    • Boeser is a nice net presence guy and trigger guy, but I think these highlights overall still give a pretty illuminating picture of how far he is from being a real core piece guy, and also kinda how overrated goal scoring can be if it's just an extension from your real play driving pieces. Hughes, Petey and Miller were just buzzing all over the ice and were everywhere, and Boeser pretty much only showed up incidentally while extending the puck into the net. Essentially the exact same role Horvat had last year before asking for too much money. He's kinda having the same role as post-injury Stamkos had on the Tampa Cup teams, where he essentially was their 5th best guy behind Hedman, Vasi, Kuch and Point. Boeser's also at best the 5th guy on Van behind Petey, Hughes, Miller and Demko.

What a difference a year makes, from being a regular name in trade talks to now sitting tied for most goals with Matthews. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Great night for Demko as well. Keep that wagon rollin' boyz!

  • After giving up that early 1st period goal, Demko bricked up the net for the rest of the game in a convincing 4-1 victory for the Canucks... Boeser with the Hat-Trick & his point streak is now at 8 games... Vancouver did a great job containing Stamkos & Kucherov giving them very few scorng opportunities...Another well earned win & 2 more big points for the Canucks...

  • The hatty for Boeser is nice, but I'm impressed from that play where he stayed with the Tampa player, allowed Demko to make the initial save, and then ensured that there would be no rebound. He is playing the 200-foot game like he said he has been working on. Hoglander was dangerous the whole night, and Demko made the key saves that were needed. All-in-all, another solid performance by the good guys in blue.

  • Last year, giving up a goal that early would have meant game over. Now, they get right back to their system after giving up a goal and generally don’t make the same mistakes again. Beating Tampa is still a big deal. Vasilevskiy is finding his game, but Brock was on fire tonight and Andrei got the monkey off his back.

  • What a bounce back season for Brock Boeser 21 goals already tied for league lead 19-9-1 through mid December what a start for the Canucks tied for 3rd in the league With Myers probably being gone and Peterson and Boeser both needing new contracts it's a good thing the cap is going up I think about 4-5 million next season

    • Hopefully the cap will go up again by 4-5 million next season as well as Boeser has already set career high in goals I think if not then really close and is only 28 games in Myers will be traded I bet freeing up cap space for Hronek and Petterson

      @Crosby4ever@Crosby4ever5 ай бұрын
    • @@Crosby4ever His career high is 29, which was his rookie season. He'll definitely hit 30 with ease the way he's been playing, and honestly even if his pace slows down, 40 should be well within reach. If he stays hot for most of the season.... no clue what kind of bonkers numbers he could put up.

They are giving up way too many goals, and it’s not exactly Vasilevsky’s fault. If it wasn’t for Kucherov right now, this team might be soon in contention for the number one pick. Tampa will be in search of a new coach at this rate. You could see at the end of this game how frustrated they are. Something has to give.

  • After watching several videos of the Stanley Cup finals from 2011, 2012 and 2014. I noticed that the teams of today play a zone defense, not more of a man to man. Today’s defenses are horrible.
