  • Fun fact: most sharks have a lighter belly and a darker back to help them surprise prey, the lighter side is useful because when you look up in the water, the sun reflects off of it giving it a very bright look. The back is dark because when you look into water from ABOVE it is more murky and mysterious, hiding the shark well.

  • Fun fact about great white sharks! Their colouration is actually camouflage. The darker top makes them blend into the dark depths when seen from above. The white belly looks like the sky when seen from below.

  • Very closely accurate to detail with sharks. None of them are clean and smooth. They all have wrinkles, scars, birth marks, etc. The ocean is a Hardy environment, these animals are living proof of it. Kudos!

I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but a little tip for your future sharks: the lateral fins are placed closer to the face than the one on top. And they have around 5 or 7 gill slits. It nothing that affects the end result too much, I still think your work is breath taking and incredible!! Thank you so much for putting it on the internet ♡
