Come on a journey with us. James Corden kicks off the show with a preview of the big game with Reggie Watts, and the two provide analysis we promise you won't find anywhere else. After, James looks at the headlines, including President Joe Biden heading to a modified version of the National Prayer Breakfast, and former president Donald Trump penning a letter to the Screen Actors Guild to let them know he quit (before he was set to be removed). And James wonders how much longer we're in this.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."
I kinda hope they never change the format of this show even if they do get an audience. This is always hilarious to me just banter back and forth between the crew.
Same! This show is even better in this format
They feel more free like this if you get what I mean. Not having an audience makes it feel more intimate and more genuine
@@barknozturk6319 yeah exactly!
Me too, bedazzler. Just commented on what you said.
Yessss! I love this so much! It's like we are going along on the journey with them and see where it leads!
This show got better for the lack of audience. Maybe keep it that way?
I totally agree!
Massively! Totally agree.
Agreed hahaha
Please don’t bring back the audience.
Lol corona dumb shit
I’m actually begging you never bring the audience back
Nooooooooooo!!!! Don't bring back studio audiences!!!!!! This setup is waaaaaaaay better!!!! Hahahahaha the banter with everyone in the studio is always awesome and the giggles and laughs are always contagious. Cmon. Let's keep it within the Best. Crew. Ever. ✨
Amen
Reggie is so cool!
I don't usually laugh while watching late-night talk shows, but I always bust a gut watching the dynamic and banter of the studio! Absolutely amazing.
I'm going to do it and disagree. This is just some guys hanging out and talking about stuff amongst themselves. Then there's a bit of jokes about current events sprinkled in. It's fucking boring. Why are you wearing black? Who cares? What are you doing on the weekend, Reggie? Who cares?
@@chef2303 Hanging with YOUR friends must be a bore
I don't think they have a script anymore. They just go there and start talking... the producers just out things up as it goes
They just treat it like a book club, but with news instead of books. The cameramen just hit _record_ at some point.
Yes. He's not as funny since then
@@deadpoolregeneratedegenera1683 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I think you're right!
I think they have topics to talk about but they aren't scripted lol
I think they have scripts for the news stories, but anything else is improvised.
Am I the only one that likes the show more without an audience? James seems a lot more free like he doesn't give a shit
@Lenny Roach yeah corden is so hated in Britain that only 18 million people watched his TV show last year when he brought back gavin & Stacey.
@Lenny Roach yeah only fools & horses got 24 million for its final episode in 1996. And them figures for gavin & Stacey are right. 12 million watched live & 6 million watched over 7 days on the iplayer. And aberdeen is extremely shitty right now Currently enjoying some freezing cold April weather.
@Lenny Roach if you wont watch him again, then why are you watching this video? Just to shit on him? Because honny, you are giving him engagement and money even if you hate watch.
I know you want your live audience back eventually, but honestly, seeing you banter with each other, just having fun, it makes me laugh every morning. It makes the lockdown loneliness just a bit more bearable. Thank you.
👍 I myself get up have coffee and watch all of them, before I go to work. It makes me feel good all day.
I like this format more than with an audience. Is much more fun and entertaining to watch
I love the interaction with the band. Toooo funnnnneeeeee.
Please NEVER go back to having an audience. The crew banter is SO much better!
He wrote a letter to SAG, to resign, because they were going to expel him anyway, why couldn't he write a letter of resignation to America on November 4, since we were going to evict him anyway, on January 20,

I'm honestly enjoying getting to know the crew and seeing how James, the band, and the crew all get along. They're having so much fun and I enjoy having fun through them, vicariously.
I guess I’m so isolated that hearing people having a conversation together in person now is entertaining.
I prefer this to the more structured talk shows. This is too funny.
I knew Corden would go mental when talking about breakfast 😂😂 This Brit is amazing
This show has gotten so surreal recently and I’m obsessed with it
"Who cares!" Did that stable genius end his question with an exclamation point?
I really don't care. Do u?
He doesn't understand that means the opposite.. "[someone] who cares!"

I didn't watch nearly this much James Corden before this pandemic adapted format. I feel like these guys are the only late night crew that actually improved with the no audience format. Everyone else is like the value brand equivalent of themselves
I like what Colbert has done with his wife cackling in the background
The way James just nonchalantly explains Fresh Prince has me rolling. XD
I don’t think we need the audience anymore. This is fine.
James has learned so much about his staff during lockdown
I love the interaction when James thinks things have gone wrong.....the cameramen, the producers, the band....this is brilliant! Please don't ever stop!!!!
Where is Ian!! Someone find him, i really miss him
Yea. I wish they have him at zoom at least so he can contribute to these hillarious empty conversation

@@nancynolan9011 In his Instagram Ian explains that he is a high risk and cannot risk himself going to the studio, so he opted to stay home
It’s exactly like Trevor Noah said: these monologues are like theater productions of a late night show, complete with all the casual banter and “behind-the-scenes” interactions with the crew. I love it.
I've been watching all the late shows in the morning and Corden has become my absolute favorite. The camaraderie and sincere friendships between the crew are delightful to watch. The improvisation is much more engaging than tightly scripted monologues.
When the audience returns I stop watching these shows. The audience is unnecessary. This feels so natural. Not forced at all.
Never say never .. ?
I don't often laugh out loud at tv shows, but this one had me doing just that multiple times. You all are the best at bantering.
Actually, in "Fresh Prince"; Phil and Viv flew him out first-class, there's an entire verse about it in the original/long version of the theme song. He gets the cab after he lands in LA.
Love all the ad lib and bringing the crew in on all the fun - best opening of all the talk shows now. Hope they keep it up - great fun.
James’ retelling of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme is amazing 😂 (although the extended song does talk about flying before the cab ride 😉)
I love this so much more than the traditional show. Also, y'all have the best staff.

