I love that your dog is eating the goat feed too. 😂😂😂
I saw that too as the camera panned. Goat, goat, goat, dog, lol
My first experience with the cycle of life/death was my hamster. Came home from school one day and he was gone. Wrapped up in a paper towel, inside a little box. Had a burial. I took it well for a 6 year old. Planted him in the garden and grew the best radishes that year.
Heyyy, you can’t do me like that🤣🤣i was tracking you man
I agree Two thumbs up But u forgot the milk and it's products
That's because he's not milking his goats. He's raising them for meat.
Cheese is where my taste buds go nuts, 🧀 and more cheese 🧀
Everything you said is so true.I make more money off my goat kids, than my lambs.I try and keep all my little girls and sell the little boys.I don't allow any children around the big billy goats.I use the goat milk for any bum lambs too...saves cost in lamb milk replacer and healthier for the lambs too.Goats are so fun to be around!
I had 44 goats at one time when I was younger. They are awesome, I especially miss my baby goats.
Oh snap... now I need to film a funny cow video... this is my New Years resolution now 😂
LOL, good luck with that! Cows will never be as funny as goats!
I am sorry, but Arms Family Homestead, cows can be funnier than goats.
LOLOLOL....You got that right!! They are super fun.....we just love them!! Nothing like’em- Jason
Hi.... thank you 🌱🏡🎥👍👍👍
I love your videos....and I agree about them being just cute and funny.....your channel is my go to when I need something to make me smile and giggle.......
Just came across this video while trying to decide whether to add goats to our homestead. You convinced us! haha thanks for the information!
I fully agree! I can't wait to get my first goats! Goats and ducks I'm most excited about getting for my future homestead.
Love watching Tip jumping on the trampoline!!! Great video and Amen to kids learning the circle of life early and not just keeping them from it.
Amen!
Priceless information.. I am now convinced to have goats in my future farmstead. I ll have them for milk though. thank you.
Just came over and subscribed from Keeping it Dutch. Great videos, will have to catch up
That was a great video. Loved your son and Bear. Too cute. Hugs❤️
Totally agree
Great video, we have 10acres with mostly brush and woods and we plan to get some goats sometime soon ! Thanks!
Beautiful goats. So cool to watch Houston bottle feed Skip.
I love this video. Feeling inspired
That dog loved the camera lol! That whole environment seemed really nice in all.
I think your videos and channel is great thanks for sharing.
Morning Daniel and Houston, love all my animals. Truly cant pick a favorite .
You are blowing the others away Goats Rock is the message they are getting. love it !
Thanks.
It's strange but I found your goats to be the most interesting and funny animal of the four videos. Cheers
Thanks for sharing your five reasons why you love goats..... I to think they're useful and funny. :)
If I was to have goats you would be the go to guy. I've watched them all and could do it with just you're videos.
Love how natural these videos are. Kid interrupts or the dog interrupts, then you just keep on filming. Other people would do take after take until they got it perfect.
Oh my, think you just made the price of goats go up again. Great job you two.
Wonderful video. You make a great point about the future and potential of marketing goat meat. The problem is that most people doesn't know how cook it and take away its deer like flavor. But offering it in small farmers markets and giving recipes could be a good start. Milk is another potential of profitability. I love your video, it really inspire me to start my own little farm. 15 years ago, with many sacrifices I bought my house in a brand new neighborhood, now is turned to be a place for drugs and cars being robbed. It is sad but now I prefer to live in a place surrounded by animals than unscrupulous people. May God bless your beautiful children It is delightful to see how they enjoy their very happy life.
Great video and I just love Bear! He is adorable 🥰
LOL you were getting seriously photo bombed Daniel !!!! So fun , love this collab topic !!!
Cool video and helpful. I live in a big city on the west coast... I could only imagine living on a farm
thank you for sharing...i am with Austin.i like the cows....
The gray baby goat with white top on the tail is awesome 😍 Houston skip needs some attention 😂
😂 it’s the same way here anytime I try to make a video! Love it!
hair sheep are the best I was told to say, haha thnx for sharing
I fall in love from the first Sec , I don’t normally like kids , but your kid got me I even forgot about the goats lol
it's a delicacy here. I agree on the points
Agree! Love my goats the best too
I'm hispanic and yes, I love goat meat. Really wish it was sold nearby, can't understand why people in the US won't eat them.
I agree. Maybe someday it will become more widely accepted and sold in grocery stores.
I agree goat meat is awesome.
It is because of cows the cuts of meat are bigger. And the stigma of goats being low class meat is the biggest problem...
I just convinced my mom to buy goats for meat niether of us have tried it but with the economy how it is shes finally willing to try and ive always been willing hahah. Can you give me like a comparison to some other critter what it might taste like? Close to venison?
