Which Hoop?
You want to practice flourishes with a light hoop, so it’s not too difficult on the wrists.The hoop I’m using is a 32” or 81cm Dia. Hoop from Sacred Circle Stores (Berlin)

Ideally your hoop should have a bit of weight (but not too much) so using a children’s hoop might be difficult… But not impossible.

I wanna get fast at these. Thank you, no one says how much the pinky helps control the balance. Best wishes to heal your hand fast and that you dont hit it with any hoops ..ouch! Your braver then me, I'm clumsy and would just have to stop for a while lol. Cheers! =)
Thanks! I'm so happy you found it useful! Yeah Flourishes are so satisfying! They also look amazing with LED hoops. It's totally worth the effort. Ha, the hand is all healed now :) Don't worry I didn’t injure it hooping.

Aww yes learning new tricks can be frustrating when it's not happening. Really focus on the first steps and get them super comfortable. Rolling the hoop over the hand and leading with the baby finger. Once that gets super smooth and you don't need to think about it any more, then add some momentum to the action. Also, when I'm getting super frustrated with a trick, I often take a little break and flow through some moves that I know I'm good at. Then return to the trick I'm learning with a fresh mind. 😉

Ha! Well, it was actually my baby finger. I got a massive splinter in there and had to have half of my nail removed. All better now ;)
