The Story of s1mple 2.0: The Greatest of All-Time

2021 ж. 26 Қар.
1 362 615 Рет қаралды

It took s1mple a while to find himself.
But after the uncertainty and disappointment of his earlier years, on Natus Vincere, it was s1mple’s time to show the world what he was truly capable of.
2020 looked like it was going to be the year s1mple finally won his long-deserved Major -- the year he would indisputably prove who was the true GOAT of Counter-Strike.
But it wasn’t meant to be -- there was no Major in 2020, as the world was engulfed in a global pandemic, and the few esports events that did happen took place online.
From the outside looking in, it seemed as if s1mple’s one chance had passed him by -- like he was cursed to never win the big trophy.
But s1mple wasn’t ready to give up.
This year has been s1mple’s best year yet -- going into PGL Stockholm, he had it all: the drive, the talent, and the team.
But the real question was...would he finally have his Major?
This is his story.

  • Some people always disagree and claim that another player is the best (zywoo, niko, device, whatever else..), and sure their performances and stats are insane. But the fact that their rating and performance drops significantly when playing against s1mple just shows that he is just on another level. Zywoo just went from highest rating in Blast Fall Final to 3rd after facing s1mple, which just says it all

    @sfqm1083@sfqm10832 жыл бұрын
    • For this tournament yes but overall ZywOo rating always went up after facing s1mple in 2019 and 2020 which says it all, He's as much GOAT as s1mple and has a good chance of surpassing in the future if he keeps up and finds a good team which is not the case with the current roster.

      @simhz2221@simhz22212 жыл бұрын
    • @@simhz2221 did you even watch Vitality games in 2020? Anytime they played against a top tier team (Gambit, Heroic, Navi), Zywoo was even bottom fragging in already a negative kd team. You are obsessively ignorant if you claim that Zywoo is only underperforming “for this tournament”. s1mple has always been a top rated player since Team Flipside, and only fell to a close (and very narrow) second to Zywoo in 2019 when Astralis’s dominance was dissipating and s1mple was still getting used to a new team. Small margin of stats aside, what exactly has Zywoo achieved to cement himself as the “GOAT”? I’ve seen more highlight plays and accolades from sh1ro than this fremchman. Mask these facts all you want with superstition that zywoo has “a chance of surpassing in the future”, but the reality is zywoo isn’t even close to as dominant and consistent as s1mple this whole damn year, so what value does your delusional prediction have?

      @sfqm1083@sfqm10832 жыл бұрын
    • @@sfqm1083 Slow down dude not sure why you're mad, seems like ZywOo stole your gf or something? ZywOo was ahead of simple in 2019. In 2020 either could have been #1 objectively. I believe s1mple is GOAT after this year but ZywOo has a good chance (and the talent) in the future provided he has a really good team around him like simple now. Not a prediction but that's my opinion. ZywOo has always been dominant since the beginning. He's the greatest FPL player of all time , #1 first two rookie years against prime s1mple and #2 in 2021 most likely while playing in a dead team. 2021 was a horrible year for Vitality overall but ZywOo keeps on performing. S1mple and Zywoo always are brought up for comparison and the stream always ends up with the chat quarreling arguing who’s got more trophies or who’s better every time there’s a match between Navi and vitality in china.