@@QueenSucho there is a slight taste difference from anything I've had, but I'd say the biggest difference would be in the texture. My advice would be to pressure cook for a long time, especially if feeding to children or older people.
Thanks for the info...new subber came over from keeping it dutch
Thanks for the sub!
I love that dog 🐕 👍
Thank you, goats are very entertaining :)
I ABSOLUTELY agree! Goats are the BEST! I raise a herd of dairy goats. And I enjoy the new additions every year. I enjoyed your video. Thank you. :)
How much space do they need, let’s say I wanted 15 goats, how big of a pen would they need?
And number 1.......the comedy! Our lambs are an absolute hoot to watch!
In my family we eat goat When have goat we usually have when we a big family outing usually roasting. Out side with sweet potato and summer squash. and many salad fixing! And apple pie yummy I love goats!
Yeah cabrito!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a group for a collab!!! Nobody can compete with a thorn and poison ivy eater I think you won this one!
Thanks!
Awe Bear just wants to help!! haha this is one of the reasons I love your channel! So authentic!! I hope to see goat meat in the stores someday too! Best meat!!
Why is Bear eating..and LIKING....Grain!! LOL!! Nice video!
Gotta love the helper puppies
because they are great moving decorations on the roof of your house, they also keep the snow off the roof
Hi Houston!! We have Boer goats and love them. Have been considering hair sheep because they are lower maintenance.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Daniel you may want to watch the Garden Answer channel, video titled September garden tour dated 9-30-17. You'll see why I think it would be a great idea for them to have goats. Towards the end of the video she talks about making an area a pasture and getting animals. It would be perfect for goats and she just had a little boy. Now think about how much Huston loves those goats. Perfect fit!!!!!!!! I'm hoping to see some rehomed goats there one day. 😉
ME to love them goats so cute. ❤️
I have to say the reason I got my goats was because of funny KZhead Goat videos!! Plus I love the free supplies of milk as I don't pay for feed... PS nice video bro good times
Love your video and your Anatolian shepherd. I'm considering getting some goats because we have a lot of brush to eat and my Anatolian shepherd is lonely. Thank you for your awesome videos.
I have an Anatolian/Pyrenees mix and am considering getting goats to keep brush down and keep my dog company. Small world
When you said "Alabama", we subbed! Your goats are definitely cute!
Thanks but I'm not actually from Alabama. That was just a statistic I found online.
I completely agree about goats we tried hair sheep not kid friendly at all. The Kiko goats are the best breed to cross with as far as im concerned.Plus they just give you hours of enjoyment watching them as they play. Goats are the best
1:41 this guy is surrounded by so much love, with the dog, and his child. :^)
Wait til that kid becomes a teenager lol
Nice videos please make videos about Nigerian dwarfs. Your kids are gorgeous many blessings for you all
Love the video. Thanks for sharing. What type of fencing do you use for the goats?
Bear is so helpful!!
Haha! Bear really loves that camera.
Hi my favorite baby 👦 boy Huston good morning Daniel glad to be here, just came over from AL and Olivia and Gina from L A . I think your 🐐 goats are always looking good, thanks Huston for introducing Brownie to us all. hi Bear 🐕he just 😍 love you Daniel. hi Skip🐐. Love it your animals and kids sure love you lol always want to give kisses love it. ❤️ HAPPY VALENTINES DAY TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY . ❤️ 💖💖💞💞
The animals are making their appearances, & saying, "Hi!".
You had many funny interruptions with your video very funny
I may just have to invest in some goats. Your homestead has progressed nicely.
I just inadvertently went 3 extra days before doing my “Limbs” workout (squats, hams, arms)… on every lift I did more weight for more reps than last time. I felt so strong, and even though getting huge PRs I actually felt like I still had more in me on some of the lifts(like hack squats @ 20 pounds heavier and 3 reps MORE than last week). It was in this moment that any doubt I had in the validity of what Mike Mentzer preached just vanished. I was already shooting for 2-3 days between sessions but the huge difference between that and 5-6 days as per this last session was almost miraculous
OMG! Everyone and their grandma' wants to be in the video!!! So funny! :D
I agree with you
Yep goats are the most humorous! I also see the benefit of the number of kids they give...though piggies might have ya beat there! Smiles and blessings...
LOL... In this Battle of the Best, did you warn Dutch you'd be pulling out both Houston and baby goats as force multipliers ??? Cause that's some powerful hedging of your bets... ahahahaha Thanks for sharing !
I'm willing to do whatever is necessary!
lol
All that was missing was missing was Sally Struthers, a box of doughnuts, and an 800 number to help provide clean drinking water to the children of a 3rd world country by voting for goats..... :::wink:::
Hahahaha
I love Your Goats 🐐 They are beautiful and I bet they taste fantastic!
