I knew right away that she wasn't a good fit. I'm a staunch royalist and I understand the protocols, etc, and she was just all wrong from the beginning. It has nothing to do with colour because I'm black myself. I just didn't feel like she had the dignity and decorum of royalty. Harry would have been better off marrying Jamaican girl. Jamaican parents would never let their daughter disrespect the royal family like that!

Same here! William.and Kate's interview seems so much more genuine, relaxed and realistic. They were more in tune with what's expected of them, and they had each other's backs. Here, Meghan just wants to dominate the conversation, and the handholding throughout is simply cringeworthy. Also Harry talks so lovingly about the support his family is giving her!
Kate barely spoke & when she did speak she would fumble her words and actually said a whole lot of nothing. Nonetheless, she looked poised and pretty.
Meghan’s USA style of speaking has made British people feel uncomfortable. However, she was clear spoken and brutally up front.

Harry said in the interview that they didn't have to be working Royals. He said Meghan could have kept working as an actress and they would have been financially independent from the start. I think she thought she could handle it. But now it's clear she just should have continued her career. No drama and a ton of opportunities.

They were being interviewed as a couple because of who he is, not her. Whoever he became engaged to this interview would have taken place. If Meghan had become engaged to practically anyone else it would not have made the news. Yet, she takes the lead and talks over him. Clearly she’s the leader and wears the pants. William and Catherine’s engagement interview is so different. Catherine understood that they were being interviewed solely because of who William is. She was polite and not controlling in their interview. Neither one of them speaks over the other. I am a friend of a former friend of Meghan from Los Angeles. My friend says that Meghan is full of it.

Your friend is correct. The private conversations Meghan had about Harry were heartbreaking. Though dealing with ppl who know how to high level abuse and strong arm or force actors (capable to actual act) to get in on psych abuse is far to common, and esp easily accessible through la la land. Fortunately, awareness existed to fight back, as deserved. Abuse of power is a serious concern. Additionally, people abusing their roles and oaths with zero regard for constitution (though some play a great game/ event face to collect bogus awards/ medals for the very concerns they actually perpetuate). LA knows how deep Markle scams go. RF obviously knows how complex and deep it all goes. With respect to Ragland/ Markles, from political/ humanitarian perspective, few know how desperate Markle family, and others, in on it from start, wanted Meghan Markle to be a super-star..... at any cost. Princess Diana took a great risk during the known final moments recognizing a much larger scope, anticipating a, perhaps, inevitable collide. That conversation is Gold. Some unfortunate sacrifice also accompanied. However, watching how people have navigated following her broadcasted passing (in both seen and unseen roles) is incredibly interesting. As is discovering more as an adult. Sadly, in too many ways, a disappointing observation. She was not "thick" or mentally incompetent.... def. understand, now more than ever, how she was inaccurately perceived as a threat within our system. Yet, with the help, loyalty, and innocence of CHILDREN.... she helped change our world. A competent creative with (and at) heart. She was hunted.... but she also knew how to hunt.
Catherine had/z an Angel. Meghan doesn't even have Satan.

She did become noticeably nervous when talking about her "family", so she included something about her friends. It's a shame that there are so many hateful comments here in 2020. Look, I wish I could meet someone to look at the way she looks at it, even if she is laying it on a little thick. Having said that part, these two young, fortunate people, fell in love and want to be tigether. That shouldn't be treated any differently than if you haters found someone with whom to fall in love. On another note... I don't usually go fo gingers, but, he's very good looking. He seems to be a good person. Who cares about that royal mess. Rewatching this after 5yrs and I just noticed that when the interviewer asks the Hackles if they have met each other's family Harry doesn't say much. Instead Meghan takes over the convo and goes on and on about meeting both the royals and the spencers. It's interesting that nobody thought that this was a red flag at that time

When you know about her personality type and watch this with that knowledge this is very interesting. She alternates between a giddy school girl with her first love and someone delivering a opinion in a work meeting. To alternate between these variations so effortlessly is a red flag it’s not as sincere or authentic as one might believe. The fact the she had ‘ticked’ the box of 100 shows on her series ‘Suits’ was always going to make its way into an answer, and when it did it bore no relationship to the question. She has strengths, that is for sure, but her raging narcissism is just extraordinary, and narcissists in the long term do not make for great partners.
