@zombievikinggaming4258 Жыл бұрын
Yeah all the problems with VAR are not because of the tech itself - you can't make worse decisions by having more information - but the inconsistent interpretation and application of rules and so on thereafter. The ref bodies really need to work through the examples and decide what's going to be what. If they iron those inconsistencies out it will be miles fairer.

There was Vedran Corluka, Gallas, Essou ekottu, and Dawson. Michael Dawson was club captain at that time. Corluka was a signed with modric. The Croatian pair. Gallas left Arsenal. Essou ekkotu replaced Bale because bale was out of touch as a left back at that time, he mostly was 16/17 at that time had tendencies to play aattacking football, but wasn't defending at all. It was after Danny rose, I believe they promoted Bale from a left back to a left winger and bale became what he was a couple of years back. The back line was so tough at that time. When man city raided clubs they also bought a couple of players from here as well.

Milan defenders just tucked themselves under Crouch in every header situation and pulled a foul. Referees 100% should've picked that up and stop giving the foul. What could Crouch do there? Every time he jumps someone backs into him leaning over so he falls over them, that's just stupid. Great highlights and editing I really enjoyed the video even though the referees nearly made the actual match a farce.
@Aki-rh3bn11 ай бұрын
Its the tall person problem. I have had duels against players half my size. You cant get your leg up or its to high. Jump for a header and hour hip hits a players head and foul again. Peter Crouch was the most underrated player. He was the perfect target man. He would control and lay off the ball. His passing was excellent, and of course his aerial ability was second to none. Unfortunately European referees did not know what to make of him, and while he was usually being fouled during aerial duels, they gave the foul against him.

Sensational headlines. I'm still looking for the destruction
Can we just admire Thiago Silva and him playing in so many generations of top tier football
Modric also
True legends of the game
He scored today for Chelsea 4-4 against Spurs
Gattuso knew exactly what he was doing all through this. Insane that he wasn't booked for the Joe Jordan hand off to the face. Could've had quite a few yellows!

“Destroyed” 😂 He did good He was always an interesting challenge for defenders
If there was a proper ref his impact would've been felt more. They couldn't handle him, fouled him constantly and won fouls for nothing when he fairly challenged.

Crouch going for a header and flopping over a defender who looks half his height is almost iconic Crouch.
You know, from a defenders perspective at least Crouch is light. If he were his size and a more moderate build so he was like 190lb (~90kg) he would really be able to hurt people, which I dont really think is something he wanted to do.
Peter Crouch is seemingly a nice and friendly person, but he is no pushover on the field.
He's that friendly pro bloke that doesnt even hesitate to smile and cheer you up after blowing a hole in your net with bycicle kick
@@Dz73zxxx Crouch is actually so nice, friendly and reassuring that he could convince an opposition defender to feel ok about conceding 4 or 5 goals against him because of how well they did at defending against him before his sheer brilliance at scoring goals proved too much for them to withstand any longer lol! 🤣😁😜
notice that the milan goalkeeper went ahead to intercept the ball before crouch. they already knew that the big guy was a lot of work.
Crouch, when asked if he hadn't become a footballer, what would he be, sincerely and honestly responded: *_"a virgin"._* Best. Reply. Ever! 🤣😂👍
I understand VAR is not everyone favourite thing and it is wrong sometimes but games like this would have been so different and so much fairer with it
VAR is not wrong sometimes. wtf you drink cow urine or what?
Not really since they just ignore and don't go to VAR at times. Match rigging hasn't stopped.
@@zombievikinggaming4258 but your point just proved the original point correct....

Few notable things here, 1. Flamini should have been off the pitch several times over 2. Big Crouchy is such an underrated player. Impossible to deal with his height 3. Joe Jordan in his prime would have beat Gattuso within an inch of his life. An absolute savage. Not to be fucked with at all.
Bullshit. Always Brits hyping themselves up. Joe Jordan was a mouse.

Van der Vaart and Modric were epic
I have watched Luca at every club he has ever been, he has always been world class
Yes
This was one of my favourite premier league teams to watch as a neutral. Crouch, Defoe, van der Vaart, Modric, Bale, Kaboul, Pavlyuchenko, Lennon
What I have noticed about Peter Crouch is that he is loved by everybody - no matter what club he played for you cannot help but love him. What a player, what a fucking legend of the game
Gattuso was lucky to be on the pitch after half time
As was Dawson for that disgusting elbow, ref didn't favour Milan, jsut was terrible as a whole. Same as with the infamous Chelsea - Barcelona game.
Ppl may have forgot but Gattuso was made from the same cloth that is Pepe from Real Madrid. Sub par defensive skill, massive ego and big temper. What he lacked in technicalities, skills he made up with aggression. A big baby who threw temper tantrum every single time.
He was lucky he was still conscious after grabbing big Joe like that.
@@nirotpal3yeah gattuso is an absolutely average player who would not survive football with VAR. But Pepe was really good though
All the spurs fans are ignoring what Joe Jordan said that Gattuso heard perfectly and reacted to. Also don't forget Joe played for Milan in the mid 80's but never would have even made the team of the late 80's early 90's....Good player and still fondly remembered by older Milan fans for what he did for Milan back then and not this game.
Both teams could've and should've had a couple penalties. Crouch received so much bias against him from refs for being tall and awkward looking, even though he wasmt fouling people.

Milan couldn't cope with him... A lot of teams couldn't. He was very individual as a player. His stats are great too. Even with England.

robinho should've scored 3 goals
Gomes had their back
There was Vedran Corluka, Gallas, Essou ekottu, and Dawson.
Its the tall person problem. I have had duels against players half my size. You cant get your leg up or its to high. Jump for a header and hour hip hits a players head and foul again. You jump higher than a goalie and win the ball but hit the gk foul. There is to much advantage for a smaller player where it shouldnt

I remember thinking "why the fuck are we playing Crouch in this" (he was our 3rd striker at the time) and then us just lumping long crosses up to him. He won them aerially every time, the Milan defence were not ready and had no fucking idea what to do about him. Scared the life out of them. Masterstroke from Redknapp

Essou ekottu on the left back, The Goal keeper I believe was Hurelho gomes. The manager on the other hand was a such a tactician at that time. Harry Redknapp. Man this team was delight to watch.
The title should have been the night Gattuso committed war crimes while ac Milan declared war on the spurs marching into Milan
If there VAR 2 teams will gets 2 reds card every match, but 2 goalkeeper very good
Irony is, Jordan would have made mincemeat of the temperamental Gattuso off the pitch on a one to one.
Gattuso totally volatile but he was like Zlatan Ibrahimović skilled but the shortest fuse they would play wind up or go dirty off camera just for the reaction sometimes but that era would not have been the same without them all good or bad it made some intense matches i feel lucky to have watched.
