Becoming a professional boxer is not as difficult as some people may think, but I will say it is difficult to become a successful pro boxer. In this video, I speak about how I got my first professional boxing match, my training regimen leading up to the fight, as well as some of the business details such as how much I made from the fight.
I hope you find this useful and if you have any questions feel free to drop them in the comments below.

  • This video is a huge inspiration, there’s a lot great fighters that start boxing at a later age and you know not every body has the same path. You see very young fighters that fight since their 10 and you got great father a son duos and then you got guys like us that try to grind hard af. It’s never too late🔥

Im in shanghai and ran into this gym run by one of the most winningest women's champion in Michele Aboro, now im on the path of becoming a coach and teacher. • This is a great video for any aspiring boxer regardless of age. Even if you're not looking to be a world champion, it costs a lot of money to actually have a pro fight and it's not as easy as it seems. Being around a gym for a long time and training with professionals it seemed like not just a passion but a full time job, with plenty of overtime when it came time to sell tickets last minute while cutting weight. Plenty of fighters have a lot of talent but cannot afford to be the A-side or fail to receive the notoriety needed to attract management to keep them undefeated long enough to get linked with a promoter. It definitely takes a lot of guys and resilience to go through with a pro bout, especially after all the time off, kudos to you Kenyon!

    @teqdigest@teqdigest3 ай бұрын
    • Well said for real! I think a lot of people believe that you can just get a certain amount of amateur fights, turn pro, and start making money and it just is not that simple. With the 14 years of being around the sport I've seen some of the most talented guys end up with bad pro careers because they were not moved right due to money and rushing the process. Thank you for commenting and tuning. Truly appreciate it.

  • Great video. I started boxing 5 months ago, and my goal is to compete professionally and become the best version of myself. I find your videos relatable as I am starting late (26 years old). Right now my eyes are on an amateur license. I will follow your advice on the other video with regards to accumulating as many amateur fights as possible, so that I have the adequate amount of experience and knowledge to deal with the wide range of different situations that come with boxing. I know it is hard to accomplish this but, I will accomplish it.

  • I ran track and played football mainly in my younger/high school days. I’m 26 right now with two babies and I train everyday and even train to box. But this year in enrolled at TKO because I want my kids to see what hard work can do, so I want an amateur belt or trophy under my name just for them. I started at TKO Tuesday, Jan 9th, and been there putting in work everyday since. You gave me some motivation to disregard my age and keep chasing my goal but at the same time respecting the process. Hope to see you in there bruh🙏🏼

    @losdinero_@losdinero_4 ай бұрын
    • Thats a good goal. I fought my first pro fight so that I can show my kids that you should not give up on what you are passionate about easily. We will definitely cross paths one of these day.

I am more calm and collected. I would like to have some amateur fights to see what the ring is about. Anyways, great content man, keep up!
