Mark you said you "Don't understand the wagon worship." As a dad with 2 kids that hates SUV's, this gets my pants tight. The practicality of a wagon with added car handling is the reason we love them. This is why I have a golf sportwagen 4motion with a 6 speed manual. The last one to come to the states. I'll keep it forever or until someone else releases a fun wagon under 40k. Which will be never.
I get it. Id feel the same if they had a 750HP minivan for the stupid factor.
@@savagegeese dodge hellavan is coming. Pepper your angus
Same reasons I got my BMW E61 wagon. Fits 2 kids in the back. Easy to throw a stroller or dog in the hatch. Drives like a 535i sedan. Doesn’t look like an X5.
People who have the space for multiple vehicles will never understand wagon worship. If you need one to do everything then wagon's are where its at. Mark has what, like, 3 or 4 cars?
@@bradcomis1066 I have 3 cars now. But when if I had to go back to one and had limitations on it having to do everything, that would be an impossible choice to make. I doubt Id spend 120k on one car, unless I only physically could only store one car. Id rather have some piece of trash family hauler kids could cover in boogers, be a selfish prick and get some lime green sports car to show everyone I dont need a strong hairline.

Yes, in the Netherlands where I live, the RS6 is the most used getaway car bij criminals. I am not kidding! The insurance costs go through the roof because they get stolen for that purpose. Sorry but doug ain’t emotional, he is kinda weak imho
@@111tombomb Emotional as in conveying how you feel when seeing and driving this car. You can hear it in his voice, how excited he is when he goes into all the little details of his "Quirks and Features".
@@kanonenfutter8433 sorry, he has the same voice in every video and car he does. He barely drives them. I guess it comes down to taste and preference but I rather see car being driven at a certain pace with nice cinematic shots and someone who actually knows about it rather than giving it a “ cool factor” score and all that BS. Savage Geese is one of the best if not the best technical reviewer out there. EVO, Carfection, The smoking tire, Chris Harris on Drive etc... are much better and make a lot better use of content. Love that Tachometer edit. Grears go up Speed goes down :D
Does it maybe display remaining speed to time leap velocity?
Except at 15:58 you can see it's about to tick to 3 digits on the heads-up display. I don't know why they don't turn these off since it's hard to blurr out. :)
@@richardnavratil9661 Yeah, these edits are comical, and here especially since these two total car and video editing buffs didn't think of the HUD. But also generally: The idea that you can always dodge accusations if you edit the video is silly. In case common sense is not enough, you can make clear mathematical deductions from RPM and gear displayed there which would hold up in a court of law if someone made the effort. And the theoretical it's-all-CGI dodge shouldn't be of much use because there is no motive for faking it subtly towards being incriminating and it also works the other way, because if they employ CGI that makes it look relatively convincing, then they could also use that CGI to edit out speeding evidence. This makes less sense than the f-bleeping trope. If I made videos like this and really cared about potential issues with speeding, I'd definitely put some effort into it so that it is convincing. ... And not even mock it by making it extra-obvious with that slow downcounting. - They're like: Look, we edited this to not show the real speed. - Lawyer: I wonder why. 🤔

Gotta appreciate the behind the scenes research and planning Mark and Jack do before they even shoot (let alone all the excellent editing afterwards). The mechanical section where they’re under car going over the technical stuff; the fact that they can absorb all this technical info and then be able to talk about it for us to consume and understand without reading from a script, while also meshing so well with each other, not just reading tech specs/numbers from a sheet is what made me notice and appreciate that effort.

Can I just take a moment to appreciate the work that goes into your videos: I am not sure viewers appreciate the amount research that goes into making such a video, sourcing videos and graphics from manufacturers, editing etc, incredibly smooth, compliments. I mostly follow European Tubers because there is more emphasis on tech and engineering vs entertainment. I appreciate that might mean a smaller audience but you guys really are the benchmark in compressing relevant information into a 20-something minute product! I love the dry nature of your videos!
