  • 5:45 "Pilatus" is not the type of the plane, it's the manufacturer Pilatus Werke Switzerland. (Yes, this planes are actually made in switzerland!) Pilatus has some different plane models, this seems to be the PC-12. They've got also a new and awesome JET plane, called PC-24. If I was rich and needed to choose a plane, the PC24 would be it. It's got a lot of needful features like a cargo-door or the ability to start and land on natural runways less than 1km long. So You can use many small airports, wich are normally NOT made for jet planes.

    @SH1974@SH19745 жыл бұрын
    • Hi there. I didn't imply that Pilatus was a type of a plane. I meant that the first ever Pilatus PC-12 flew in 1991 and this modern model PC-12 NG (new generation) is based on that original plane. And yes, it is indeed manufactured in Switzerland. Hope this clears things up

    • Good day. While knots do not equal land miles per hour, they equal nautical mph, so I chose to use a more comprehensive unit for the wider public, though admittedly didn't specify that it was nautical. My bad. What do you think about the list?

    • Knots equal to nautical miles per hour. I just don't want to use the term that could be confusing to the majority of the viewers

      @automotiveterritory@automotiveterritory5 жыл бұрын
    • And in the process, you made it MORE confusing. If you want to use a familiar term (MPH) then quote the speed in statute MPH and everyone will be on the same page as MPH typically uses statute miles rather than knots. To say MPH and quote the speed in knots confuses everybody.

    @Sailor376also@Sailor376also5 жыл бұрын
    • Good day. In the narration I used nautical miles per hour for speed, and displayed knots on the screen. 1 nmph=1 knot. I didn't want to use an unfamiliar term "knots" for the audience not to get confused, and left knots on the screen for the experts. But I do realize my mistake that I should have just used statute miles in the narration. Thanks for the feedback

    • Got it. But, my considered opinion is,, don't dumb it down. Those that know will understand, those that don't are of two types, those that will never know,, and those that are learning. Of all of these,, the old hands,, the won't ever know,,vs,,,,, those that are learning, and want to learn,, these are the most important. Give them the straight stuff.

  • Ok, good video, nothing really new to me tho, but, next time you do a video, get your info correct....knots, KNOTS...not MPH....big difference.... don't know why you put the Stratos in here, prototype flew in 2016 and still is not type certified... they have no money... they have priced these at $3-3.5 million each and a program cost of at least $200 million, which they don't have....as of 2020, their website shows a716-certified, but all info is future-tense, which usually means it does not exist yet.... their 716x is a 'prequalified' buyer's kit aircraft, and according to their website they are only offering 3 kits, but have only sold 1... if after 12yrs, company announced in 2008, you haven't made it into actual production, then you'd be doomed to fail... and Stratos will probably fail....
