He definitely had a weak game last night though. As for desmith he has lost 2 out of his 4 games so far with a 3 GAA and .907 sv%

Don't forget bad goaltending. Yes defense is poor but at some point one of these goalies has to show something. Vitek has picked up this season right where he left off against the Rangers. Now I know why he's a career backup. We need a goalie or this season will not go far

@@deansmith6593 he’s givin us glimpses of good goaltending. We can’t put all the blame on him when the positioning with the defense and back checkers is lack luster. The defense breakdown is an issue, yes we would like to see more saves out of vitek but it starts with cleaning up the defense.

It's about perception for some people. According to the stats, TM is +11, which is third among the teams' defensemen. Mind you, I do not think he plays a lot of power play, but I could be wrong. Last year, Erik Karlsson was scored on multiple times, but he also scored a lot so he was appreciated.

Miller makes average scorers look like 50 goal men. He did the same with Bo. Once Bo left, his goal scoring production dropped.
Ian Cole was the biggest liability in the last minute of this game that could've been an extra point for the team. Instead of passing to an open teammate behind the net, he tried to shoot the puck out of the zone that was blocked inside the blue line by the opposing defense, I knew at that turnover moment that the Nucks are screwed. Had he passed the puck back to an open man behind the net, the opposing D would've backed up right away and Canucks would have the option of carrying the puck out to centre or letting the time run out. Just an absolutely mindless play, he deserves to be a healthy scratch next game.
Cole looked great for many games. This game he definitely wears the goat horns. But he's certainly not alone in that regard.
IKR, he had a WIDE open d man behind the net but chose to "softly" chip it up near side then Joshua leaves Bratt wide open like dude Cole has teh other guy. PROBABLY A GOOD IDEA TO COVER BRATT WHOS REALLY GOOD WITH 30S LEFT...
Cole has been great but he definitely messed up pretty badly there. Myers though, deserves a healthy scratch more than anyone on the team right now and it’s not even close imo.

1 year ago today the Canucks complete the comeback against the Montreal Canadiens. Today they did the comeback but couldn’t hold on to it, the defence was horrible tonight.
That was one of the most epic comebacks I've watched in a minute, had me fired up. Disappointed with the L but you can't win them all!
Same thing in reverse from my Devils fandom. "OMG boys this is good it's 5-2, we can stand strong and win. Then it's OMG now it's 5-5 and nail-biting all the way." Roller coaster of emotions from both our stand points. But can't say this wasn't an exciting game!
And also, I love those Canucks uniforms. They look fresh. Plus add Demko's helmet which I loved

Worst part of this game was listening to Ray Ferraro for a full game.
That was a terrific comeback by the Canucks to come back from 2-5 and then tie the game with 3 consecutive goals!! But then with only 30 seconds remaining in the game, the Devils drive a dagger straight into the hearts of Canucks fans by scoring the go ahead goal which would prove to be the gwg! The Canucks are my #1 fav team and the Devils are my #2 fav team, so this was a very interesting game to watch! And all 3 Hughes brothers were playing in this game!

The Kings came from 3 down to win today. Even the Sharks came from 3 down to win today. The fact that the Canucks came back from 3 down only to lose in the last 30 seconds from a bonehead play really stings, you obviously see the safer pass options and Cole took the riskiest pass. I won't mention Myers since the rest of the comments here are already doing so. Also Hoglander doesn't deserve this after that 3rd period performance and giving Canucks that tying goal.

If this was the playoffs game 7, we’d have lost. Especially the way our defence was playing, with Myers in the line up as well, not a good sign. Not enough crisp passes, too many show off passes behind the back hoping to be the highlight reel. It’s a good thing it’s not the playoffs and only Dec. but clocks ticking and we’re already passed 1/4 of the season.

Too much room in front of demko, too many open lanes, defense standing around doing nothing half the time letting guys skate on by no problem. Not aggressive enough on the back checking, the other teams are getting in too easily sometimes. Need to disrupt the other teams passing more. Lots of room for improvement.
