It really would be nice to see target priority for highest health enemies on lightning or branching paths a la Mass Effect 3. So far this game doesn't have any unique features, so that would help a lot. I wouldn't count on it, though. Also, I'm enjoying your runs more than other youtubers. Keep it up!
Thanks Jed! Yeah most of these its random targeting except for the occasional weapon that targets closest or most health enemies. In this one I doubt it will happened cause you can actually manually aim and shoot when you want. But I have goofy gamer brain and use the auto aim and attack. Lol
Omg I'm half asleep still. I just realized you meant lightning in general. Also I would love it if there were skill trees for the weapons cause some of them just cancel out in the current build. I would love it if you could do spells like this(also 100% arm chair dev moment) 1. Lightning only 1 strike but it always target max hp enemy and does the most dmg and has better crit chance than normal lightning. Also the stun aoe is much bigger and visually bigger lightning strike. 2. Basically how it is in the game now lots of random strikes, lower dmg than the other and random targeting but like even more strikes and it charges faster 3. An evolution for the archer would be she shoots out thunder arrows that chain to enemies and does the debuff. If you took the big single one you lose your bonus projectiles but you get dmg boost for each on you lost. Then of the multi one it would add to your projectile count so you have like 8 lightning arrows you shoot out.
For the sake of science, could you max out range on an archer and see if you can shoot and respawn barrels while they are off screen for farming money?
I have and you can hit them. But it seems like it doesn't respawn barrels or they don't get destroyed again IF there is gold under them. I have definitely destroyed some of screen walked over and destroyed the new one and there was more gold but not enough to be like this the way to farm gold. I think the "best" way is after the last boss is dead, there is nothing stopping you from walking around and farming gold other than it being super boring.(I haven't done this but people talk about it on the discord)

Wind helm is probably better, can be constant 40+% weapon speed Vs burn which peaks around 24%
No doubt, wind helm is probably the best helm in the game right now.(from what I have seen) But it didn't fit the theme of fire stuff.
Yo Cody you seem to play a lot of these type of games. Is there anything similar to this that has more content out?
Vampire Surviors is the best one in my opinion. (The GOAT/ the OG) It's been fully released and the dev has made some extra free content and paid dlc for it. If you haven't played it yet it is the best 5 dollar gaming experience out there IMO. Also I have it on steam but I think its on all the consoles and mobile. I also like Rogue Gensia a lot but it is still in early access but it has an actual rogue-like mode. Which makes it very unique. The art style is very 90s JRPG which I love. I have a video or 2 of it in my channel if you want to see game play. Halls of Torment and Yet and other Zombie Surviors are some of the best in the genre but the are both in alpha/demo mode right now. But that means you can play both for free right now on steam.
@@GamingWithCody_ Thanks for your elaborate reply. I will check out some more games. I bought and tried Time Wasters earlier today. I'm at just before the refund amount of playtime. It just doesn't hit the same spot as HoT. The hit sounds in HoT really do a lot for the experience. Also I found out TW has a bit of a weeb vibe going. The meta progression in it is nice though. Idk I'm on the fence about it. Anyway, cheers!

I have heard of time wasters an have it on my wishlist, it having the anime weeb vibe is why I wanted to check it out LOL But yeah HoT is soooo polished compared to most games in the genre. Also alot of them are in EA and have been for over a year with not a lot added. Another good game that I forgot about is 20 minutes till Dawn. Has a great art style but I really suck at it. You have to shoot your weapon so its more skill based than others in the genre.
There is a reason he starts with 0% crit, your damage scales out of control when you start stacking it because he hits so fast

you always lose 1 life when reach lord of pain right? that debuff cant be dodge.
Yes, its a insta death countdown. They have said on the discord the extra revive will not work in the EA version and there will be a "legit" way to do it. Kind of like in vampire surviors I imagine(or it could just be a meta progression unlock)
