@@chrisjoseph3970 I've owned many cats. And that cat is not relaxes. It keeps moving whenever the puppy gets near. It realizes it's a baby, so it tries to get away from it instead of attacking it. It wants nothing to do with the puppy (at least in this video), but the puppy wants to be friends and won't leave the cat alone. Watch how the cat keeps getting up and leaving whenever the puppy gets near. Look at how the tail moves. It's been a while since I watched this, so I don't remember exactly, but I'm pretty sure it had airplane ears too.

We adopted my daughters lab when she outgrew their house. We live in the country and she turned out to be a great watchdog. I had taken her outside to do her thing when a little kitty wondered up from nowhere. I watched closely and Flutter (named by my Granddaughter) was curious about the little kitten, not at all aggressive. The little kitty (Missy), adopted us. She sits on a chair and grooms Flutters ears. They truly love each other and I love to watch them together. 💕

Most likely they have feelings but the amount of resources we would need to keep them alive is staggering. And since most of them have lived in a controlled environment their entire lives it would be hard to integrate them into the wild, or in some cases open pens. I know it’s not ideal but focus on the worse off animals first. At least livestock as a species will survive. We are close to loser many species and trying to save a few cows won’t help.

This is so adorable. I just got a new puppy about 3 or 4 days now and he’s only 2 weeks old. So we got to bring him to our home and our other pet cat knew he was a puppy. She was so pissed at first seeing him in the cage. But as soon as I walked inside to check on them the next day she was so calm with him and they don’t even bark or meow at each other and my cat was always watching making sure he was ok. And I knew from the beginning as she was sitting with him they were friends after. If your curious about his name we named him “Crawler

I was very nervous introducing my puppy to our resident cat(18y/o). She started hissing when he got close and doing the same jab technique with her claws retracted. Now I'm starting to think that they would be fine playing with each other because she's such a gentle, caring cat :)

@@Bluesachwill So I'm pretty sure alot of the time that hissing isn't a sign the cat is upset, but it's a test; if the cat hisses at you and you're hostile, you will react. If you stay calm/non-aggressive after the hiss they keep testing

Every night my mum's cat would jump out from under her bed and grab her ankles when she took her slippers off then run away laughing. Every night she'd throw one of her slippers at him and curse. Neither of them ever learned.
My cat and my mom are both afraid of each other and my cat would always run back up the stairs! XD
Irene it's a bit similar with our parrot and my mother.. Whenever my mother feeds him, she will put some fruit on top. And when she forgets it, or there is no fruit around at the moment, he'll go to the foodbowl, put his toes in, grab a bit of the food, and drop it next to the bowl. It's like he's asking "that's all or what?" He only does it with my mother, when he wants fruit from my sister or me, he has to "work" for it. Like solving a little puzzle or speak or something. Of course he gets fruit from us as a natural diet, too, but it turns out, that he ignores the fruit in the bowl, when we have fruit in our hands. Just like "THIS is the fruit I want, what am I supposed to do with that stuff in the bowl?" Thinking about it.. Probably neither the bird, nor my mother, sister or me learned the lesson, huh?

@@DrDiabolical000 Yeah, they're literally trying to protect their ears from getting bitten/hurt that way in a fight. At that point, the owners would no doubt have intervened and seperated the two and switched to plan b and carefully introduced them slowly some other way. The hisses where just courtesy/pro forma hisses, just making a point "my place my rules", the pups "invaded" the cat's territory after all. She didn't feel threatened though.
@@macsmith2013 Kittens and cats also flatten their ears when play fighting. So it doesn't have to mean a serious attack is about to happen. Its just a instinct to protect the ears even when play fighting.

Cats are not fools. He (or she) just saw the puppy as the new electric blanket. We adopted a lost kitten and he slept curled up with our dog from the first day we had him.. Did you have your cat from a kitten.? most cats who are protective about their back legs have had someone pick them up from them and it causes the cat a lot of pain. Children often do not realize that they are hurting the cat.
