  • My girlfriend and I used to dance to this and many other songs from that era. We literally danced all night. We had such great fun. I wish I was young again and could bring back that era. Just a fabulously good time. The young people of today have no clue. By the way, that girlfriend is my wife of over 40 years.

His first show in Hershey was cancelled because of what happened at Three Mile Island…..So glad he came back after things settled down.

    • Most of Billy Joel's most beloved songs weren't the most popular at first. Billy Joel himself said his favorite songs were album tracks. And the same applies to nowadays. They definitely do make excellent music like this now. It just goes unappreciated for a few years or a decade or so before garnering a cult following.

  • I saw him play this live in LA a month ago (as I write this), and he's still got it. It's unreal just how talented this man is, and what an innate, instinctive musical gift he has. He's still incredible live...HIGHLY recommend catching him if he's playing anywhere remotely near you. Absolutely worth it. ❤

  • I am soo happy that I grew up in the 70's and 80's!. We had good music. I am now grateful for the internet for all we have to do is click a button and get to see the singers and hear the songs without having to go turn on our radio record players, ( I still have mine) flip through albums to listen!! Or the cassette players!!

  • I remember as a 10 year old, in the winter of 1977, when I first heard this. It was a revelation to me...that music could move me in an inexplicable way. To this day...this track...moves me like no other ever has. Reminds me of a lost childhood, and my emotions for the little girl who sat across from me, in 5th grade. Her name was Beth...and I can still feel that same emotion for her...all these years later.
