Qatar 2022 is at the and of this year. So I decided to create a compilation about the most iconic moments in the history of the World Cup. These moments are the most memorable from all of the World Cups there've been held over the years. We all remember the headbutt from Zidane in 2006. Which is one of the most iconic moments in football's history. This video is about such moments. Hopefully you enjoyed this video.

@@ars5134 Haha you need to learn some basic internet slang, u and ure are meant to replace you and you're, you can't even use that as an excuse because it's just a shorter way of saying those words, it's like if u complain when someone says "lol" instead of laughing out loud, you have no argument it's just a shorter way of typing on the internet so as to save time... you'd be horrible in a debate
Suarez holding his teeth in AGONY is the funniest thing ever

That 7-1 humiliation was something else
Baggio miss is the most iconic moment ever. His desolation after the kick must be unparalleled.

yeah, and the semi final (GER vs. BRA) was the better than the final. The world ist talking about this match and not the final. :D
@@endless9235 The final was good though
@@danielvalenzuela9890 yeah i agree absolutly. But the semi final was awesome, and i never forget this match. The final was a tryhard match i think. many fouls etc.
@@endless9235 no it wasn't, Germany crushed Brazil
Semifinal is remembered mostly as a meme. The final had plenty of WC history moments like Higuain and Messi's missed goals and the title won in overtime.
Most of these moments in the video are in modern football times(after 1990). But there are still many memorable moments in the World Cup. Such as England controversial goals against W. Germany in World Cup 1966 final, the Cryuff turn(against Sweden in WC 74), amazing goal by Arie Haan(WC 78 against Italy), amazing team work goal by Brazil in WC 70(scored by Carlos Alberto), and still many I guess.
Cameroon's victory over Argentina in the opening game 1990.
The "Miracle of Bern" 1954.
@@nedflanders8317 "Game of the Century" 1970 WC semi final between Italy vs W. Germany.
1982 was an underrated tournament. Austria vs Germany, this was before the final group games were played simultaneously. I think Algeria needed Germany to beat Austria to go through and become the first ever African nation in a World Cup knockout stage but they played out a boring 0-0 draw to ensure that they both went through. France’s Batiston getting knocked out cold by W. Germany’s goalkeeper Schumacher, then not receiving any punishment whatsoever. The Brazil of that year are considered along with the Hungarian team of 1954 to be the best team to not win the World Cup with players like Socrates, Zico & Falcao. Italy vs Brazil in the quarter finals is widely still considered to be one of the greatest games of football ever played. Paolo Rossi being an absolute magician, Dino Zoff’s heroics, Norman Whiteside of Northern Ireland becoming the youngest player to ever play in a World Cup, the controversy with the Kuwait national team, New Zealand making their World Cup debut, Hungary beating El Salvador 10-1. It had a ridiculous amount of memories and moments but got left out of this video.
Uruguay's victory over Brazil in Maracaná (1950) is for sure one of the top 3 most iconic moments in football history
2014 is probably the best World Cup, Robben’s dive, Van Persie’s Flying Dutchman, James’ left foot volley, the Brazilian Massacre, Gotze’s game winner, Klose cementing himself as the greatest World Cup goal scorer. It had everything. Side Note: It still baffles me that Nigel de Jong caving in Xabi Alonso’s chest only got a yellow…
nah that’s title now goes to the 2022 world cup
@@user-sd2gv8vz8f only because Messi won. If he didn’t you would probably say it was a mid wc

I remember watching Zidane's headbutt live when I was a kid. I loved him, and always thought that was a shitty way for his career with the French national team to end.
Materazzi had it coming.
I call it the "Head Butt of Justice".
To this day, I cannot believe that De Jong got away with a yellow card.
As a Dutchman: He deserved a dark red card for that
The ref said in an interview that he was told to keep the game open as much as possible so he wanted to give no red cards but he made some terrible calls because of that
but at the same time you don't wanna ruin a final with a red card. With 10 v 11 and Spain's boring passing game, it'd have been a shitty final like barca arsenal in 06.
@@Diabepis Sure but still there has to be a limit. Like this just was a red card, there is no way how you could put a foul like that in any other light.

@@paccco5491 I agree re. this video, and I'm not sure about YT, but back when TV was the dominant medium, Tardelli's celebration was always shown. With Baggio, his whole tournament was iconic (in the UK, I once watched a show on which the host was trying to summarise every WC tournament ever played, using just 1 or 2 sentences for each. '94 was, I think "It was far too hot and an Italian had a ponytail"). It's just the penalty miss was the last part of that tournament , and lost the match and the cup.
