I love how much of afraid person Ethan is of doing things himself. It makes a lot of sense, since its his first, but its just hilarious him calling on Daddy Alex for every little problem and check. Its just cute. He's lucky to have someone with experience around regardless.

The MOT history of this car is hilarious. It has failed because of: The front lights being too cloudy. Left windshield washer too low pressure. Right windshield washer too low pressure (a different MOT). The airbag being "obviously defective" one two separate occasions. Worn brake pads after 5 years of advisories on them. Different lights being out on three separate occasions. A tyre being fitted round the wrong way. Nothing major, but bloody hell a simple once over before taking it to the garage could have saved a few fails.
That's all insane! IDK how anyone in the UK with limited means or car knowledge can even own one. If I had to MOT my car they'd probably take it from me and crush it to put it out of it's misery. Structural rust, dashboard like Christmas Eve (VAG); SAIP, ABS, oil temp sensor, and probably something else, leaking; oil, steering and coolant and probably a million other reasons to fail. All that and my car isn't actually half bad against most other cars with 200k miles. I guess I should be glad I live in "land of the free to drive an absolute pile of shit".

It all should be so easy and cheap to fix... Meanwhile my car failed mot in my country because it have red turn signals, had to install amber LEDs that no one sees and hey it got pass as it's not required for turn signals to be visible in my country it requires them to be amber... So much safety in that logic...
The Mad Daddy I’ve driven a rolling pole before and while it’s a ton of fun and zero worries about it, having a nice car is a different world. No nagging thoughts of breaking down or having a tow truck on speed dial lmao Plus if I’m gonna drive a pile it’s gonna be alone I ain’t risking someone else if it splits apart on the highway

33 Subs No Videos either making a clutch pedal or if you’re lucky, swapping the clutch pedal from a donor car. Either way you’re on your back in the footwell and it fucks your back up, hence the chiropractor. Ask me how I know.

I JUST bought a Z3 a week ago today and it’s in similar condition and I am super excited for this series of Ethans car. It’s identical in spec and general condition and I am also the same level of skill as Ethan, so this is going to be very helpful!

Could you explain it? I don't have any knowledge on welding. I'm assuming it's just because his eyes got used to the bright light from the welder and then it seemed dark when he stopped?
Mason Frudd Auto welding masks darken as soon as you start welding. You want it to go dark so you don’t get a sunburn on your eyes.
@@orangeInc311 Yup. As mista strong said, light cuming from electric arc for eyes is a big nono. God bless for masks with sensors, that goes dark automatically. Welding with old school mask is annoying, for pro it's doable, for me game over

I bought a new project recently, and it has a 4 speed manual with a pushbutton electric overdrive on the shift knob. The overdrive is a bit intermittent so I play with the knob a bit and it flies off in my hand. Right, well, found the problem 😂

11:50 Engine management light is only an MOT fail if the car was registered after July 2008. Before then its just an advisory. Edit: apparently this is only correct for diesels. I stand corrected.
It’s July 2003 for petrol and 2008 for diesels
Your wrong I’m afraid current mot guidelines state that the engine management light has to be checked on all petrol cars with less then 8 passenger seats from first of July 2003 if you have more then 8 seats it’s from July 2008 you can find the mot manual only the gov website and find it
Dave H your correct but it depends on how many seats the petrol car has 8 or more and it’s July 2008 aswell
Ah, I was only going off my own car which is a diesel and registered May 2008. I didn't realise it was different for petrol cars.
Actually no because my old diesel pug failed because of it but then re tested with it on the ramp to knock the light off and it passed and that was a 2006

It happened to me on my drivers test. I was really nervous and when i shifted gears I held to the gear knob really hard and it got twisted and went out of place.

that car was owned by people who jut about knew how to put fuel I and thats it! not checking brakes or tires, not checking washer fluid , clearly had baby seats and forgetting to turn the airbag back on after removing the seat, not checking if the lights are working etc but despite that I think they bought a good car. not a ricer, just a mum doing a short run to shops and picking up the kid
