She whines every time a guy spikes the ball when he scores. Like everyone should just slink off the field like a robot. Human emotion adds to the game. Again, a short career that included sharing the backfield with another HOF runner, so never getting full time touches. Even so, he was feared for both the speed and power, and without looking it up I know his yard per carry was well over five in an era where most linebackers were tacklers and did not excel at pass coverage.

The famous Munson call of the sugar falling from the sky when Georgia made a 4th quarter goal line stand to win the game 19-14. The only time they faced each other in football. And yes. The next winter and spring they competed in indoor and outdoor track and field and Bo did beat him indoors in the 60. I was there.

    • Im bo fan . But herschel was a rare freak also and had a few times faster than bo and bo beat him sometimes. Both crazy southern black americans that likely are a result of genetics from africa and the way sadly slaves were bred. Over the 400 years they would weee out the weak or less powerful and breed the males with most good genes. You look at bo and his 12 brothers and sisters in pics. 2 of his brothers are bigger and as muscular as him .. its why southern blacks are so powerful

  • I had the privilege of watching Bo Jackson play at Legion Field against my alma mater, the University of Alabama. Amazingly, we won - because of one of the most ridiculous coaching calls of all time. Bo Jackson OWNED us, ran over us like a train every time he had the ball. At fourth and goal for the winning touchdown, Pat Dye faked Jackson up the middle and swept Brent Fullwood right with the ball. Rory Turner "waxed the dude" at the one. Bama won. Damnedest thing I ever saw. We hooted and spewed trash at the losers... Now I'm an old guy, and I realize the history I was watching. Bo Jackson is the greatest athlete to ever strap up shoes - and I saw him when he was a kid - so was I. There are many experiences I'm grateful for. This is one.

    • Such disrespect, Bo was awesome but he wasn't the prototype, that would be Jim Brown. Understand, cinder tracks are not as fast a surface as synthetic rubber, and grass is not as fast as artificial turf. Yet Jim still clocked 9.6 at 100yds. Imagine what his time would have been on the newer surfaces. Also, OJ's World-class Olympic speed puts him first. Nothing against Bo. An OU freshman back named Marcus Dupree was just as awesome as Bo on the football field while sharing carries with 3 other backs in the wishbone, prompting Switzer to switch to the I-Formation the following year. But Dupree was manipulated and misinformed by a Mississippi grifter and didn't return.
