Ya man I agree. I feel for programs like Kentucky, duke, North Carolina and Kansas and even these days you can throw Gonzaga in there….too many players are one and done its fucking frustrating should be at least two years, “2 and through!”

@@kyleallen1858It's how Kentucky is able to get talent though. Players don't care about the history of the Program. They are self-interested in fulfilling their basketball motives and goals---NBA. Kentucky supporters may think you'll still get top talent but not without putting them into the NBA Draft Lottery. They'll go elsewhere.
@@kyleallen1858 , it wouldn't matter if the players stayed at UK for 2-3 years, Cal can't coach. In this game, the Zags ran the same post play for 12 minutes straight and Cal could not think of a way to stop it. How is it that a HOF coach cannot think on his feet?
Cal is like a kid in a candy shop when recruiting. He wants it ALL! But too many talented freshmen mean not enough seasoned veterans who can handle clutch situations and DO play defense. So take a few 3-star guys who will play with heart for 3 or 4 seasons and are NOT obsessed with the NBA! Those guys are the heart and soul of a real team anyway.
The officiating was horrendous and one sided all favoring Kentucky and STILL the better team won! Go Zags!

KY home cooks teams all the time in Rupp. They used to host the UKIT University of Kentucky Invitational Tournament some years back to beat up on poor patsy teams to bolster their number of wins so they would be an automatic lock in the NCAA Tournament. That all ended when Joe B. Hall retired as head coach. Also, now days there are more talented players being recruited by the growing power conferences like the Big 12, the ACC, the Big East etc. They are overshadowing the SEC dominance that once was King in College Basketball. The Big Ten is also rising Again and soon Indiana and Ohio State will shine again at the Big Dance. But for now the Big 12 is showing everybody up! UCLA will rise again with coach Cronin at the Helm sooner than later he's an intelligent rising young coach.

Worried about stromer. Sharp shooter that has the yips. Couple of ugly turnovers also, dribbling right into pressure. Don't think he hit a shot and airballed his first. Need to extend his minutes in the Lmu/San Fran games and try to get him hitting. Without him sucking up some reserve minutes few has gone to a 7 man rotation and one guy in foul trouble is going to blow that out of the water.

That last personal foul on Ike was so ridiculous. Not only did that take Ike out of the game but it gave UK 2 free throws. Those officials should be graded a freakin big fat 0. Because they sucked!

Watson is a stud. He is going to light up this year's tournament. I have Kentucky going to the Final Four though. I think they finally hit their stride.
I’m SHOCKED that Gonzaga won this game but glad they did. Been the roughest Gonzaga team to watch in the couple decades. Just missing a piece or two…they’ll be a lot better when Steele venters returns! Also, I feel for this team because the zags have made 5 straight elite 8s and 8 straight sweet 16s and this might be the team that breaks that streak as well as the almost 30 years of being in the big dance 😢! Either way HUGE win ! For a team that everyone makes fun of and says they play in a Mickey Mouse league, just shows you this program is no joke but they keep hatin anyways

I don’t know. I feel like Ben Gregg is better than Venters as an all around player. Gregg plays with a lot of heart and passion. Best thing Few did was swap Stromer for Gregg. Not sure why Stromer got the call over Gregg to start the season.

I’ve been watching Kentucky closer than usual this year. All their losses are due to poor coaching. They have the talent to do far better.
Cal is a lazy coach. He don't care about winning anymore. Thats what signing a life time contract will get you.

John C did not tell #15 to shoot 30 ft 3 pointer when Kentucky was up by 5 and ball . There was no pass and two dribbles and shot
Kentucky Guards was driving by Gonzaga Guards in second half and you draw up loop for 6ft 6 player . What was crazy on that play the pick player was not in right place to try and throw that loop pass # 15 needs to learn to stay on feet .

Our 7 footers are lazy and afraid to mix it up with the other bigs. Do we have a coach who can teach defense? If you play man to man, you stay on your man. I thought big Z, coming from overseas would be a beast, looks like a scared little boy out there. Reed, if you get drafted, take the money and leave this clown show behind.

Editing out 2 late homer calls at the end of the game Does Not Make Them Go Away CBS. The way the TV crew wouldn't comment on those calls, live, was cowardly. Another preview of Horrific Tournament Officiating to come that NCAA and carrier CBS will not address, or even Attempt to improve. Fouling out Ike on a pass he had every right to go after (not to mention the ball was basically thrown straight out of bounds, turnover) was bad enough, and the rake across Nembhard's arm called a jump ball? Even worse. Watching NCAA basketball could vastly improve with more professionalism from game officials, but first the issue needs to be openly addressed before it can be fixed.
Did Gonzaga win or is CBS Sports just practicing their pronunciation skills for the next 25 years?

They are solid but lack depth due to departures and a preseason injury to their best shooter. No big wins till now cuz teams like UCLA and Syracuse who the Zags beat have under performed

There’s no defense inside the paint, big men must step up. They scramble on defense also. Big Z is good on offense but he needs to improve on defense especially in the post. I love Kentucky basketball but they need to improve now or never.

Calipari and UK have their swagger back! What happened and in Rupp Arena? Big Blue and their fans are all ready to Fire The Coach For Life! He lined his pockets with their money and is still losing. His Magic has run out and oh the belly aching and crying, the excuses about our defense is just not suffocating anymore. We can't get our recipes of home cooking straight! Our kitchen is smelling foul! Time for another renovation of Rupp Arena, another new floor, new players, new towels, new banners. We need a team meeting too! Oh Boo hoo! Where is Ashley Judd? Our cheerleader has disappeared! Oh the pain, the shame. We have 7 losses now, that's unacceptable. Last year we had 12 losses! Calipari needs more money than the $36 million dollars the boosters, sponsors and cronies give him. Well, inflation has hit the program with all of the lost revenues, kickbacks. But, we're such a new and young team this season. Tashewe and all our veterans left for the NBA again. Our youthfulness is surfacing at the wrong time. We should be #1 but all the practices, hard work and sweat has tired us out. We are gassed, frustrated and disappointed. We must strike up the band with On On UK before the fans jump off the bandwagon and the wheels really fall off. The money has dried up and Calipari might be removed kicking and screaming! No bonuses and new kickbacks oh dratt! The Cat is out of the bag! I'm finished, the dribble drive is dead and our defense stinks. Time to clean house in Lexington and hire a cheaper new young coach who has that fire in his belly to win every game no matter what! Rob, rape, steal, cheat, extort, buy, and to get our swagger back. We need revenue from the new sports betting parlors, casinos, the mob, whatever it takes to win before our image is tarnished for eternity. Can someone tell me why these 2 teams played today? Outside of conference play?? Is this a make up game?
They have a 6 year deal if your not a zags or Kentucky fan than you don’t know. Kentucky went to Spokane and played the zags last year in February. 4 more years of it also a couple of neutral sites also
And the reason it’s out of conference play is I think it’s to make up for the SEC BIG 12 challenge which they didn’t do
