Machiavelli: THE ART OF WAR - AudioBook (Book 1 PART 1)🎧📖 | Greatest🌟AudioBooks
While Niccolò Machiavelli may be best-known for his masterwork of political strategy called "The Prince", his book "The Art of War" has made a tremendous impact on Western military strategists since the Renaissance. Published in Florence, Italy, in 1521, Machiavelli built upon Roman war tactics, and influenced leading European military philosophy until after the Napoleonic Wars.

Niccolò Machiavelli developed the philosophy of "limited warfare" - meaning that if or when diplomacy fails, war becomes an extension of politics. The Art of War emphasizes the necessity for a state militia, and promotes the concept of an armed citizenry. Machiavelli taught that just as a roof shields a palace's inhabitants from harsh weather -- the protection of a strong military force is required for a human society's cultural health and prosperity.

    • Good question. Both deal with strategy, but Machiavelli's book is completely different than Sun Tzu's. As far as I know, Machiavelli (in Renaissance Italy) never knew of Sun Tzu's work (written long before in ancient China).

    • I do not think that Fabrizio Colonna knew about Tsu. Only discussed Europe. But he very well could have given his character. Really like that you all broke it up vs long continuous all book versions. This book and The History of Florence are some of my favorites. Subd 👌

  • Laws and rules are of a coercive nature dressed in customs; whose customs is to be asked. This explains the non-issue of "woke" and the resistance to it, for ideology, beliefs and customary norms are being challenged which is how rule is legitimized.

    @alifqadrmuhammad4542@alifqadrmuhammad45422 жыл бұрын
    • The veil of custom has long since been lost to the isles of history as the coercion of law is simplistically seen as the measurements to the societal hierarchies. The good law is birthed from the collective ego of the whole, impregnated not with the urgency to participate with the laws from proclivity deriving from duty, but rather, impregnated from desire to further the self. In the sense of the self one is naturally assumed to strike at the hand which contests those things to be evaluated as worth owning.The system is balanced when the Fear of being the struck hand propels the ego to best increase thier chances of acquiring desirable items with the least resistance. The main point to be made is that coercion is not necessarily a value to avoid but rather a factor to be applied. Contesting the values of coercion simply to contest the values is fruitless in the sense that no resolution from the conflict is synthesize, something is just destroyed as a result. Woke is bad because it only hopes to deconstruct societal narratives held to be objective standards when in reality the only movement forward is through dialectics and synthesis. Application of custom with intention of prosperity far triumphs critique of custom with intention to critique.
