  • Chad will never get past the fact that those children were buried in his back yard and that he was the one telling Lori her children were "dark" as was her husband Charles and anyone else who got in their way. And his proclaiming them dark meant DEATH. He can never get past that.

    • If Melanie had been involved there would have been no need for Lori to lie to her on that recorded phone call about the locations of the children. Clearly Melanie was totally in the dark (excuse the expression) and is not involved in the murders, although she was pretty sick participating in ceremonies which she believed would result in the death of bodies. Witch-doctoring or praying for someone to die is not nice, but it's not murder

She killed several people before she ever met Chad. (Charles Vallow, Joe Ryan, and there was also a missing girl from Lori's past.) There could have been other victims that are not known. I believe Alex Cox committed suicide by the same poison which caused the death of Charles Vallow. Didn't they both die of "pulmonary embolism"? We already KNOW that Lori was mixing crushed meds in Charles's smoothies. I think she enjoyed the power of it.

  • If he didn't know anything how does he explain asking Melanie to lie to law enforcement about JJ being with her! And when Lori called from jail and the investigators were searching his property and she asked if they were searching the house and he hesitated before he said they are searching the yard outside and then her voice drops to a soft squeaky voice and then she immediately lets him end the call and in a small voice tells him she loves him and he acts distracted and then he tries to leave when they started looking in the area of the pet cemetery. There is no way he didn't at the very least know what happened even if it was after the fact and that he didn't know they were buried on his property and I'm sure he knew Alex was doing all these killings, they were controlling by manipulation her brother who seemed not to be the sharpest crayon in the box and it was very satisfying to hear he realized that they were trying to set him up to be their fall guy and actually said so to his wife the night before he died.

And if anyone comes to us teaching a different Jesus not to listen. Paul said if he preached a different Jesus not to listen. If an angel came to us preaching a different Jesus not to listen. No man injects himself into the Bible and starts a religion.

  • I wonder why Prior never asked her how she knew that Lori was getting specific information from Chad rather than from any other source. It might have been as simple as Lori saying "Chad told me" every time she relayed the information, but I never heard the question asked so who knows. Edit: On redirect the state went into this a bit and established that Melanie would sometimes be with Lori while Lori was on the phone with Chad. And then after Lori would get off of the phone with Chad she would tell Melanie about what she and Chad had been discussing. So it did get established somewhat how Melanie knew or at least had reason to believe that certain information was given to Lori by Chad.

    • I've been thinking the same thing. Lorie may have been making it out like it was Chad in order to be more believable, but she could have been planting the thoughts in his head too and then making it sound to Melanie like he was the originator of the idea. It seems like only her family members, except for Tammy, became dark according to what Lorie was spreading around. And Melanie although she spent time with Chad wasn't hearing him saying these things to her. Strange.
