Thanks for the update and committment to fixing these old girls!
Great to see your ambition to save these machines. Wish you all the best with your projects.
Thanks!
Great video. Experience usually is correct. Your passion to save the two machines is awesome. Love your videos.
Your father is a man that loves his son.
Believe me. If I could afford a tea shirt I would buy one. On a fixed income. Love your videos.
Hey, watching us still does wonders. THANK YOU for your support!!
Can't wait to see the next videos
I can’t wait for you to see them
Your the jpaydirt of the north. Nice job keep it up!
Doesn’t he live in like the dakotas? We practically live in Florida compared to him 🤣 But thanks! I know he and I would get along just fine. I would like to have 10% of his knowledge!
there was services that could cut the crank in the engine. see if these people could help you. you have one of my most favorite channels. i wish that you lived next door. if i could help you one particle i would. my best wishes
I didn’t really show it but at the worst spot it measured like 0.100” under. The maximum you can grind these cranks is 0.050”. So it would have to be welded which is expensive and risky or you just find a different crank which is what we will do.
"My dad was right..." I've said that so many times in my life! I should have listened to him more often, but I had to learn the hard way.
Yeah that’s how you learn 🤷🏻♂️
Been waiting for an update
Yeah life is busy with the baby, work, etc. plus these projects are a lot haha.
Great to see you back. Hope your new family member is doing well 😊
Thanks! Growing like a weed he is
Can't wait to see the next videos. The black cap was the give away.
"Why don't you go take a nap or something" classic line 😂
He deserved it…
once you get this loader running again you'll appreciate what you did..I have an old 977 just like this,I know what crawling underneath it is like ;) best of luck
Anything unique / special tricks about the 977 that you've learned over the years / hours ? Maintenance / preventative maintenance and upgrade wise.
lube the radiator fan bearing and the drive shaft (under floorboard-inbetween the transm and the torque conv) regularly..drain water from bottom of fuel tank+change fuel filters both spin on primary and on the bottom of the inj pump theres one-often@@LORFCASTER
I know my father was usually right and enhanced my youthful energy. Good on ya for saving iron that built this country! I'm going over now to buy a shirt! Loyal and dedicated!
Thanks for the support!
Save crusty iron !
I noticed earlier you needed a higher reach and longer. Do you weld well enough to make a tower and pole to fit on the tines of the tractor?
Loader 😎
Put some 1000 or more sandpaper spin it and it's good
Ah the glamourus life of a mechanic😂😂😂
Just ordered my grey T shirt to be sent to the Cornwall
Thanks for the support!!
The black cap was the give away
On the rod?
@@dieseJL yea the rod cap was black look at others they weren’t black if you drop a engine pan and see a black rod cap and others aren’t black that rod bearings Spun causing heat that turns rod cap black like that
Yeah that’s a really good point. Everything was black on that ford 861 I’m working on and it never hit me why.
Well, look at the bright side, atleast now youll know its done right...
You’re assuming I will do it right lol
😃😃
Wrong tool for measuring crank
Question - Why not dig a hole under it? Drag it over a hole? Not so wide as to allow the thing to fall in! Anything extra for clearance is going to be better. Greetings from the end.... Too late for gratuitous advice!
I think it would just fill with water haha
I would stop buying junk while you're ahead it's not worth fixing you're just giving yourself a headache there are plenty of those machines that are running just sitting in fields not being used
cat cranks are hard as in (no grinding option) expensive !
get ready to spend mucho denaro!!!!