I enjoy seeing hosts interact with crew members. Makes it less glitzy and more cozy.
“It’s a story about a guy...” Cordon’s timing and pacing are just so good, and the chemistry with the band and staff is so good. Superior to a studio audience in every way.
PLEASE limit having an audience to like one day a week top when things go back... This is so much funnier 😂
You can tell that not one person on Cordon's staff is a fan of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. He flew, my dude.
Here in the UK, I think the credits were different, it jumps straight from his mum wagging her finger to getting out of the cab in bel-air. I also used to think he took a cab the whole way
@@user-bq9rz9fw5x The credits are like that in Canada as well, in later seasons. In the first season, at least the first few episodes, the full intro is shown.
As much as I enjoy this, the banter you had with Ian was some of this show's best work. Where is he? We need some closure!
In his Instagram Ian explains that he is a high risk and cannot risk himself going to the studio
James and the crew are hilarious when they’re laid back like this! They’ve mastered awkward humor and I’m loving it :)
When you know you're not getting another Hollywood invitation....
I like how you guys have improved the show and involved the crew!
Trumps depiction of playing the role of a President was awful, worst ever and should be rightfully locked up for it
Maybe Trump won’t testify because he feels it is union busting to be acting presidential and making up stuff, if he is not in the union. What would Ronald Regan say?
He WAS The Best Worst and The Worst Best President. HE WON BIGLY in both categories!! Since he likes to win but I like Presidents' who aren't IMPEACHED!!

There's no other american talk show that makes me smile and laugh as much as this one does
It’d be interesting to see the former president trying to pronounce “Kierkegaard”. 😝
😂😂😂😂 I'm Norwegian so I know this word (name). Scandinavians pretty much have the same language, it's just some words and pronounciation that are different (kind of like American vs British, to put it simply). I still read that in the most American way possible, completely forgetting that I'm not an American struggling with Scandinavian 😂😂😂 Oopsie
Methinks "44" will pronounce it rather mellifluously! However, Clinton, Bush, and Carter might stumble - to say nothing of... 😎
When you do get audiences back, please don't change the format of the show. I love this format so much. The crew are all wonderful people, and I love the relationship James has with them. I thoroughly enjoyed this show way more during these isolated times.❤❤
Lol, i love how his monologue has developed into such an organic dialogue
Please never have an audience again. I've never loved the show more. James+Band+Crew=Gold.
Good news for you. Executive producer Rob crabb has said they are keeping this format even when they can have an audience
The fresh prince of bel air actually took a plane first and then whistled for a cap and when it came near the license plate said fresh and it had dice in the mirror :)
If anything he could say his cab was rare but he thought 'Now forget it' - 'Yo homes to Bel Air' he pulled up to the house about seven or eight and yelled to the cabbie 'Yo, homes smell ya later' he looked at his kingdom he was finally there to sit on his throne as the Prince of Bel Air

I'm going to be honest here. When he said when we going back to normal, I cried. I miss normal. When they said, maybe next year jan, that kinda hit me. Man, I'm so depressed staying home with no job. Its very hard. I'm that guy its hard to break, but 450,000 people died and people don't care, and we do our part, staying home, washing and wiping our grocery. Its sad. Very sad. But waiting for 2022 , man, I don't blame people ending their life. Suicide is all time high, mostly with kids. Good luck guys, be safe and also love each other. You don't know when the last time u gonna see them. :(
Hang in there! It looks endless right now, but there will be an end eventually and life will go back to normal! We have about one year down now! We got this 🙌🏻
Honestly, I’m feeling this too. I’m coming up on my one year anniversary of taking my kid out of school (I was two weeks ahead of the district). I thought it’d be a few weeks. Maybe a few months. I had a toddler nearly ready for preschool. I paid the deposit, I visited the preschool, I was SO excited for my little guy to go to school so that he would get what he needed and I’d get a little time to put my career back together. Instead... All I do all day is make snacks and clean. I’m so tired.
Hey Alvin! In a weird ass backward way I think you did a lot of us a great service by writing what you did. We can only tolerate this social isolation so long and then we start to what melt? Break? Decay? The isolation has an awful effect. Wake up, drink coffee, watch the news- climate change is drowning polar bears, race relations a mess, ex pres threatening to destroy people’s lives, virus infected dying alone, (yesterday a nine year old boy died near where I live) , economy in ruins ( my son lost business he worked years to build) . As Dr. Phil would say,” Don’t wonder why you are depressed, wonder what would be wrong with you if you weren’t!”
"Canada Broadcasting Situation" *Canadian laugh*
I love the opening to all these late night shows they r more entertaining n everyone is alot more relaxed n everyone is having fun
Belonging to SAG isn't too much of a surprise-- since his whole personality is nothing but an act.
he's never "Acted" in his life. All of his credits were cameos as himself when directors needed a representation of the New York or Wall Street elite. He doesn't have that image anymore, instead he is associated with corruption and authoritarianism, and there aren't many roles like that. so in his own words, "Who Cares"?
This is seriously the best thing ever... 😂😂😂 Never go baaaaaack!! We love this format and informality 👏🏾💜
This is amazing! This is the REAL James Corden. Completely sarcastic and giggly and improvising. If anyone's seen him on British panel shows you know what I'm talking about. I really hope they keep this format and don't go back to auto-cue jokes.

Maybe when they get an audience, they also start a podcast like show like this. Late Late Podcast.
Yes .. there could be a demand for live show like this ... or like the old Steve Allen variety type of entertainment. An outline script, talking/joking points and letting thing rip.
