I'm NOT surprised at all. I tuned my VW sportwagen TDI. Thats a 4cyl diesel 140Hp with 240 ft/lbs of torque. Stage one is just a software update. It bumps it up to 170Hp and 300 ft/lbs. Now imagine what a software update can do to a V8 twin turbocharged and over 4L gasoline engine.
At stage 1 aswell, ridiculous.
@@tedmarakas2626 the audis with 3.0 tdi can go from 204 hp to 330hp, aslong as the car has a turbo there is alot of tuning potential. This isnt anything new tho

Yeah, it’s less reliable than your pedestrian ‘Yotas that use infotainment, ride/suspension management, engine and other tech from yesteryear. Yet, that is the whole point in this segment and for the intended target audience.
RS6 Avant has been my ultimate dream car forever. My 2020 A4 Allroad is as close as I’ve come so far. Two different animals for sure. My 2018 S3 was absolutely great as a sub compact sports sedan as a daily driver, but compared to my Allroad I don’t miss it at all. But my goodness, here in Atlanta I’ve seen our resident grey RS6 Avant several times and I’m so jealous.
I've seen a couple of RS 6 Avant wagons in Chicago, but the most recent of the 2 that I saw is a Nardo Grey & I 😭😭😭

@@395PRS Yah and last gen basically same engine was tune-only upgraded to 700 hp, same torque across most tuning companies. Maybe upgraded turbos? I'm not sure.

Pretty sure that's a sign of underperforming or inadequate downforce at the front. My Jeep Grand Cherokee does the same thing lol the front lifts way up when I take off. Better aerodynamics at the front would do a better job of keeping it down, so it's not a good thing for a performance car to look like that

I was in an accident because the person was drunk driving and rear-ended me. Luckily wasn't an SUV but now I'm terrified of it ever happening again. So that puts one more SUV / truck on the road that doesn't really need to be there. I'm a very small person. And I want as many safety features as humanly possible.
@@Tential1 Unfortunately, SUVs only give the illusion of being safer- the higher CG makes it much harder to avoid an accident because they are not as agile and less stable in windy conditions. Hopefully you won't ever be in another accident but stay aware and don't let the SUV give you a false sense of security. Stay safe out there!

@@BrandoDrum Thats literally why they work so closely together with ABT Tuning, VAG has emission restrictions because they sell allot of cars world wide (like all big European automobil manufacturers). Only small manufacturers who sell a limited amount of vehicles like Ferrari or Koenigsegg can do whatever they want with their engines OR the more "enviroment friendly vehicles" they can sell the more V8's/V6's they're allowed to sell. So since VAG has a couple of fast and "exotic" brands under it's belt they had to make sacrifices like preformance restrictions, rev-limiters, GPF-filters, etc. To be able to keep Porsche, Lamborghini and Bugatti fast. Solution? ABT Tuning! Since they're independant they can legaly remove all that crap and tune the heavily restricted Audi engine to it's actual potential since they qualify as a "small manufacturer", it's a loophole and thus a win-win for both companies. Thats why they deliberately make them so easy to ECU Tune.

The alpine b3 touring is pretty sexy. But yeah, hard to beat the RS6 in terms of aesthetics, though the Merc here isn't bad either. I would even describe it as majestic (well at least a non-pink specced one).

I entered because I recently had my car in a fairly bad accident and it continues to have issues. Having the car of my dreams would be the greatest thing ever. I actually saw a RS6 earlier today on the fwy, it was that exact color if I remember correctly, what a beast wow. I’d take the RS6 between these two simply because I own an GT63S, two different monsters is better than two of the same monsters. 🙌
This is such a hard choice for me since these two cars are ones I've wanted for ages. I think if i really had to choose, I'd go with the RS6.
I don't see why there would be a hard choice choosing between the 2. You pretty much can't feel 3 car lengths in a quarter mile. IF you like the Audi inside and outside, buying the Merc is never going to make you happy. Most Audi tunes are done in minutes and with new modules, they won't throw a TD1.
@@Todd.T well, I love all wagons so there's the tough choice. I'm not crazy about the audis interior, but the exterior wins over the Mercedes every day of the week. I could "deal" with the Audis interior for the looks and power. But, at the end of the day they're both way too expensive so it doesn't matter 😂

Finally! finally, someone showed the world that even though Audi is always at the bottom of the score board when it comes to German performance cars and their spec sheet in comparison to the "M" and "AMG" family in their stock form, all it takes is a Tune! Ever since the emission sandal, vw/audi have been "de-tuning" their car HEAILY. Way more then MB or BMW. i witnessed it many times as a vw/audi tech. and a Audi S4 owner. Throttle house I take my hat off to you. Another amazing video!

Have you ever driven a sporty car before? If you have I doubt you'd choose styling over driving thrills. I drove a rally car once and it changed my perspective completely, I'd give up literally everything I have just for one more drive in a car like that, it really is that good!
@@salahdehina9733 As the owner of an C7 RS6 Performance (previously owning [to name a few] a Mini, Lotus 7, R32, 911, 930, RS5 and Lancia Stratos), …understated but muscular looks were key, along with practicality, quattro and an Akrapovic exhaust. I note that Merc have recently addressed the AWD point. Was tempted with the Merc AMG GT (stunning looks) but it’s impractical and too tail happy for country roads. Merc wagons don’t do it for me. Just a view (from someone who can claim to have owned “sporty cars”).

Thanks for the video. I miss in all the videos how these cars behave in a narrow (3 meters wide) mountain road. It is nice to drift and so forth, even to (as shown in German autobahn) reach 300km/h. But I still miss how it can run on narrow roads like Italian, Swiss, French Alps, the Spanish Pyrenees, or the Greek roads (where I usually drive at)

I have massive respect for the E63S, but I think the RS6 did a great job, being a non-Performance version (otherwise it should be compare to the non-S E63). Having said that, I really do think the RS6 is the best looking car on the planet. Thanks again!

RS6 is “being a non-performance version”??? May I remained you that, originally an A6 rolled off the assembly line when no one even thought about producing a highest performance RS version(being S version a higher performance of A6). So, what RS is then(I know about the pointless plus one though!)??

well practically every single modern car will get more hp and torque from a tune, not just audi. problem is though, reliability will suffer. Better off leaving your car stock, or if you want more power, buy another car which has more oem power.
@@edombre4637 Third option: have a 1st-level tuner do the tuning. But then... it will cost at least as much as buying a stock car which comes with more power ;).
