to it’s almost former glory plus you are a straight honest guy which I respect because this is where the trust forms from a business prospective. I just sold a 2004 E46 330i 6 speed manual soft top yesterday for just $3000 after 2 yrs enjoying it , Good one on ya buddy 💪🏻👍
Thank you my friend! Really appreciate it. I would have loved to buy that car from you, I love the manual transmission e46 I got, it’s a whole different car with a manual. Really appreciate the support!! Also, what part of Europe are ya from?
@@DayOffDIY hi pal , good ole England 😁
Awesome! Cheers!
Alot of Mechanics just do not care, needs people who compassionate about repairs and quality and not how much money they can make or time they can saved. Wished there are more people like you.
thanks! I appreciate that! I do care, especially with my friends cars
Another great video, makes my weekend getting to watch you work!
My man! Always appreciate your comments. Just got back from two trips, one to socal for some tuna and deer hunting locally. Ready to get back to work!
Excellent! Another superb video, keep ‘em coming! 👍🏼
Thank you James!
Absolutely fantastic job! Kudos to Eric for keeping this German beauty in check. I used to have E46 coupe for 9 years and I loved it to bits. Unfortunately it had to go as there was lot of rust underneath and some otger stuff that just wasn't worthy as it would add up to several thousands in repairs. I drive E92 now but E46 it's just something else. Shout out from UK 🇬🇧. Keep up the good work!
Couldn't agree more! Erik is a champ for taking it on. Not much you can do about all that rust, but the E90s are another fantastic chassis! Appreciate the support!
I love this kinds of videos where the guy really enjoys his work and takes pride in the result.
Thanks Jeff! Just trying to do my best
That was by far the best video of an e46 repairing video I ever saw! Keep going man, i subscribed immediatly :)))
that means a lot! thank you! I got more BMW content coming very soon and more E46 content in the near future
Love the care and attention to detail. Gained a new subscriber!
Hey thank you for the sub and the support! Appreciate it
beautiful work as always
thank you andrew!
God bless you my dude. I stumbled upon tis video. I'm glad that I clicked on it. There needs to be more honorable mechanics like you. Too bad you are all the way in California, or I would definitely support your business. Keep up the great work.
Appreciate the kind words my friend! It was a win win for me and Erik! Hoping for more projects to come.
Just found out about this channel recently. Now I'm binge watching alot of your vids. Great, great, great work. You describe what you are doing very well. Let's us give it a try if we are feeling risky.
Awesome video keep up the good work fella you'll go a long way

Welcome to the channel gerardo! They are awesome cars
People like 100 feet is so high, but a plane with gallons of water that is still a risky job. Erik is a great man.

I bet shed love it ! Havent met someone that doesnt enjoy driving an E46, my favorite bmw chassis i think

