My favorite part of that quote might just be the part Steve-O actually forgot. "If an alligator gets ahold of Steve O, Steve O will relax LET THE ALLIGATOR TAKE HIM, and hopefully the alligator will release him" But it really is a hilarious quote from Nanny.

@@beardedboon nah, it's funny man. Manny has a way of speaking that makes mundane statements sound funny. That's all it is, and it makes what he said very funny. Enjoy, bud.
Yeah it's scary because those things starts to spin (which actually can save you by losing an arm and getting away) but they try to drown you and also since they are spinning everything goes so haywire that it must be veeery hard to relax to make the alligator think that you are unconcious. I don't remember how deep the pit was, quite shallow propably because the gators tried to stand up to catch the meat but they still might spin, so not spinning with it get's the arm mangled but spinning keeps it thinking you are concious so I'm just thinking if deeper water or basically no water would be best. I don't think they spin as easily with no water and with deeper your body might spin a bit better when relaxed than with the gator on shallow water where you kinda have to spin your body with it to not screw the arm completely but then you cannot really relax.

Make no mistake, Johnny’s body is broken. I can’t say with absolute certainty but, I think it’s a pretty safe bet that Steve-o is in the same boat.

My favorite Manny line of all time was with the toy car in the butt thing that Dunn did, when he walked in and saw it all go down and they asked him what animal Dunn was like in nature and he replied “This doesn’t happen in nature..”
Manny took Wildboyz to a whole other level. It could have easily felt like a knock-off of their own Jackass brand, but the animals and Manny made it feel entirely original somehow.

I always looked at those Steve-O bits a little differently from the others in that it was more about him sorta conquering the obstacle rather than necessarily succumbing to it. He's like nature's Gladiator.

I remember when wildboyz was on the air thinking that we were fortunate to have such a fantastic successor to Jackass Such a good show on so many levels. Entertaining and educational with a hell of a theme song and such beautiful international destinations
Wildboyz and Jackass 2 were the absolute peak. I've loved what they did before and since but those were straight up art.

Some parts of the body heal faster than others, they eyes being the fastest, it seems like anything involving our five senses heal fast that is why damage can occur if things aren’t done correctly, because scar tissue can form rapidly and damage the organ.
I love how often Steve laughs. More research is coming out about how healing laughing is to the body. They know it lowers blood pressure, and relaxes nerves, but more information will likely come out about the amazing healing benefits of laughing. Who was it, Charlie Chaplin? Who said a day without laugher is a day wasted?

It's true that the sheer amount of LUCK these two (and Bam as well, I suppose) experienced was unbelievable. It's actually incredible that Dunn died in a "non-Jackarse show", non-performance situation (speeding in a fancy car), rather than via some stunt gone wrong. In a different universe, there would have been fatalities all throughout filming. 🎭☠️🎭

When I saw Manny say that I was like wtf, because standard practice if a gator gets you is to wrap your arms and legs or whatever you can around the gators body, so that when it rolls you roll with it instead of having your arm torn off lol
I have to imagine this show served a crucial purpose for every Gen-Xer and Millennial who either didn’t listen to or for whatever reason just didn’t have a Boomer parent telling them horror stories about the world before occupational, health and safety standards… as much as this show may have inspired “copycats” the thing it always did way better than TikTok ever could was showing the consequences.

This show was so great. Not the same now, time has changed I've changed. But oh my when the show first came out I was 19 and the first couple movies in my early 20s and they were just epic. I had Jackass, Wildboyz and Viva La Bam on TV 24/7 through the mid 2000s. Now these guys are old and shit I'm 41 myself.
