  • Consistency and dedication is key, i started boxing 5 months ago, i have not missed a day and i train like i have a fight, we spar with many other gyms 2-3 times a week and i always beat up on guys that have been boxing for 3 plus years sometimes 8 years, its not because im so much more talented than they are its because they are on and off, their lack of dedication and consistency is their downfall, i have surpassed so many of my teammates just by training hard, my advice is, if you really want to box, be all in, or dont be in it at all.

My old gym was only 100 bucks and it was run by Steve Cunningham guy who dropped Tyson fury before and it had a full weight room with treadmills etc, jump ropes speed bag double end bag u name it nice equipment too. My Current gym also run by a legit former pro with the same stuff and a sauna only 100 too. If that’s the only gym in your area I feel bad asf because they are greedy scumbags.

I do plan on going pro in a couple years I'm 32 now but i just need to get more consistent with working out and hard to get to the gym without a car. What are things i can buy for at home to maximize my workouts until I'm able to get to the gym. I was consistent for a year and then dropped off. Could I do more calisthenics than weights and be good? I shadow box everywhere randomly, envisioning different opponents, different scenarios and foot work. Also, instead of road work, couldn't I do VR cardio instead?

  • What advice would you give to someone who started boxing at 16 and takes it very seriously. I dropped out of school to persue a career as a pro boxer so I train 2 to 3 times per day but the country I am in does not have the best amateur boxing scene (we have nationals but it’s at a way lower level than nationals in America) I am however surrounded by other professionals in my gym that I always spar including a former world champion. Do you think it is possible to be a international high level pro without a crazy amateur background? I feel like I was made for this sport and I can make it but I just wanna see if u got any advice for me

    • You need to run a lot. Your cardio needs to be top tier. Run like 4-5 miles a day, and do like a long run for like 8-9 miles every two weeks. Make sure you’re still eating right and still lifting so you don’t sacrifice your strength for the conditioning. You will be able to will yourself to stay in a fight no matter how good your opponent is. Running for long distances also makes your chin/tolerance for punches to the head better.

    • At 16 you have so much time to develop and mature bro! Take your time stay dedicated and disciplined, just don't burn out. Have you ever asked the former world champions in your gym how they did, what steps you should take, and if you are made for the sport they should see it as well and try to connect you with people? Definitely keep going though bro! You can do anything you put your mind to no BS!

Since my college days, I've been immersed in the world of boxing, having joined the boxing club, and it has evolved into a cherished hobby. I was wondering if I could have your permission to use this video and provide Chinese subtitles for it. The intention is to share it on my channel, extending its reach to my friends and the Chinese audience. I'm convinced that these valuable insights will not only benefit us but also resonate well with a broader audience. Your generosity in sharing this knowledge is highly appreciated. Thank you!

  • Wanna know what´s wrong with boxing and all combat sport today? The stress on social media. This video lists "healthy lifestyle" as an important point AFTER social media, like it´s more important how you look and the way you are perceived than actually laying the ground for being a successful fighter. Half of this video is devoted to that crap

    @73kimura@73kimura3 ай бұрын
    • They are all important. Being honest you sound bitter. Like everything in this world social media has its good and bad sides to it. The good sides of social media can help provide a fighter with the means to live a healthier lifestyle and spend more time on boxing. Learn to be open-minded and stop only looking at the negatives.

Even if you are just fighting on local club shows, I know fighters most have never heard that make $25,000 - $35,000 because of ticket sales and sponsors. Everyones journey is different and some may face what you have, but some may not.
