  • Conan was probably the youngest late night host ever and single for a long time, and it was the 90s, so this kind of fawning over an attractive woman on air could be seen as charming or cute. I doubt it'd work today, with the climate and every guy host being a middle-aged married man...

  • Conan regularly gets away with creepy behavior and comments towards women even today because he can play it off as being a complete clown jester so no one takes it seriously. What normal guys would get reported for doing, the women laugh for conan. Long live the king.
