  • I don't think people truly understand the magnitude of what just happened yet. When you take Into account points generated, and the efficiency at which they were achieved. Then this is the best individual performance ever filmed. Luka pulled this off on 75/61/93% splits. And had 7 assists on top of the 73 points. This puts his minimum points generated at 87 (all 2's), and his max 94(all 3's). Kobe pulled his 81 point game off on 61/53/90% splits, but he only tacked on 2 assists. Bringing his total points generated to 85/87. The 100 point game from wilt is also incredible. Seeing as 3's weren't recorded. We can only go by his splits from 2 and FT. So those are 57 and 87.5%. He had 2 assists as well. Bringing his total points generated to 104. This game is still the best ever achieved. But it isnt on film. The most efficient 71+ point game before this was Damian Lillards. With 57.8/59/100% splits. And anywhere from 83-89 total points generated. We just saw something far more incredible than it seems on the surface. We are truly witnessing greatness.

    • @Baddknewz and he will. To act like someone with this much talent and skill to pull it off can't figure out defense is sooooo narrow-minded. It's like when people act like jaylen brown can't figure out dribbling. He's verifiably the most intelligent current NBA player. He also has the dexterity. Once he does figure it out. He'll be a menace. If you're a luka hater. (Seems you are) Then trust me. You don't want Luka to get good on defense.

    • This is boring NBA. Celtics score 81 in a half.. no defense league. The NBA only allows it because they wish it was the era of 80s and 90s. When they were popular. Statistics do not lie. They add these horrible in season tournaments, they have to make rules about games played for awards and bonuses. They created a sissy league and viewership is tremendously down because the product is washed. These numbers are not nearly as impressive as 50 in a mens league era. You can argue and say what you want. It is a boring league now and follow the the obvious situation unfolding in front of you. They now believe having non stop 50, 60, 70 point games and first half points will keep people entertained. It isn't. We need rivalries back, hatred, heart, nastiness, and defense. We need no more Primadonna's and more solid overall basketball. The talent is there, but the product is washed.

We're talking 91.2% true shooting, With a 75.8 FG% and 61.5 three point %. In other words, that's a ridiculously efficient +70 pts. As a matter of fact, 75.8 FG% is the highest in NBA history. David Thompson once had a 73 pts with 73.7 FG% (in 1978) To give this more perspective, Embiid recently had 70 pts, with 58.5 FG% , 50.0% from three, 91.3 from the free throw line. But Doncic even surpassed that, he had 93.8% from the free throw. But the craziest part of it all, Doncic only had 33 FG attempts. Embiid had 41

    • no defense, league changed all the rules to promote scoring, not impressed at all...no one even tries to steal the ball anymore, most these players have terrible handle too. Gary Payton wouldve gone nuts in this pathetic league.

  • Congrats Luka on 73. He has always impressed, and he should've went no. 1 in 2018, but he said you know what, give me a 70 burger, a game-winner on the grizzlies, a game winner on the clippers, a bunch of all-stars, all-nba selections, and a western conference finals appearance.

  • Mandatory reminder that a ton of people were ABSOLUTELY SURE he wouldn't be a great player in the NBA and thought that kid from Europe was overrated. Good job, guys. Give me 37 numbers, I'll bet my life savings on the remaining 38th on a Vegas roulette and cash some easy money.
