Luke and Vader restored the balance in the force but all this shows is that the power vacuum after the Empire destroyed the galactic stability, and it turns into a galactic wide battle royale, in my opinion not very balanced. Would've been cool to see the Eternal Empire included here since it's among my favorite parts of the EU, but I can understand why it wasn't. I always did wonder what became of Zakuul after its decline, but I guess we'll never know now...
My guess is that they were either absorbed into becoming a member of the Republic (with the light-sided Knights becoming part of the Jedi Order) or entirely wiped out by the Sith.
@@jakobrenner2230 "Remember my name when your accursed alliance collapses." ~Valkorion. It is my headcanon that it collapsed from infighting and in a similiar way to Rome. Over time the people became ideologically divided and instead of becoming a powder keg waiting to explode, alongisde with Pirate raids, the Jedi and the Sith destroyed themselves within it, which lead to Zakuul secceeding from the Eternal Alliance and becoming an Isolationist empire. And Valkorion's line may or may not going extinct. But this is me not counting the human factor and the Alliance commander's identity being lost to time, otherwise the possibilities are endless. But I am sure The alliance either fell like Rome or joined the Republic later/destroyed by the Jedi. Probably the latter because in the Galaxy, the Light Side WILL win. Not only that, Zakuul is what Kriea wanted the Jedi to become. A jedi Does not compromise, so they could have declared what is essentially a Jihad against the alliance and Annex it entirely.
@@TheNamelessScholarOfficial actually Zakuul is for the large part never rediscovered. Juat became a medieval world with technological ruins
@@dorukcider4117 headcanon of yours? I'm playing the MMO atm and last time Zakuul was taken over by the exchange. Never becoming a medieval world. (I didn't become the Emperor) mine was just a guess I did with the assumption that the identity of the commander was lost to time. Btw, the Jihad I mentioned happened a few centuries after the MMO. Afterwards Zakuul became isolasionist like the chiss did.
How at 5:45, the Sith Empire’s expansion is synced perfectly with the music is amazing.
By the way there is a mistake in Legacy Era The Jedi Order started a project called Ossus Project to heal and restore the worlds which are damaged by the Yuuzhan Vong, that's why the Galactic Federation expanded a lot, that's correct But the Fel Empire expanded during those times too, because they started a similar project like Ossus Project to spread their influence and for aiding planets. That project was called *"Victory Without War"*

Basically New Zealand
I think legends is really strong when it comes to old republic stuff, the wars actually look like wars, vs just how drastically the entire galaxy changes in post original trilogy legends, just seems a bit messy. I mean I know more of the Galaxy had been mapped by then and better hyperspace travel and yadda yadda yadda, but I think that all of the new republic stuff needs to be spread out a bit more too, like instead of a few hundred years between events, there's like a month between one major sith take over to the next
I think you could chalk a lot of it up to being post OT and Pre prequels a bit of a hit or miss thing with books. Also less video games
I do think some of the timeframes are too long though. Like, I really doubt that Pius Dea could maintain control over a nominally democratic galactic republic for 1500 years. That's like if the pope established control over all of Europe right after the fall of the Roman Empire and maintained it to this day.
@@sirius940 The pope did kinda do that, after Roman authority in the west fell, the Pope became the "emperor figure" in the west, outranking any christian king and being their spiritual and ceremonial liege lord Now that was in the middle ages, and he eventually lost power with the protestant reformation, but this is an advanced society technologically (easier to mantain authoritarian power) and filled with magic-wielding super soldier wizards terrorizing the common citizenry with war after war, it's not impossible for an institution to gather such zealotry as need to mantain lenghty theocratic rule

i like how when the new republic era happened and the rebelion became the new galatic republic, the empire was IMEDITATLY renamed: imperial core and sectots
So we're going to talk about Malgus' Sith Empire which lasted for about a week but not the Eternal Empire that curb stomped both the Galactic Republic & Sith Empire for over 5 years?
The Eternal Empire was barely an empire and its control of the galaxy was extremely fragile. It was the eternal fleet itself that allowed Zakuul to prop itself up as an empire. Arcann used the eternal fleet to destroy nearly the entire republic and sith fleets forcing them to surrender by paying tribute and having portions of the eternal fleet blockade their most important worlds. So the moment the fleet was not a threat (and later destroyed) the "empire" ceased to be and the galaxy returned to status quo.
Dude the Chiss never expanded once, they just took control of a small portion of the Galaxy and stayed there minding their own business
cleverest thing to do
That's an accurate description of chiss ideology
It's that no preemptive strikes policy
90% of it ia basically the Hapes, the Hutts and the Chiss vibing while the republic or equivalent in turn fights the sith empire or the equivalent in turn
I think we need a movie/series about the yuuzhan vong empire
It would be fucking disgusting, and it’s not canon so Disney won’t give a fuck
Hopefully Ashoka makes them canon again
Non-star wars fan here: Anyone have an explanation for A) Why all these republics keep getting overthrown and B) Why the hutts still exist
Well the republic lasted long time 24 thousand years I think the republic we see during the prequels lasted 1 thousand years and the new republic only lasted 3 decades from my understanding still for the most part it wasn't that common and the hutts still exist because they rarely go to war or anything not to mention in legends they have a pretty large army
Republics are always unstable
I know this is really old but Hutts are still around because they generally don't fight in the big wars, they profit from them. They are a criminal empire and it's hard to kill all the criminals, you kill what Hutt and another takes its place. So they kinda stick around and most of the galaxy gets used to living with them as long as they don't step too out of line.

The entire Galaxy at all times: *In shambles* Hapes Consortium: *I'M CHILLING*
As you can see, the New Republic- or rather Galactic Federation Triumvirate, has suffered from several intergalactic wars, some of which almost wiping them out, in very rapid succession. With so many battles I would imagine that they are highly weakened both militarily and politically, and I predict their complete collapse into warring states within the next 100 years. Should the Hapes Consortium ever militarize significantly enough, they could definitely become a dominant power at such a time. The Hutts have been the longest civilization in galactic history, and despite constant government changes I don't believe it would be far fetched to say that their society is quite decadent. Either a completely new Hutt empire will replace them, or they will find themselves conquered.
