We all know it’s nothing but pure hate for T.O. Dude is simply one of the greats!
Well in fairness, T.O. brought the hate on himself. He was sort of a douche, he came across as a me first type of person, he threw his teammates under the bus, he was loud and not humble at all. That rubs some people the wrong way. He asked for it and he got it. His numbers are without a doubt off the charts, but to say he is 100% above Harrison or Tim Brown, for instance, or any other person NOT named Moss or Rice or Don Hutson and Steve Largent.
@@puppethound there is players that did a lot worse than he did and were on the list so him as a person doesn’t matter to what he was as a football player
@@greatnezz10 says you
@@greatnezz10 From the outside, TO and Dion could both be looked at as huge trash talkers, and a lot of people disliked both of them for it. However, not a single person who played with Dion disliked him, and almost everyone who played with TO hated him. Dion brought his team together with his trash talk, and TO split it apart. At one point, he was released from a team, with the team still needing to pay him millions, because the team was better without him, and not because of his play on the field, but because of what he did to the team.

I agree with Deion, if he was number 2 and 3 in the stats categories, then it was people on the panel that looked at what happened off the field instead of what he did on the field.
Just looking at stats though - not an objective point of view. The game became VERY pass happy in the mid 90’s and stats were inflated. Big time. TO would always be dominant sure, but she makes VERY valid points.
@@oregonguy13 bra... the greatest reciever is from the 80s... Jerry has 0 , 90's ring... so a pass happy white man owner league.. has nothing to do with stats.. Adrian Peterson ran over 2000 yards recently.. as well as ya boy on the ravens and broncos... and I believe a k.c. priest Holmes almost ran 2000.. it was a 180 lb Texans running back that ran 1800 yards... what does pass happy mean vs 60 minutes of football ?
@@oregonguy13 Even in a pass-happy environment, TO still stood out among his peers. There've been great receivers in TO's generation like Isaac Bruce, Torry Holt, Marvin Harrison, etc., and not one of them was better than TO. You could say Randy Moss, but they're on similar levels. Basically, Judy Battista wasn't willing to admit what Steve Largent and Deion pointed out: the real reason they kept him off the All 100 team was because they had an ax to grind regarding his personality. Do you really think Marvin Harrison is better than TO? I'm just glad Deion and Largent called it out because you can't make the argument that Harrison belongs on the list because of the numbers but TO doesn't.
And nothing happened off the field. No rapes like big Ben. No armed assaults like Incognito. No massage scandals like owner Kraft. No drunken driving like Irsay. What's the problem? A Black man with his own way of doing things. That's the problem. Many whites only like folks who conform and bend to their ways. Thanks T.O. for always being T.O. No homogenizing.

I’m glad to hear Deion Sanders mention Sterling Sharpe! I have no idea way this man not in The Hall of Fame! For 7 seasons he was putting up the same type of statistics Jerry Rice that had during the time! I’m hearing that his career wasn’t long enough! No disrespect he played the number of years that Terrell Davis and to me one of the greatest running backs in NFL history Gale Sayers! Sterling played more games then Terrell and has more touchdowns! I think that selection and voting process should be given to players who are in The Hall of Fame! What better person to know what a HOF player looks like! HOF players from the offense and defense would select players from their position that they played! Then send those selections to the voting committee. I’m sorry these reporter’s having issues with a player and using that against them is ridiculous! Stop the madness and elect this to the HOF!
