  • Found the game dull. The energy limit paired with small hand size felt like my turns were on rails. Sell me on it.

    • Very complicated question/request but I'll do my best! First, the game is kind of niche, you have to like deckbuilders and tactics games. If you don't at least like 1 of them its hard to get into. I love both and this does such a good job of merging the 2 genres. I had 50ish hours in the demo/beta and 16.6 hours in the Early Aces build so far. Lot of different decks and I keep finding new synergies and realizing how badly I evaluated some cards. It does have a weird issue that Beneath Oresa also had that the game is kind of complicated and the game feels weird/hard cause there is so much to pick up but once you get over that first hurdle the game really opens up on how good of a deckbuilder it is. Each character has there own unique card pools and since you pick 2 you get to build 2 decks that need to work together to beat the game. Had all the things I like in a deckbuilder lots of synergies, card upgrades, relics. Game has a cool rune system that isn't an after thought, the right rune or runes can turn a run around or give it some direction. And then sometimes they are just a nice little bonus The small hand size is kind of rough at first so I know what you are talking about there but there are a lot of draw engines you can make each character.(using their card, relics or neutral relics). Also the starter decks are small so its pretty easy to remove/transform them so you deck isn't wasting draws on dead cards. The energy limit is pretty standard for roguelike deck builders at 3, lots of ways to get more but some runs you can/must make the 3 work.(sometimes it more than enough). And last but not least the game is in early access so stuff will change so if you want to wait till its closer to 1.0 so the game is finished, that always a good idea but I personally like the devs and they have been pretty open with their plans and open to feedback that doesn't compromise their vision of the game.( For example some act 3 normal fights were harder than the elites so they got tweaked to not be a death sentence for most runs) I have a few other runs up and several more will be coming so you can see more gameplay aswell if you want. Thanks for the comment and let me know if you have any more questions. -Cody
