I think the SCP organization is such an interesting and creative idea. I love how there are monsters that aren't like "roar im dangerous and theres nothing to stop me idiot" instead, there are actually people to help prevent them which is why the SCP fandom is one of my favourite fandoms there is

Thing is, it's so diverse in characters and stories that literally anything you can think of can probably be an SCP. The amount of different characteristics and powers from SCP to SCP is very unique and diverse, so when people note that they just think it's big monsters I just tell them to read more.

Harry Bushell Honestly It could be a really cool series. There is A LOT of lore and interviews and events with the scps which could give the series a lot of content to work with.
For years people have been making short films and there is even a simple indie game about this. I don't see why this isn't bigger
Primarily due to the fact that all the SCPs are under the creative commons license. This makes it harder to use them for something like a netflix show. On top of that, some SCPs (notably 173) use the likeness of something which is copyrighted, which you would need to get the rights to in order to make money off of it.
....it would be a mess to condense the whole SCP universe into a tv series. But yes, sounds like a great idea

At first I thought the SCP foundation was an actual thing that people believed in life UFOs that had no actual evidence(though it still creeped me out). Then I watched this and realized: "Oh, it's not some weird flat earth scam/terrifying real thing that will kill me, it's actually just really neat fiction."
That's what the foundation wants you to think
TL;DR The SCP Foundation has multiple in-universe explanations for how it could/could've been real The website itself is actually an SCP. It isn't supposed to exist since all of this information is supposed to be highly classified even to the Foundation's personnel. However, whenever the Foundation attempts to take down the website, it somehow comes back a few seconds later and whatever exploit the Foundation used to take it down is now fixed. Due to the speed of it, the Foundation has deemed that it isn't run by humans and that it can't be contained. Therefore, their solution was to edit the articles within the website (The real website does allow for the editing of articles to fix spelling and plot mistakes) so as to make them seem more fictional. The article is SCP-101 FR The article will be in French as that's the website that's getting all of the information from the Foundation. Every other website supposedly just translates their articles from the French one. On the bottom left of the article, you'll see an option to select your language while remaining on the page, select International if you want to read it in English. There's multiple other SCPs that supposedly explain how the Foundation could actually be real or have been real in the past. One of them is SCP-001 (There's multiple 001s, this one is known as Good Boy), wherein the Foundation created a supercomputer that neutralized every single other SCP before neutralizing the Foundation and itself, therefore leaving our reality completely non-anomalous. It explains that the SCP website is just the remnants of the old Foundation, converted into a wiki by someone to ease navigations of their archives.

The best advice I've ever received in regard to understanding the SCP universe/multiverse/whateververse is to approach it as if everything's cannon and nothing's cannon: SCP just is. Once I wrapped my mind around that concept, I was able to immerse myself with far less confusion, and consequently, far more enjoyment.

Since im new to the SCP universe and have indeed stumbled across it, this is really helpfull. This universe is great because it engages your imagination. Since mine has always been very active, the videos are amazing to listen to. I never watch them. It makes it much more vivid. Thank you all writers, script adapters, voice actors and video uploaders. This has been the most expansive exploration of a universe I have experienced since the legendarium of Tolkien

I've made a few spinning logos myself, the problem is that the animation starts and ends with the same frame, so when it is looped you get both frames back-to-back. It takes a bit of skill to recognize the problem at first, but it can be fixed easily

I was startled, unsure what to say. I gave her a brief explanation of what it was, what it's all about, and what my T-shirt entailed. She seemed entertained.

Nah, Netflix would just ruin it. I'd rather see a community project by the SCP Community to make a series about a certain SCP or a collection of SCP's.
A Netflix series would be fucking awesome, but there's no way it could happen really, collabritave fiction like this and the legal hell of making a tv show or movie do not mix well, many people would get screwed out of good money (and likely rights to their SCP's and other original concepts they came up with.) and the "chosen few" would rake it all in

My personal headcanon is that SCP-001 is an anomaly that simultaneously is and isn't everything people assume it to be, while actively suppressing the realization of this fact in everyone who thinks about it, convincing them that it must be a single thing the know or have imagined it to be, hence the many different SCP-001 articles. From this train of thought comes the interesting possibility, that all SCPs are actually incarnations of SCP-001 and all the stuff ever encountered by the Foundation are all from a single universal anomalous origin.

That's technically the case with the "The spiral path" proposal he mentioned. Except in that one the realization isn't subconsciously hindered.
My knowledge to SCP-001 is that its called "The Factory", the SCP foundation was started and built around this mysterious factory that was killing people and making anomalies,, this is a super fast explanation theres a video by "The Rubber" on it, anyway, this thing was killing people so the first 05's started the foundation, then established D-Class as sacrifices so the factory would stop killing random scientists that were studying the factory. but this is all a very unpopular opinion.(sorry if im ranting just wanted ti share my opinion :D)
Bruh, when I first learnt about 001 I just thought it was canonically the first SCP to be discovered. I really didn't know it's lore would go so deep.
when I first read "when day Breaks" I was creeped out for days.
To be honest, it's my favorite 001 proposal, I also love the """subtle""" horror in the sense that the creatures are not all that inicially disturbing compared to other scps but the more you think about the implications of their capabilities, like literally taking you back from death, it gets way darker

When Day Breaks is definitely my favorite SCP-001 proposal but in-universe it would be the least convincing of the "decoy 001's". Someone in-universe breaking into the files can look outside and see that it hasn't happened.
There's a lot of new terminology in the later series and I don't know what all those new classifications mean. It would be amazing to see an update after 5 years.

@@samuelandrea7448 Apollyon is defined as something can literally not be contained, and will eventually kill all life on Earth. Keter is hard to contain, but the Foundation can usually contain Keters through sophisticated means. Apollyon is your 100% dead, can you contain the sun?
This was super useful I've been diving in and out of the SCP Foundation for about a year now and have been interested in making my own SCP and feel much more prepared to do so

RomaInvicta a cool scp about a box with a portal inside to a land with dragons that present as paper or origami when in our world. There was a conflict, and the dragons stopped appearing; the box became neutralized without any intervention from the foundation.

Man, my absolute favorite example of a Safe SCP is the 11 minute snooze. SCP 498. If left alone, it would eventually destroy the entire planet, its alarm being so loud that it would interrupt the atomic bonds of the molecules around it, literally shaking the earth apart. Fortunately its super easy to contain. Just press its snooze button every 11 minutes

It's a bunch of creepy pasta strung together with arbitrary laws, rules, and history. That's pretty much it. People really put their heart into this stuff stop being rude people take 100s if hours on taking notes about all of the SCPs, real or not it’s still a very interesting concept to understand
I have major OCD and sense learning about this the only thing I've wanted to do is write a giant file/collection with all the SCP's and all the associated jargon, background, and most importantly people and information.
The roadblock is that so many people have so many different versions of the SCP universe and I can't decide on which one to except as the real one.

This is funny. i never saw this when i was introduced to this last year. I drove from Texas to oregon and literally just listened to SCP the ENTIRE time. i was hooked and i gained so much understanding from the context of hours of audio.
