  • Heyo!, just want to say that I finally bought Rocket Japanese about 2 weeks ago. I absolutely love it, my language retention is great with the way Rocket structures their course. Rocket introduces important grammar as you progress and it helps make sense of the structure of the language and it feels natural. Love the way they gamify your learning experience, makes me want to invest more time so I can be at the top of the leaderboards haha. I just want to say sincerely thank you again for your in-depth reviews. Would not have chosen Rocket and probably would not have made the jump to learn a language I've always been interested in without your videos. The discount helped me out a lot as well, it saved me another week of saving and I'll definitely use it again once I upgrade to Level 2&3 of Rocket Japanese and possibly another language. P.S. I didn't know that you get tested at the end of each level, I'm glad to hear that!

I'm more focused this time around and actually excited to learn. I can tell this is going to be the season I become bilingual (to start). End goal is to be multilingual 🤸🏿

    • @joman spatula :/ My written skills are slowly getting better but my pronunciation is so embarrassing. I've been using duolingo for 157 days, tried the premium version but didn't notice much difference between the free and premium so I downgraded to free. Hello Talk is supposed to be good to practice with native speakers. I've tried almost every app and some in tandem. I won't give up this time around though. Thanks for asking

  • I am in love with my Girlfriend of almost 2 years. She is half Hispanic, and uses only Spanish when hanging out with her dad’s side of the family. We both graduated college only a year ago, so most of our time and money is spent working off our student loans. I would love to be able to communicate with her family without breaking the bank! I love the videos! And fingers crossed I get selected!

  • I want to learn Portuguese because I would like to live in Brazil for a few years. I think it is a beautiful country with my opportunities. I particularly love it because there is no stereotype on what a typical Brazilian looks like so I would definitely fit in regardless of my looks. To clarify, if I move to Japan for example, I would stand out because I am African and my skin colour and hair type is different from theirs but Brazil is a melting pot which is one of the reasons why I love it.

  • I purchased Fluenz a long time ago for around 300usd (discounted) in Spanish. The major problem with the software, lack of engagement, left me feeling bored after five mins (yes; I tried). The combination of drone speech to explain the dialogue and I usually forget what the basic information was. I didn't even finish one lesson, and it was an enormous waste of money. I don't recommend Fluenz and prefer the Babbel approach, which I picked up as a lifetime sub with all languages for $149usd. That's my review of Fluenz.

  • To be honest, I just started to learn Italian through rocket language, and I love. I am almost at the end of the 1st. Module and the lessons are harder (it can't be easy all the time, right?) Anybody who hates irregular verbs raise your hand 😂. Thank for your review. I am glad that I made the right decision and even though I think I am a visual learning, I am learning a lot. I also will start to read short Italian stories to improve my pronunciation and have a better flow, since Italians speak so fast (I tried to watch an old Sofia Loren's movie and it was a disaster lol). What language did you or are you learning? I have 2 levels but haven't get the 3rd. yet. Thx