Thank you friend! I hope to make more of this type of video too !
Wow 1 hour Day off DIY vid? Yea time to slack off and watch at work, Cheers Everyone.
Yo Shaq! Long time no see. Hope you enjoy the vid my friend!
Thorough job, nice work.
Thank you!
Work done with clinical precision. In todays world, almost all the car dealership workshops are in a 'replace dont repair' spree. However, its nice to see you moving away from that mindset and repairing what can be repaired and replacing only whats required. The detailing is immaculate. I credit myself with the detailing of my car, I have been doing it for past 15 years. However, when it comes to washing my car , I need not more than 2 gallons of water in a bucket and thats enough for me to clean my car from the outside to inside.
Thank you for the comment friend! Appreciate it. I try to repair what I can and replace what I can’t. I think it’s a good way to go.
Damn! you did a superb job! Great attention to detail and very methodical.
Thank you SS! I try! Appreciate the support
I hate watching movies because they're soooo long but I watched this 1:19m video without stopping and I loved it. Keep it up man! ❤
That means I’m doing something right!! Glad you enjoyed!!! Cheers
Outstanding work. Suscribed. Miss my E34, but looking at either a ti or an e 36 or 46 M3 to add to my fleet some day. Just love the older Bimmers. Keep up the great work. Wish you were out in SoCal.
I grew up in socal, in San Clemente! Now im on the other side of the state lol thanks for the sub! love the E46s, espcially the M3s, hope to have one someday too. Thanks for the support!
This video is pure gold. First of all, you got a new subscriber. Second, I just bought an E46 330 Ci 2002 from my neighbor, the car has only 76k Km (47k miles) and it was parked on his garage for a few years because he crashed it, and the only real damage was aesthetically but he didn't wanted to spend money to fix it (I'm from Venezuela and the cost is even higher to fix a BMW here). So I saw an opportunity and decided to buy it for a bargain. I got a mechanic to change all the fluids, the fuel pump and filters, I changed the battery, the tires and the car started and runs so freaking smoothly. I have it now at the bodyshop for the hood (which was the most affected part from the crash), a full paint job and detailing. My only concern is to find a good mechanic that knows what he's doing around a car like this and I think the best approach is to just do a lot of the stuff myself. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for the level of detail in this video and everything you did to the car, it helps me know better the car I bought and for that I'm grateful! Keep up the good work and I wish you great success. PD: excuse me for my English, not my native language! Edit: so I wrote this like 20 min into the video, afterwards it just gets better. Amazing job
Thank you so much Gabe! and no need to apologize for your english, it is excellent! Glad you enjoyed this video, i had a lot of fun making it. Cant wait to share the next one with you, ive been working in the background on a giant video project and itll be out in a few days. I hope youll enjoy that one too. Also congrats on the car! once they are tuned up dont they drive amazing?! love the E46
I learned quite a few things thank you
Glad to hear that friend!
Nice work, man!
thank you!!!
Fantastic video mate! as soon as I saw you were taking the time to detail your friend's car I thumbed up and subscribed lol. Shows good character. A few tips for you: 1) Acetone dissolves crazy clue's 2) Always check where your beloved dog is when you handle Antifreeze, its sweet so if he licks a small spill, it will kill him. (I had a wonderful German Shepard who was my buddy when I worked on my BMW's) 3) Just add the word "labor" some place on the line entry for your breakdown invoice. 4) The missing clip for the fog lamp you can get cheap by the bag. Other than that, keep up the good work !!! great job !
Hey thanks for the awesome comment! I’ll have to try acetone in the future. Don’t have any on hand, still building up supplies. Germans are fantastic dogs, I bet they make great friends. Thanks for stopping by and the useful tips!
Bro,,this is a miracle....u rock . This BMW is a Gem. A Diamond. Congrats brother. Bless your Heart bro....ur 1 of a kind
That means a lot ! Thank you so much!

Watching this gives me motivation to go work on my car, lol. I just finally got ahold of an 05 330i ZHP sedan with alcantara interior. It’s a little rough but I’m in the process of starting a series on it. I’ll send you the link when the first video goes live. Just needs some tlc & some repairs but I’m going all out on it!
That sounds like a rad car, well done, I love ZHPs and the alcantara. One of my absolute favorite BMWs. When you make a video send it my way! Or email me so I don’t lose it 👍🏻 Always good to see ya in the comments
I see someone with superpowers when I watch a good mechanic
Well if you’re referring to me I appreciate the compliment!

