"The window for the Russians is whether they can mount an offensive before the aid gets there."
Putin is now on the clock to make gains in Ukraine but will already be facing increased defence from Ukraine as they ease ammunition rationing ahead of US aid arrival, says Prof. Scott Lucas.

  • Russia didn't win in Afghanistan which was a smaller and less sophisticated and well armed adversary. It takes overwhelming strength to occupy and subdue a country and Russia simply does not have an overwhelming advantage.

    • @@kardahaspindal In WWII the Russians stopped one of the biggest fighting machines of the twentieth century. If Russia has not won on the Eastern Front it would have been very difficult for the British and the Americans to defeat the nazis. The Brits and the Yanks suffered KIA of less than 500,000 each. The Russians losses, well they were in the millions and millions. If you did not study WWII I would recommend some reading. Max Hastings is a recommended source. All the best.

  • At least the Ukrainians are making good use of USA and NATO weapons given to them unlike the South Vietnamese and Afghans who just gave it all to their enemies and ran away, Ukrainians stood up and fight and 2 years later still fighting hard standing strong vs. continued Russian attacks with a ferocity not seen since WW2 Eastern Front.

  • It's really interesting to look at how news media affects different people, because the different sides of the story are always vastly different and yet everyone thinks they are the objective truth. We live in the information age where we have gotten acustomed to fast verifiable information being readily available, however, that has led to our own hubris in thinking the information can't be suppressed or altered when in reality, a lot of the information we get about both the Ukraine war and the Gaza war are indeed biased one way or another.

  • I, mostly, like Times Radio videos, but one thing I'm not a huge fan of is when we get a new upload, and it's just a clip from a previous upload. I get the point is valid, maybe to bring attention to a point that was deeper into a video than the first 20 minutes, but maybe emphasize this with a link to the full video?     • Russia would have lost to Germany if it were not for Allied aid, arms, and assistance. The allies cut Germanies supplies in Africa, and opened multiple fronts. This time its not Russia getting allied aid. Its Ukraine getting allied aid and Russia is losing badly and Putin is a complete failure.
