The US Open is the final Grand Slam of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The 2021 US Open saw Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Great Britain's Emma Raducanu claim the men's and women's singles titles. It was both players' first major title, with 18-year-old Raducanu becoming the first-ever qualifier to achieve the feat. The 2022 US Open is scheduled to go ahead from August 23 to September 11.

Djokovic was on fire in 2011.He has had beaten Nadal in 6 finals - Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Rome, Wimbledon and US Open.
2011 and 2015 were his best seasons. 2016 and 2018 were also amazing. 2019 also. Although his 2021 was also exceptional. I mean he was literally always amazing. If there was no COVID, and they didn't kick him out of Australia, who knows what would of happened.
@@ha-qg2ug 2015 was great.Djokovic won 4 Slams in a row - Wimbledon 2015, US Open 2015, Australian Open 2016 and French Open 2016. In 2017 he suffered elbow injury and was close to retire from professional tennis. Djokovic is the epitome of mental and physical toughness.

2011 Djokovic was just insane especially winning this tournament the epic semi final, then this performance in final truly epic.
These two represents the greatest rivalry of men's tennis and we were fortunate enough to be here to live it. My best memories of tennis are during their duels.. The highest level of tennis ever played
2011 nole is the highest level of tennis ever achieved... he annihilated prime big4 in 3/4 majors and went on a forty-match winning streak...
i feel like this was the best djokovic, his forehand and backhand both became less potent after this time period, he also stopped using the backhand down the line as much. 2009-2011 djokovic had that beast mentality he was a warrior

@@ramjeenakka586 2011 Nadal was the same as 2010 Nadal. If 2011 Novak had not been there , Nadal would have won 3 consecutive Grand Slams on 3 different surfaces, as he did in 2010. The difference is that Novak in 2011 rose to an unprecedented level.

I don't get how you can idolize one and hate the other, fanatism block eyes and senses cause we have two wonderful athletes here.
WOW can we appreciate the point with Djokovic down 30-40 3-4 in the third set?? With that much jeering to distract him at second serve and noises during the 20+ rallies point, he won it with a down the line winner. WOW. RESPECT!!!!

Novak Djokovic✈️ the best tennis player in history! Let's go to Wimbledon,Us open and AO! It's a pitty that they didn't let him play on the AO,Nadal can only win the AO when there is no Djokovic!
He was also disqualified from Us Open 2020 and there was no Wimbledon 2020. If he played all those tournaments he would probably have 23 Grand Slams by now. But we also don't know if he would have beaten Rafa if they played against each other on Australian Open 2022. Although, I think Novak would've won.

Lol you’re so dramatic. Rafa also won AO 2009. Djokovic participated. Apparently Rafa can win and has won the AO when Djokovic is there (not to mention AO 2012, 2014 and 2017, when Rafa had excellent chances of winning but was either undone due to bad luck, injury or the opponent winning 1 or 2 more key points).
@@mainemceachern1521 Of course Rafa can win Australian even if Novak is playing. But I don't think Rafa has a high chances of winning Australian Open if he has to play against Novak to win there. Rafa hasn't beaten Djokovic on hard courts since 2013., that's almost 8 years. Whereas Djokovic beat Rafa plenty of timess on clay since 2013., notably on Roland Garros 2021 when he won his 2nd title, and in Roland Garros 2015. So, yeah, Rafa probably wouldn't have won AO 2022 if Djokovic played.

Is it true Nadal got cramps during the press conference following this match? Same as Alcaraz….
Rafa’s 4 main problems against Novak in 2011: 1. Poor court position - Rafa was too far back too often, while Novak hugged the baseline; 2. Rafa’s 2nd serve was too slow and attackable; 3. Rafa didn’t break his topspin forehand to Novak’s backhand pattern in the Ad court often enough (I.e. he didn’t attack enough with his backhand in general and his DTL forehand in particular, his biggest weapon); 4. Once he lost a number of close finals to Novak, Rafa started losing belief he would win. Fascinating that after losing 7 times to Novak between Indian Wells 2011 and AO 2012, Rafa went 6-1 against him from Monte Carlo 2012 to USO 2013.
Not just 2nd serve, his 1st serves were terrible in this match too. Nadal probably never had to worry abt breaking his pattern or court positioning 'cause nobody could consistently cause him trouble from the BH or maintain deep heavy shots rally after rally against his defense before 2011 Djokovic
6:1, with 4 of those on clay. Djokovic went 7 in a row two times against Nadal, once without dropping a single set. And he is yet to lose to him on hard after 10 year. Probably would have whipped him in Wimby right now had Nadal didn't decide to run away like he always does off clay, saving his fake h2h, mostly wins on clay. Since 2011 Nadal defeated Djokovic 2 times on hard courts. Djokovic defeated Nadal 8 times on clay, including 2 times at his favorite FO. Nadal never defeated Djokovic at his best tournament AO. Djokovic had to get deported for the fraud to win this slam after 13 years without the title there. Loser.
he won 6 of the next 10, they were 3-3 in 2013, you just cherry picked it until the 2013 USO to make it seem more dominant than it really was. 2x 7-0 streak, 0-13 vs 2011,2015,2016 Djokovic, never even won a set on clay against him. The story of 2011 is that Djokovics BH was at its peak, he destroyed Nadals forehand, and all his shots were extremely penetrating and deep but also consistent. Cant play against a guy who hits of both wings like that both cross court and down the line.

Rafa's favourite Court is Clay and he is unlucky , because there is only One Clay court out of Four Grandslam courts. Djoko & Fed have Two Hard and One Grass . Yet Rafa Leads Overall. Imagine where Rafa will stand , If it is 2 Clay and 2 Hard courts or Grass out of Four,
The original surface is grass and nole leads 7-2 there. 3 out of 4 slams were originally played on Grass. Now imagine if it stayed like that.

Imagine opposite way , if it was 3 Clay courts, Rafa will Lead with huge difference. Also if we make it Neutral 2 clay and 2 Grass or Hard, still Rafa will Lead with huge difference. Even with one clay court, he leads.
