      @memr5690@memr5690 Жыл бұрын
    • He actually pronounced it correctly here and how they say it on TV has been wrong: Ma-CHEE-Da. It doesnt have an accent on Chee, as Japanese words have no accent, like Yamaha, Samurai and Ma-Chi-Da. Japanese also doesnt use chee without doubling the i, and his name is not Machiida. So CHI is pronounced with a very short i like chicken. google pronounce machida

      @jacques_koffaltretes@jacques_koffaltretes Жыл бұрын
    • @@jacques_koffaltretes OK first off the first name is the problem, he said "LIE oh to" instead of the correct LYO to. Secondly if you wanna get specific, the Chida in Machida 町田 was pronounced with proper lack of elongation of Chi like you said "まちだ" rather than "まちいだ" but the ma is not correct. More similar to Muh as in Muh big car rather than Ma as in Mat. Aint no defending this pronunciation.

    @knightish@knightish Жыл бұрын
    • Front kicks were my go to when I got bullied as a kid, I always aimed at the solar plexis for maximum disrespect Nothing is better at detering a bully than a well placed front kick, or if they are especially revolting, a nice headbutt

      @ogluqqychess4452@ogluqqychess4452 Жыл бұрын
    • The first couple on this list, including Machida's, you can see them setting with multiple kicks elsewhere, usually side kicks to the body. Force either damage to that spot or a trigger to defend it, then switch to a high kick from the side or to the front. Classic long-game striking strategy, setting up the KO's instead of swinging for the fences too early and potentially getting caught out.
