Magnuson TVS1900 Supercharger Install - Jeep JL Wrangler, Jeep JT Gladiator
We head over to DCD Customs in Chatsworth, Ca. as they install our all-new, fully redesigned Jeep 3.6L V6 supercharger system is designed exclusively for 2018+ Wrangler (JL) and Gladiator (JT) vehicles.
Magnuson’s engineers have created a truly remarkable product by carefully matching a TVS1900 supercharger to operate in its peak thermal efficiency zone for almost the entire engine duty cycle. The result is super low inlet air temps for massive gains in horsepower and torque, producing V8 levels of performance at an extremely affordable price.
In stock trim with no other system modifications, this kit provides an AMAZING 440hp AND 380 ft-lbs OF TORQUE at the crank, equivalent to ~372 REAR WHEEL HP. That’s an incredible 59% more power than the stock V6!
Getting my Magnuson Supercharger installed at TE Motorsports cant wait to get it back
Are they California based?
Nice - I think I'll be dropping one of these on a new '21 Jeep
This mechanic is outstanding
Badass! I definitely need one for my JT!
Let us know when you're ready!
@@magnusonsuperchargers8285 are there local installers for your kit in Sacramento, CA area?
@@magnusonsuperchargers8285 and the kit is carb certified? I have a 2018 Wrangler Rubicon JLUR, regular 3.6L, auto tranny.
Does the A/C performance diminish at all having the intercooler in front of the condenser now?
Nice work! Our video coming really soon on this install and review.
We're looking forward to it!
Just 1 question... how much does it cost for the installation??
Does the set up in this JL look exactly like the set up in the JK?
what kind of soft top you got installed on your JL??
Is there any plan to produce tvs1900 for fj cruiser 1GR-FE?
Is there a lot more maintenance required after installing a supercharger? I’d definitely consider one of these! 🤙🏼
is this supercharger CARB legal already?? If so, how much to install it to a Gladiator?? Thanx
Anything for the similar 3.6 in the current Dodge Charger ?
will it pass smog check in california?
How does the ECU will form? Are you guys will send us a new ECU for the supercharged or you will send us a file to download it and installe it?
I have a Chrysler 300 3.6 I’m wondering if I can install this in mine,as they share the same pentastar engine
Wait a tick, I saw that guy in a car tv series if I’m not mistaken
Should the Coil pak and Plugs be replaced or you can use the original?
You can reuse the original!
@@magnusonsuperchargers8285 I live in Minneapolis, do you have a list of shops for install somewhere?
How much cost
Hoe to order?
Competition for RIPP. Why not swap cam and heads and then a pulley swap w/tune? A SC’d V6 will be much lighter and much cheaper to own than Jeep’s upcoming 470hp (crank) 392 V8 Wrangler, that is supposedly starting at $70k. I’d add more rear gear - maybe a 3.92 or higher.
Just saw a video with a hemi jeep for sale. They wanted 112,000$.
@@frankcastle9691 it’s insane. But it’s capitalism & someone will buy that. A blown V6 is the way to go - add heads, cam and pulleys. Or a diesel without emissions w/tune.
anyone here have one installed on a manual transmission jeep?
Currently in the process
@@breakitfixit5102 How did it go?
we are doing a magnuson on a 21 gladiator now here at competition auto in springlake NC now
@@breakitfixit5102 Any issues?
Y’all want to try this on mine 🥺
What are the dyno gains and shop time?
Another video showed 210 stock at the rear wheels on a JT Rubicon and 309 at the rear wheels after the Magnuson was installed. The video was in Arizona I believe and it was 100 degrees out during the test. You get almost 100hp boost. I quoted at the wheels, not the engine.
@@onebridge7231 i decided to get the diesel instead. So far I love it. On 37s it gets 24 on the Highway hand calculated.
@@mattbrew11 You may be able to squeeze more HP/TQ from your diesel when Banks kit becomes available. His kits are reliable, safe and make lots of power. Your MPG will remain the same or increase. I used Banks in my Duramax and it was formidable.
@@georgiafan6618 I already tuned it through another vendor since posting that. Dyno’ 285HP 488TQ. Now it’s on 40s getting 23 mpg combined and feels like a whole new vehicle. DEF is disable, EGR disabled and there’s a much more streamlined exhaust system 😉
@@mattbrew11 I'm considering the diesel, but the DEF system has me worried. Did you do exhaust or did you turn it off on the computer?
Spend the xtra money and get a v8 swap. Sure it gets you the horse power but still has to work far harder A v8 Will last 3 times longer and pull any Jeep like nothing. Go to a place that does v8 swaps and there is a wall of super chargers there
How much does that run? About 15 K I assume?
About depending on what motor u go with i bought a used l86 460 foot pounds of torque stock with a 8 speed transmission with 5 k miles on it for 6k. Swap kit is like 7k then a good radiator
V8 swap is WAYYY more expensive and tons of issues! I had ine swapped V8 jeep and its nothing but electric issues. Real pain in the ass
@@alexkin3265 then u had a 1/2 azz job done. Mine was done 4 years ago 0 issues
@@erikbrown2682 i got it already swapped, so someone did shitty swap and the thing is nobody can fix it/figure out whats happening... Lol
