That is one of the strangest stops in play I've ever seen in a hockey game.

Never had this happen till we had climate change!!! OK, you all had to know that post would come at some point. Climate change people don't watch hockey as I am sure they will say the ice releases some kind of green house gasses :) so I made the post for them. :)

as an employee at an nhl rink, we ALWAYS keep our curtains closed for this very reason! we had a cirque du soleil show not too long ago and if the lights got in their eyes it seriously risked their lives - please close the curtains when u go through the walkways!!
The usher up there needs retrained. no way sunlight coming through like that should have ever happened.

That used to happen a lot at day games at the Great Western Forum in LA back in the 80's. They never stopped play, though. The Kings were usually already down 4 goals to Calgary, so.... no one was sweating it.

Happened to me as well. Very high dumps can be tricky for a goalie, as the lights can blind him.
I don’t see anything wrong with this stoppage. They pause baseball games if this happens so why not here

Maybe there's a good reason for this, but why put big windows/ceilings opposite to an entryway like that? Just make that small segment of the concourse a solid wall then you probably wouldn't even need the curtains. Or have a standing partition by the area immediate to the entryway.
That would make too much sense, and we can't have that 😅

I played outdoor hockey with the sun and I played in old "barns" that let sun-light in. I never had to endure this ULTRA-SHITTTTY, LOUD, MUSIC that today's goalies have to endure. THANK CHRIST!!
BLEEP man I don't know how they bleeping do it in Indoor/Arena Lacrosse, they blast that shitty music all game long, even when play is going on. Like how can anyone concentrate on the game at all with all that crap going on? Maybe that is why even though the Lacrosse goalies look like walking Gundam Tanks the scores are usually like 16-13 or some crap.