amazing job man, another old bimmer saved
Thanks for the sub! Glad you enjoyed!
A new phrase that has permeated the auto repair world is “mechanically totaled”. Repairs exceeding the value of car. Monetary value is one thing, but, emotional value is another. I have spent twice the value on repairs of my E39M5, and it was totally worth it. I assume this E46 is the same. Good work repairing the car.
E39 M5, that’s my dream BMW! If you ever sell it, consider me will ya? I like that term, I’ve totally ran across cars that should be destined for the scrapper, but e39s and e46s are worth saving In my opinion
Yeah even with the front end collision on this E46, the bones are still good. The M54 engine is good for 300k plus miles
You're an exceptional, honest, reliable and humble person...u have a wealth of experience.....i work as a doctor but believe that i would've loved working with cars with even 10% of ur knowledge and dedication....keep up the good work!!u should consider teaching!!!
Thanks Doc! Thats what I strive for! I think you may still enjoy it, we all got plenty of time left here on Earth, never too late to start! Also, i love teaching so its very cool to hear that from you. I consider youtube my outlet for my desire to teach for now
Kickass mechanic and just overall Great eye for the small details!!
Thank you! Appreciate it!
Pretty much needed everything they all need, I picked one of these up a few years ago for like 500$ not running, needed a new MAF to keep it running and a laundry list of other neglected things, was a great car after I was finished, I traded it for a non running S55 amg and restored that after.
Epic! Yeah they pretty much all need these items, but to fix em up isn’t too bad!
good channel. i just bought a E46 316i 2004 and i want to do most of the future work on the car myself. i like theese kinds of videos.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. More bmw content to come!
E46! Is a beautiful car thanks for this video😊
Amazing work dude... regards from beautiful country of Perú
Peru! how awesome. thanks for the support friend!
Thanks for including the real cost at a shop at the end. I have seen new headlights on new cars go for $1000.
Some classic E46 content
Thanks Lt!!!
This is great maintenance on e46, I learn a lot as you go about, you doing an excellent job at a reasonable cost,.. Please give tips on preventive maintenance on these cars Thanks
Thank you for the comment! I try to keep it entertaining and educational. I’ll try to do more preventative maintanence in the future!
Hi Alec, i always clean wheel hub of rust to make sure disc brakes sitting ideal… Love your CHANEL…
I agree! I try to do the same. Appreciate the support my friend! Thank you!
Such a great service for your bud, I wish you could work on mine too! 😅 Loving the E46 content coming back, mine is now officially oil leak-free! Also great tip on the headlight lenses, I was aboit to restore mine but can get a brand new Magnetti pair for £36!
Score!!! Good to see you Ross. I was pumped to be working on one again. Now that I’m back in town I need to get the distributor installed on my E46. Went to socal for some tuna fishing and then spent two days trying to get a deer before season closed. Scored big on the tuna but no deer this season. Maybe next year! Always learning. Cheers Ross!
enjoyable video, looking forward to doing a lot of this same work on my own RHD E46.
Thank you! Hopefully it helped. They’re great cars and deserve to stay on the road!

Hey! I’m glad you enjoyed, means I’m doing something right, more content to come in the future!
*Jesus. What excellent work. 117 stars!*
Thank you Frank!
I am really happy you have a video that made 150K views. It’s a great video! You deserve it! I hope this is the video that makes your channel grow :-) all the best from Bavaria…home of BMW :-)
Thank you my friend! I really appreciate that! I’ve been super happy with the growth of this one. Some good momentum to carry me into SEMA festival next week, should turn into some good networking. Couldn’t do it without awesome viewers like yourself. Cheers!
one thing that shops/mechanics don't do is advice the customer. for example, my mechanic changed all shocks and said to him "hey if the car needs some parts while you have all out, let me know the price and I give green light or not", because I knew rear shocks were almost needing to replace the dust covers. after a couple months, dust covers split and I thought "i told that mdf to tell me". I went to youtube, saw how it is replaced, went to buy the parts and changed them myself. no issues. so, not cleaning gearbox or not replacing other parts "while-we-are-here" that's not new to me.
Brutal! Well I always try to treat customers how I’d want to be treated ya know? Live and learn!
@@C0rvette454 you take 1h of labor to clean a gearbox? you are mechanic right? That's the reason for your answer.
should only take about 5 minutes to give it a quick wipe down
@@DayOffDIY of course but the previous guy must clean it with a kids tooth brush...