Dutch sent me! Goats are hilarious!
When I checked my KZhead notifications this morning I didn’t know what was going on. I read one, then another, what the... after seeing the first video it was like, ok gotcha they’re collaborating. Like with Dutch’s video though, I’ve never had goat meat. Interesting though. 👍
Awesome video. Thanks for the info on goats. We are planning to start a homestead. I am convinced that goats will be the way to go. An unrelated question tho... what breed of dog is bear?
Bear and Houston are so cute
I watched a lot fun piglet videos, even chicken videos
I wanna do a goat collaboration!!! That would be fun!
Great video, I really like goat meat (I do work in Haiti and they eat a lot of goat) but can never find the meat in any store. Despite the numbers, I've read the same research as you, all lamb or goat I've seen is in US stores are imported from NZ or Australia. Looks like I need to buy my 20 acres and few kiko's!
Daniel you and your family are such an inspiration! My wife I with our 3 children live in the Ozarks in Ark. We have been thinking about selling the pines on our 40acres and fencing for goats. Do you have an opinion on the most profitable breed? How bout Boers?
Boers can be profitable but they will be more difficult to care for. If you want the most profit I would go with a registered line of goats. You will be able to sell the kids for much more if you have a good blood line going.
I find goat meat in oriental grocery stores here in Illinois
Never had it, but it is DEFINITELY available in stores... there is a chain I do my shopping at, and the location by my brother has a sign that says goat is available, just ask the butcher
What bread of meatgoat do you have? They seem really friendly. Thanks for sharing.
I have Kiko and Kiko/Boer cross
Great video! Al, Gina and Olivia are so happy with the goats they chose! My only experience has been with Nubians and I really liked them. Their milk tastes great. We raise grass fed Herefords. I would prefer a separate area for goats. And do we ever have brush in NH! Especially my arch villain POISON IVY! Question. If milker ate poison ivy, would it help me or hurt me?
I have always been told that if they eat poison ivy it will help you build up a resistance to it. I don't know if that is really true or not but I grew up drinking goats milk from goats that were exposed to lots of poison ivy and I've never once had poison ivy myself.
The smell of a Billy Goat, 20 years ago, makes me dry-heave at just the thought of breeding goats. If not for the smell, I'd have them in a heartbeat.
It is nice to know how baby goats are created by mommy and daddy goats.
Nephew Dutch said I should check out the goat man, haha, we had our 25 nannies at work kid all with-in a 10 day period, kicked my butt, thank god I had students to help, our ewes are spacing it out, i had to pull two lambs so far, not one issue with the goats. I want to start doing more of the homesteading type videos, trying to build my channels, getting closer to my 1000 subs, keep those vids coming, GO GOATS!!!
Rico's Place HAIR SHEEP
Cows are my favorite animal for a small or large homestead. They can produce much more than goats, and the cream line on a jersey's milk is awesome. They can pay for themselves and give you a lot more products. Even making money from a well bred calf can bring in thousands of dollars. Also, am I the only one who started singing the Circle of Life at number two? Lol.
I’m in NJ and you can get goat and rabbit at Asian markets.
Hi, thanks for all your videos. I have a breeding question. In one of your videos, I think at copperhead, the billy was kept separate from the does. Do you have to do that? Also, do you line breed? Or once you have a few does do you sell/trade them to avoid line breeding? Thanks for any help. I’m getting ready to start a kiko herd.
Most people keep their buck separate so the does are only bred for their target kidding date. You can leave the buck with the does but you will have kids at random times throughout the year. As far as line breeding goes it really depends on your specific farm goals. Most people swap out the buck every 2-3 years to bring in fresh blood lines.
Being Hispanic, I can certainly vouch that goats are delicious, if prepared properly. Some have a "gamy" taste and odor, thus preparation,-- marinating in lime/lemon juice, salt and hot sauce overnight,-- is a must prior to cooking. Curried goat over rice is heavenly. Try it, you'll love it.!!
I know this is an older video.. but I am finding so many different opinions on goats to raise for meat in western Washington. I really trust your knowledge and would like your opinion.. it's just me and my wife. I will provide some meat to my niece and nephew and there kids.. and my son .. I raise chickens and Turkeys now.. so what do you suggest?
Hello! I am new to your channel thanks to Keeping it Dutch. what breed(s) of goats do you raise? Meat/milk or both? Also we have always wanted to try goat meat. We do have a local grocery store ( a German deli) that sells frozen goat meat. For the first timer can you recommend a certain cut and recipe to try? Thank you, Tina in NC
Thanks for coming over! We raise mostly Kiko meat goats.
